Just sit back for a minute and see how this government has so disunited this country over the past 5 years. There is nothing you hear these days beyond tribal spats and schisms on all media. Threats and counter threats.

Though social consciousness is on the rise which is a good thing but coming at the expense of nationalism which has fallen to an all time low is just tragic. Say what you wish but the evidence is clear. This is the most divided period in the history of the nation pre 1967. The state of the union is seriously weak held together only be the thin string of intimidation and fear instead of the strkng links of sacrifice and solidarity.

This has been the most ethno-centric government, the poorest quality leadership for a generation. I just cannot see what kind of legacy will be endowed once their time in office is over. Folks will surely look back in horror.... too bad.

Leopard is ekun while cheetah is amotekun cos they share similarities.

I pray it works or we all will forever remain in bondage, imagine threatening awhole race that wants to safeguard the life of its people same thing the bloody Fulani infested government has failed to do.
No be una dey support this people? na una call them brothers over your own southern brothers? abi una don forget who dem be before?.You guys allowed politics and greed to cloud your sense of judgment and brought in a cow herder to rule us all..APC left young educated and efficient hands in the party to bring in a dollard who knows nothing but his cow and how to protect his kinsmen who knows nothing but violence
..Now they have spilled so many blood just for their cows to live and for them to dominate our land.Sey una eye don open? some fools are still blind and are only waiting till this people come to their territory to rape their women and kill their children, only then they will understand why it is dangerous to allow a Lion into the kingdom of the kangaroo.

Make una unite with us SE & SS una say No, una sey na Hausa/Fulani be una brothers but to them you guys are just pawn in the game of chess in the Nigerian politics. Didn't you guys see how they could not carry out their devilish RUGA & CATTLE COLONY project across the southern country because we were united for once against them?.They panic whenever the southern region strongly unite against them because they know that is our weakness and the weapon they use is greed. They know southerners are ambitious and greedy and can betray their own for anything just to uplift him. Thereby dividing and ruling.

The Fulanis do not love anyone other than themselves. Not even the Hausas people (those ones are only called brothers to help them fight their battles when its needed but are not fit to be nominated to rule Nigeria) and the middle belt who have been fooling themselves thinking they are the same with the Hausa/Fulanis. The Benue massacre opened their eyes.

I am happy that the Odumakins'and the AFENEFERES are still standing (though they are been accuse of corrupt practice in the past but at least they are not Fulani ass lickers like the APC governors and their Father Tinubu) if the whole of the SW were to rely on their political God father TINUBU, I am sure by now half of the SW land would have been given out free of charge to the Fulanis, so that he can achieve his presidential ambition.
SW as well as their APC loyalist should open your eyes.Your being in APC does not mean you should be stupid and not smell when danger is near.

You can wear your political garment when there is no danger or a common enemy to fight but immediately if there is a sense of insecurity in your land with the knowledge of an external aggressor in your mist , then all stake holders in the SW region must remove what ever political garment they are wearing and unite to defend their land from these aggressor.

We all should put emotions, tribalism and ethnic hatred aside and examine this issue of Ametokun based purely on its merits and demerits and in light of existing laws.

The following points should guide us:

1. Internal security is an exclusive task of the FG. FG can give authority to state or local actors to improve security. Example; local vigilantes and some paramilitary organisation like Man o War must acquire police permission before operating... This is an example of FG giving other actors permission to act in improving security.

2. There's no federal law or agreement between federal and state outlining the activities to be covered by Ametokun, given the existence of police, nscdc and other existing internal security outfit... This agreement or law is important to avoid conflict between these organisations when issues of security occur. We're still dealing with superiority contest between FRSC, VIO, NSCDC, YELLOW FEVER, POLICE AND ARMY on our highways...

3. With no national law or agreement coupled with high level of illiteracy and unprofessionalism of most state workers, state governments can quickly start using Ametokun as instrument of oppression and a means of further looting state resources because security spending is often shrouded in secrecy, and even Ametokun members can take to crimes as side hustle when they start feeling dissatisfied with their salary. They have the training and the instrument of force (guns)... Who's going to prevent them from misusing both and how?

The above are just some issues worth considering.

If all the loopholes are properly plugged, then Ametokun can kick off.

We shouldn't cheer on the idea even with the obvious loopholes because it can quickly spread, every region can quickly have their own version of Ametokun and it won't be long before outside actors start smuggling weapons to these different regional Ametokuns and with the existing ethnic hatred, it won't take long before another civil war arises that will tear Nigeria apart and make current Libya and Iraq look like heaven compared to how Nigeria will look like.

We should protect our country, not our states or region or ethnic enclave.

Hisbal police in the North is what sire? Why isn’t anyone admitting the truth. The core owners of the Northern part of Nigeria “The Hausa” have been infiltrated and dominated by the marauders “the Fulanis” and they are trying to shift their cause to conquer the entire South, East and West gradually. This step taken by the West is a huge setback for their cause to conquer the entire nation. This is the plain and bitter truth everyone is turning a blind eye to or refusing to speak.

I don't mean to sound bigotry , but this is Afeni feri's most sensible statement yet ...Fulani people should know that they are not superior to any region of the country in terms of population , education and enlightenment ....
I wish Afeniferi can carry over this anger till 2023 and join hands with the Igbos and the middle belt ,to kick out this people who think they own Nigeria .. Unfortunately I doubt they would , cos its no news that they are not united like Nigeria Delta militants or Biafra , these are mere words of anger !!!
BTW i hope they consulted the landlord of the south west Tinubu , before making this statement , if he doesn't cotoh in this pohoh then it's irrelevant !!!
My brother, Biafra isn't "united" anything what is Ohaneze?? Is it South West forum, or ompadec?

I believe the original poster of that comment was referring to the average fulani being educated vs the average southerner being educated. He was not comparing a handful to a handful. Every tribe has its elite who are often well educated.

I think the jury is out on this and we need not argue.

Imagine an illiterate like Malami whose only greatest achievement is a bachelors degree as a lawyer and one useless "MBA" in Maiduguri who was imposed on the brightest Lawyers because of a Nepotistic NEPA bill President
