I have been researching Ireland and the possibilities of moving there as a student. But all I see are bad news. People are complaining about how the country is expensive, with wage being very low and jobs scarce.

Is this true or its just normal talks

ICaSNg, Chiggsglover, Abuhusna1 and others, thank you very much. The 5 Yr ban has been rescinded and they have asked me to officially submit an appeal. I contacted the UKVI and the Irish embassy.. they concluded there was a mix up with dates and I truly had just one refusal in March.

Hi, I just read your testimony. Happy for you
Please I’ll like to know how long it took for the embassy
to reply you saying you could appeal.

Good Day house,

I’m new here, I need advice on what to do.
I got admission in Dublin, I applied for visa but was denied, reason been that I submitted a fake CAC certificate. I was banned from appealing and applying for visa for the next 5years.

The CAC certificate is actually an original certificate but it’s more than 20 years old. So I had to confirm from the CAC office where it was issued if they were contacted by the embassy but they said no, so I went to the their HQ in Abuja for a good standing letter stating it’s an original certificate. I submitted these documents to the embassy via a lawyer..

It’s over a month I submitted, please I need an advice on what to do next. I’m to resume 27th of January.

How long do I have to wait before I hear from them?

I had a refusal for both the UK and USA and didn't have the refusal letters at the time but I wrote a letter explaining it and also attached my application details like the appointment confirmation page; you know the one that has your reference number and stuff?

I think I can trace my appointment confirmation page from my email. I will make sure I write an explanation letter as well.
Thank you and warm regards!

Good day ICaSNg I really don't know much about how to go about applying and all that but I'm interested in knowing what it would take to get an Irish Visa and probably stay as well.

Hi guys, any one here in UCC or Limerick? Please, I'd like to ask certain questions.

1. Do I have to pay 100% tuition fee before applying for the visa as I'm aware there's no room for installmental payments?
2. What's the average payment for rent in Cork/Limerick?

Now, a general question.

When making the tuition payment, can I have the money transfered from my sponsor's account to mine and then make the payment as there could be a possibility that my sponsor (my mum) might not be available during the payment?

Thank you guys...

Hello fam,
I recently got admitted to study marketing and management strategy @ Limerick Institute of Technology and I have paid a deposit fee of 500 Euros, however due to funding I will not be able to pay my tuition fees in full which is the school requirement, if I defer my admission till next year please what happens to my deposit fee of 500 Euros?
Have u resolved this issue?

1. Do I have to pay 100% tuition fee before applying for the visa as I'm aware there's no room for installmental payments? - You can make payment in installment , but most universities require full payment before visa application/ payment deadline. If your university however accepts partial payment deposit, its better to pay at least 6000 euros / 80% of your Tuition. Emphasis on if your university accepts partial payment.

2. What's the average payment for rent in Cork/Limerick? depending on your taste- Cork @550 -650 euros per month; Limerick @400 - 600 per month

Now, a general question.

When making the tuition payment, can I have the money transfered from my sponsor's account to mine and then make the payment as there could be a possibility that my sponsor (my mum) might not be available during the payment? ---not sure if you and your sponsor will have all documents needed when you get to visa app stage.

Send them an email and notify your school's International Officer to help you reach the Embassy too

If you've done your GNIB and PPS you can try registering with an agency. It's not sure banker money but it will at least pay the bills. All th3 best.

Thanks bro. I've registered with an agency. The issue is we have to do prayer and fasting for them to call us for work

I got admission in LIT. How is Limerick.

What I have read on this Nairaland and on Quora about Ireland having high unemployment. Is making me rethink if I should go to the Uk

It only means you can't travel out of Ireland until GNIB/IRP is sorted.

You are one of the lucky people getting gnib appointment before getting here. Wait till your appointment time then go get your one year permit. Till then you can't work or travel out of Ireland but cannot be deported for that reason. Most of your mates may not get till april or may.
