Growing up in the village, i told myself over and over again that having a building in the village is the last thing ill be doing. it is such a waste of investment.

Village is one major places you can get the best morals and get grounded in your distinct culture.

Problem is, it is usually the last resort for those that have failed to amount in their hustle in their respective cities. Many of which are filled with anger at the developed society and it's people.

My point is that sometimes you need to unlearn somethings you learnt as a kid. Not all you hear are actually true. I stay in my village and I've never had any reason to be afraid of anything. Some of the best and most honest people I know are actually in the rural areas.
All the yahoo boys, fake pastors, corrupt politicians, ritualists and the likes don't reside in the villages. Change your mentality..... Visit just once and I bet you visit once every year atleast

my dear, living in the city is grade by grade. the expectation of somebody that lives in maitama is different for somebody that lives in amakohia. both are urban areas but the financial staus of the inhabitants are different. infact an average amakohia resident would envy someone in maitama or ikoyi. so when both go to the village, the one in maitama has more risk than the one in amakohia. not because of money per say but the perceived success of the one in maitama and the need to bring him down. summary unless you are highly educated and very exposed, if you are village dweller you are ticking time bomb. do your research.
