Hi everybody,
I just want to share my recent selling strategy with people so that everybody can learn.
Ever since I lost 2 sales on DAN in December due to payment issue, I thought of it that I could have been losing alot of sales because am using Buy it Now for all my domains on DAN. So I decided to change all my domains from BIN to Make offer.
January this years, I received 9 offers. We negotiated and we agreed on the price, 4 paid up after some days while 5 didn't pay.
DAN came with their usual story that they have contacted the buyers but they weren't responding. I knew fully well that they might be having payment problem. So I told DAN to supply me the name and contact. they supplied me the name and the email addresses. I change the nameservers of the domains to EPIK and contacted the emails DAN gave me.
I told them they can now buy the domain from Epik or Godaddy (Afternic). 4 people paid that day while 1 refused to pay.
The one that happened yesterday made me know that the strategy might be working. I received an inbound offer on one of my domains for $750. I accepted it because I don't want to long thing as its a GEO domain. I expected the buyer to pay almost immediately but she hasn't. So I was waiting for DAN to cancel the offer and give me the contact details so that I can use my latest method. I just received a mail from Afternic that the domain has been sold for $1500.
This means the buyer had difficulty paying $750 on DAN but decided to pay $1500 on afternic.

Wow, congratulations man. More sales ahead!

Thanks for the information, I lost over 5 sales last year ending with Dan, offers but they couldn't Pay.

I even have one domain with many views everymonth with a cheap price no sale.

Now I see the major problem.
Lol. I acquired this name early February (3rd precisely) and it's doing wonders in my portfolio. And this isn't just stats from Dan. Google Analytics show me where traffic is coming from. And one particular visitor keeps coming to visit. I got the name from ED.

Even after he registers, he still has to read this thread.

You people should stop saying, "if you can't read, go and reg for training." The training is just to guide you in the right path. It isn't a shortcut. It isn't the be-all-end-all of domaining. Whether you undergo the training or not, you still have to read. There's no way around it.

This is why that guy has come here ranting. Some of you here had told him if he can't read, he should undergo the training. Now, he's had the mindset that he doesn't have to read, that he just has to quickly do the training and start making money.

If anyone asks where to start, let them know, they have to STUDY this thread too.

If you can't, don't come here to rant later on.

Thanks.

True. ANY DOMAINER THAT HATES READING CANNOT SUCCEED IN THIS BUSINESS.

My gentle nature tends to avoid agruements (my moniker proves that), but at some point even the most loyal dog will bark when disrespected and pushed to the wall.
This whole fault-finding isn't supposed to be. All you needed to do was respect your words- but since you have gone down this path, so be it.

Guy, before making the full payment, I literally begged (as though I wanted a freebie) to be shown me what's working, what do I get over two months after the very very frustrating experience,? Does this in any way tally with what you earlier said

iykepromotions:

I noticed that some newbies here sounding pained and disrespectful are yet to make a sale. Then Re-strategize. Read more even outside this thread or possibly get a mentor, not necessarily me but get a person with PROOF of earnings to avoid wasting of money and time. And then be obedient and ready to learn.

Some comments are better left unanswered. I do that most times when I see your matter is not relevant at all.
@ AYORICH, take note.

Your constant use of the word ungrateful leaves me with questions.

Tranxo, you may have forgotten the last genuine question you once asked me?
tranxo:

When did you discover you had very few leads for the name - before or after you bought it?
Yes , it was the second name I was given. Here it's torquayroofing.com

For goodness sake, would any of you seasoned domainers pick a geo-domain whose populace is less 70,000. Not just that, would you pick a name whose extension isn't preferred by the citizens.
I mean, he clearly said so in his quote
iykepromotions:
Lol. Will this be my first whatsapp sale? The domain competitors is mainly UK based. Contacted one via Whatsapp before buying the domain, main reason as you may know is that they prefer their own extention. But he showed interest and asked me how much? I quickly rushed and registered it, set up a landing page and quoted $1,200, negotiable. According to him, the CEO will be back in two days time to finalize the deal. I hope everything works out fine.

The domain in particular is the same as their's, just extention difference.
Yet in a supposed mentorship class, that was the domain he gave me to register ASAP. The first one he dropped was Tampametalroof.com; but it was picked before I could register it.

After sending my crafted sales mail to over 250 email (one at atime), it took Tranxo's series of deep feedback (which I got for FREE) to my question in here to know that the name was miss. So tell me, should I be for grateful that?

Or should I grateful that in late 2019- October to be precise, you still forwarded notes on "PARKING OF DOMAINS!!" to my box. For goodness sake, I begged to be shown what would give me results- not to be shown outdated info that don't work, or not worth the effort. I had to be schooled on this thread and via other means that parking was dead or worth the effort- thanks coach for teaching me.

Or is it how to type keywords into google search I should thank you for? Oh, thank you.
SO Please, tell me what exactly I should be grateful for?

onwubiko:

My advice is don't make promises you can't keep... he is right to ask for a refund you know, so don't blame him..

You said he should ask for a refund if he doesn't get any results after 32 days.. that was your word.

Give him part of his payment if you can't give all, and try removing that "REFUND" in your website when making a promise.

As usual I don't expect to see anyone supporting the guy on refund smh...
Veteran ni veteran ko

On the 20th december of 2019, after expressing how unexpected my first registered domain experience was during our chats, Iyepromotions, Ikenna Obi, you wrote that you would offer a full refund if I don't get a sale within 32 day of registering 4 geo domains- I DARE YOU TO DENY IT.

I went beyond the 4 domains, I did 5 domains,. I outbounded to over 1000 mails. Well exceeded the 32 days as I wanted even a negotiating response, but got none. So what was my gain? In this tough moment I am currently in, I should throw-away a little over #22,000 without any result.

Regardless of the outcome- despite following your guaranteed instructions, I still take personal responsibility over registering the domains myself. So why can't you as like a leader hold yourself to account and stick to your words like you said in the chat?

tranxo:
E be like say some people think say na magic we dey do here. Okay na. grin grin grin
Easy boss. Don't make light of the super-tremendous value you have offered here.

IeatPussy:

So because you haven't sell any domain after Ur tutorial means that Iykepromotions should refund you for the teachings he took his time. Maybe all of us should go back to our Dear Universities and make them refund us back our school fees and all the expense we did while in school because i'm not even eating with my certificate today.

My school didn't offer me any guarantee when I was offered admission, infact it was a provisional admission. That's the difference.

I feel his pain but in life there are no guarantees so he feels domaining will work out then that’s where perseverance comes in.
If not then quit and look for something else.

My advice tho is to hold the names, learn , buy more and continue reading and investing.

It’s called domain investing not 2 sure odds lol

Boss Iyke the guy na your person so even if not refund, help am register some better names and offer as a form of goodwill...:with more encouragement everything go jell.

@ajog1 and iykepromotions

I think you guys should take things easy.

I have read your comment ajog1 and I know where the problem is coming from.

Iyke, to be fair, you should not be picking names for people to avoid issues like this because we all are not so sure of what will sell. I do not do it because even a good name might take years before they are sold. MKAM.com was sold by AbdulBasit and according to him, it took him 8 years to have it sold.

Your reaction is surprising to me and I will have to ask ajog1 if he insulted you because I know you are cool headed Iyke. So seeing you respond like this means something must have gone behind the scene.

But you should also consider the fact that the country is hard and not everybody has money to play around before hitting it. I know how many request I have received in the past from people begging me to teach them domaining with last money in the bank or they want to sell their belongings to start domaining. I always discourage them because I know they may not get the result they want. It is same reason why I do not tutor domaining.

In fact, I will rather teach you importation (full package if you can afford it) than domaining because I know you will surely get your money back if you follow laid down process but domaining is not same. It takes a lot to pull some successes with domaining.

With 100k naira, you can make 5k-20k profit per product on importation as a newbie (though very stressful and demanding but highly rewarding with the right product) than you would with domaining as a newbie. when you add silence that characterise outbound domain names, you can see it can be very frustrating and heart-wrenching.

I do not know how much is involved but if you can make a refund, please do it and trust me, doors may open for you. LAST Year, refunds I made across verticals of businesses I did could be heart breaking but because I know what it feels like to spend money and not being happy at the end of the day, I had to refund people. It should be close to 400 or 500k. I agreed to refund if they are not happy and I kept my promise when they requested. But what God blessed me with close to end of the year is 1000% more than that.

If you can refund, please do it.
