Is not a scam he is a Nigerian who works as Australia migrations consultant they have office in Australia
Have run a background check of that address and they are just agent like every other agents, using a residential building with no single review, and also how could you assess without knowing your assessing body and the essential requirements?

I may be wrong. I pray I am. I think you've been scammed big time. I checked the website and found the "agent" Mara number. I search for both the name and number on MARA official website. It came up with nothing. Also, the website look suspicious to begin with. Hope you didn't pay too much for this service.

Tnx alot ExNigerian

ExNigerian:
You can start the assessment right away. But you won’t get any points for experience until you have completed 3 years.

I don't know the actual assessing body my agent used the last time I spoke with him he said once the assessment is out he will give me a call, my agent is base in Australia he hardly pick calls

lol..its even sad that you dont know the assessing body your agent used. Why pay an agent and not get full disclosure or details about the process itself.

I only hope you have not been scammed.

Good evening sir. The attached was what I found out after surfing the site. The question is, which one is suitable for Electrical/Electronics Engineering From a Federal polytechnic.
Thanks

I am sure you can't assess as an Electrical Engineer due to your qualification.

You can check the requirements for others on the TRA and EA website....you should be able to assess any one of them.

Just go with the one with best possible nomination chances.

Hello All.

I have read some pages of this wonderful thread and done some other personal research but I still have some questions please so kindly indulge me

I wish to apply for the 189 Visa stream as an ICT Business Analyst
I am 30,
BEng of Electrical and Computer Engineering (5 years course from FUT Minna - 2012)
Work Experience as IT officer for the last 6years 7 months, asides NYSC experience.
IELTS: 9, 9, 8, 8.
and I am single.

My questions:
1. How long does ACS assessment usually take? (I've seen between 10 to 12 weeks but want to confirm)
2. I noticed that the last draw was for a minimum of 90 points. I calculated my points as 85 (I could be wrong) What can one do now?
3. How long does a skill stay on the occupation list? I wish to apply as an ICT Business Analyst and I'm afraid it could be taken off the list before I am assessed
4. Can one apply for two different Visa streams at the same time?

Thanks

1. As stated on the ACS website.
2. there is no assurance the points will drop. Best to keep all options open for 190 and 491 especially.
3. no one knows. DHA adds or removes as she pleases based on data from the Statistics department on the occupations
4. yes, if you have the funds however it's best to apply for one and withdraw the lesser one.

Please check LinkedIn and Seek to ensure that what you do tally with what an ICT Business Analyst does in Australia. You can check up to 7 profiles/job descriptions.

Good luck

I have some months of work experience before NYSC but I don't know if they would count as there was no payslip and payment was made in cash.
Also, if I were to add NYSC experience, How do I go about the payslip for that? (I only have bank statements to prove it)
FInally, do the streams of 491 and 190 typically take long to get an invitation to apply?

You can include all those years with ACS or mail ACS for clarification cos they tend to remove years from experience.

it all depends on the state. No state is currently nominating ICT Business Analyst for offshore applicants for 491 or 190 except VIC which will send you a pre-invite (when you get such pre-invite cannot be ascertained as ICT occupation is one of the competitive occupations).

For Visa application, either of the two is accepted
For assessment, some assessing bodies insist on Academic only before assessment while some accepts general.

No, WES is Canada.

Assessment is based on your occupation. The assessing body for your occupation will assess your qualification with your experience.

This is one of the reasons why one must leave this country. When did requesting for letter become an issue for sack?
Your colleagues that were sacked, was this really really directly related to the migration enquiries or just a cover up?
God will help us.

You can't avoid listing your company. That could cause a rejection of your application and possible ban for 5 years and above.

To make assessing body not contact your company is dependent on the assessing body and sometimes the document you have submitted. Most of them will contact only the person who issued the reference letter but for DHA, the possibility of contact your reference is almost zero.
Your occupation may not even be verified by DHA at all but in recent times, if or when DHA do verify, they call or email your company's line most likely the numbers or email address on the company's website.

DHA is very unpredictable in that aspect. In my case, my employment verification was sent to my organisation's contact center email address with copies of the reference letter and payslip I submitted, even though the letter was specifically signed by two senior HR business partners. Everyone who has access to the contact center email would have read the email from DHA (lol). It was later forwarded to HR who responded to DHA.
I know few people who DHA sent verification officers to their offices in Lagos, Akure and PH for physical verifications.

My advise for Assesment, get your supervisor to prepare and sign the reference letter on a plain paper with his/her full contact details. For DHA visa application, these ones will decide which method to use for your application.

2. Get payslip, get reference letter. I hope you have employment letter. You may also have to pay the tax or forget the employment details. (this also depends on your assessing body. If its TRA, don't even bother to put such employment details at all if you don't have the required documents.)

3. If what you do does not tally with what you studied (I don't know what a field engineer does in EEDC), you may not get a positive outcome from EA. Case of qualification and aligned experience is per assessing body but for EA in this case, it may not fly.

I am a civil engineer and i have been working for 6 years but I didn't pay taxes. can i submit my bank statement only for EA assessment?

Age is 33
5+ years teaching experience.

Hello everyone,

So I received the following response from ACS on this issue:

The Evidence of employment of the deponent of the statutory Declaration is required – The Offer of employment is not sufficient

Apart from the person's ID card what other evidence can I provide? Note that I had earlier submitted the person's employment offer letter.

Thank you

[quote author=Bodacious1 post=86251778]Hello people,

I received the results of my ACS assessment this morning.

My first employment was assessed as suitable for all the years I worked there; however my second (and current) employment was deemed not assessable (reason - "due to insufficient documentation"). I have worked at my current job for almost seven years so I find this quite worrisome.
