Everyone has personal standards. My preferances cannot be the same as yours.
Graduates have more levarage in succeeding than someone without a cert. It doesn't mean the latter is less of a 'person' or that he/she wouldn't make it in life. Earning a degree gives one more advantage.
When considering marriage, it doesn't all narrow down to just love. Other factors come to play. While some men prefer to be the sole financial provider, other would want a wife with a successful career.
We all got our different list. What matters is that the person you settle down with ticks atleast 80% of all the boxes.
Personally, im wont encourage anyone to marry another without a degree. I believe theres a decent measure of exposure that comes with education.
Even if she isn't a cert holder, she 'must' be passionate about her schooling and willing to pick it up again.

In a lot of advanced countries, you’re responsible for yourself at the age of 16. People take student loans they pay off themselves. Some work more than one job while still in school. Very few have their parents pay for their education. But in Nigeria, it is a completely different story. People are always looking for others to take up their responsibilities. Let them sponsor themselves in school or learn skills so they can stop feeling inferior and sorry for themselves.

I am yet to see a thread or post of guys discriminating or looking down on non graduates,its just a choice on their part,a spec.
I even love the idea of them going after graduates now,it will motivate ladies to improve on themselves. Its great if we encourage education on the girl child

The reason men always asks for educational level in women is because, school being an organization for which learning takes place has a lot of role it plays in one's life. The way a person who attended a university will see and reason life will be totally different from the way a person who just stopped at SS2 will reason and see life. It is expected that a lady in the university is going through a Ho phase, and once she's done life get to hit her and she realizes that there's more to life than hoeing around. Very few can dictate what the want right in the university.

Lavylilly, there are some sincere men that actually asked this question but not to discriminate girls that did not get adequate education. But to be able to know or guess how old they are. You know females changes a lot from their outwad appearance - if you know what I mean. Most times you see females of 16 or 18 dress, and their physical appearance may look early or late twenties. So, some men use this question to guess their age to know if they are within the age of marriage. Because it would be awkward to just ask a lady her age almost immediately. So, knowing her level of school can give the guy a close guess.

I know of a lady who is not a graduate but she married a graduate but for a very long time she kept hustling creating jobs for herself to sustain herself and the guy. The guy on the other hand; a graduate of engineering, kept searching for engineering jobs, white collar jobs and high profile jobs (as its the mentality of most graduates) and refused to take up any other kind of job outside what he studied or is befitting for his educational status.
Fast forward to ten years later, this guy was still at home, no job, nothing and they now have 4 children. While the woman, In the course of her hustling over the years, carved a niche for herself to a point where she has over 40 schools where she teaches a partime subject and is now raking in millions. She even employed the services of graduates who help her cover some schools and guess what? After another Three years of sitting at home, my guy man applied for a job in the wife's consult. After 13yrs. And for that 13yrs, the woman was the only one catering for the family up to childrens school fees while bro looked on with his cert. But today the woman is now his boss.

Let me even bring it down to you as a person. I believe you're also a graduate, but with all the leverage it has afforded you, are you more successful than Dangote? Is he a graduate too? But he's a billionaire and you are? Abeg make I hear word.

Yes. 90% of them girls in the university are sexually active when compared with those who are not and are in same age bracket.

Reason being they are mostly far from home and out of reach of their guardian. Hence they will want to enjoy what they call "freedom". This is a phase and many do grow out of it whilst others don't. Any girl who is in the university claiming she's a good girl and holy art thou, check her well she's born into the art of whoredom.
