gunships (military combat helicopters) don't come with ejection seats. I suppose only fighter jets and some bombers are equipped with such safety mechanism for the pilot.

When Trump pulled out his troops from Syria, everyone was up in arms and anger.

Why put them in harms way between a Syrian army that loathes them, and rebels who can turn against them any second(cue Isis)...with mounting pressure from turkey who are trying to avoid a full blown humanitarian crisis from syrian refugees.
