okay met me explain better. the only time I really used new school was when I wanted to read about metals and non metals and their compounds. I used news school here because explained better unlike lamlad that doesn't have time for stories... but when it comes to the calculation aspect of chemistry , just give lamlad a standing ovation ( if you know what I mean) but as regards explanations on metals, non metals and their compounds, new school clearly beat lamlad there... and you know in this particular topic ( metals, non metals and their compounds) you need all the story you can get, because jamb sets question from that topic every year, so I just needed new school to help my ministry in that aspect... but what about you, what textbooks do you use?
Thumb's up. Descriptive Chemistry in lamlad are just points. I used Essential to grab everything esp. Preparation and diagrams

Good morning everyone, I'll like your inputs into this...
I'm currently running an IJMB program and I'm considering schools (preferably ones with the options of writing post utme as well) to choose as I'll be obtaining the D.E form soon, I'd appreciate your insights into this. Course intended to study - MBBS, also the minimum point to obtain.
Thanks

Uniuyo doesn't conduct post utme, it is just screening.
The school fee ranges from 60k - 70k.
If you want to get admitted into Uniuyo MBBS, to be on a safe side score like 310 and above.
It is the school I am aspiring for.

It's at your own RISK oo. If you're caught, you stand the risk of forfeiting both. You don't want to be losing at both ends, do you??.... Just register for one and put all your efforts in that one instead of taking the risk. This jamb registrar is a strong man oo, if you have noticed.

Hello Everyone, Am Genesis.
I Just Recently Took Jamb And I Applied For MBBS In Unical but I Was Not Admitted rather I Was Being Admitted Into A Different Department (Botany).
And Sincerely Speaking I've Been A Bit Depressed Because Some Of My Friends Have Been Admitted And It Pains Me Alot Because I Prepared So Well For The Exams And I Scored Well Too(both Jamb And PUTME).
I was Later Being Told by A Friend That With A CGPA Of 4.5 And Above I'd Easily Work A Transfer To Either MBBS Or BDS....I Don't Know If It's Really Possible.
So Please I Need Positive Advice On This, Cause Me I Was Thinking Of Sitting For Another Jamb.
Moreover I'm 2/4 student In Geology (Unical).
But Am Very Passionate About MBBS.
Positive Advice Would Be Appreciated,,,,No Insults Please

The chances of getting transfer to MBBS are little if not zero. I know of a lady who wanted to study MBBS but unfortunately given Physiology. She accepted with the aim of crossing too. At the end of first year, she got 4.5 and was denied MBBS.

If you really want MBBS, re-sit for Jamb; unless, you will get stucked in Botany.

What were your scores for us to know if they are MBBS/BDS-Worthy?

Moreover, are you an indigine of any of the catchment states of the UNICAL?

Perhaps you try some other place, it mustn't be Calabar. There's the Uniport, NDU and Ambrose Alli.

It's rather too weird for the school to have offered you Botany in lieu of Medicine.

SESARS:
Pls medics in the house I need your candid advice on this matter.
I am considering the following institutions for mbbs DE. I am not sure what to expect in these schools. So, I need guidance to help me make the best decision.

1. UNN: I heard they write post DE examination. The issue is the nature of the exams. Is it purely O level standard or A level? Is there past questions for it? Which textbook is best for it?

2. UDUS: I really want to know if sokoto admits through DE. What's the DE quota like? I sent an email to the school, no response.
cc:
Elzak
ShahRukhKhan

3. UNIJOS: Also want to know how their DE quota is like and the likelihood of being admitted. Is there anything like exam?

5. UNIZIK: What is their modus operandi? Is it monetized like some eastern schools?

6. BUK:

7. UI: I heard Ibadan is largely on merit. What is the nature of their post DE? And the quota? I hope they don't make use of ssce because my ssce is "C" all through.

Pls I need answers to these and opinions as well.
I don't want State unis cos I can't afford them.
Very important: which of these schools accept DE without NYSC.

Thank you for your anticipated response
Udus doesn't accept de for medicine or any other medical course. They accept de for veterinary medicine though.
