Iyke, to be fair, you should not be picking names for people to avoid issues like this because we all are not so sure of what will sell. I do not do it because even a good name might take years before they are sold. MKAM.com was sold by AbdulBasit and according to him, it took him 8 years to have it sold.

Your reaction is surprising to me and I will have to ask ajog1 if he insulted you because I know you are cool headed Iyke. So seeing you respond like this means something must have gone behind the scene.

But you should also consider the fact that the country is hard and not everybody has money to play around before hitting it. I know how many request I have received in the past from people begging me to teach them domaining with last money in the bank or they want to sell their belongings to start domaining. I always discourage them because I know they may not get the result they want. It is same reason why I do not tutor domaining.

In fact, I will rather teach you importation (full package if you can afford it) than domaining because I know you will surely get your money back if you follow laid down process but domaining is not same. It takes a lot to pull some successes with domaining.

With 100k naira, you can make 5k-20k profit per product on importation as a newbie (though very stressful and demanding but highly rewarding with the right product) than you would with domaining as a newbie. when you add silence that characterise outbound domain names, you can see it can be very frustrating and heart-wrenching.

I do not know how much is involved but if you can make a refund, please do it and trust me, doors may open for you. LAST Year, refunds I made across verticals of businesses I did could be heart breaking but because I know what it feels like to spend money and not being happy at the end of the day, I had to refund people. It should be close to 400 or 500k. I agreed to refund if they are not happy and I kept my promise when they requested. But what God blessed me with close to end of the year is 1000% more than that.

If you can refund, please do it.

In my own case, i joined iyke class 1stOct2019 but after making 3 sales. After his class he recommended 2 names which i registered (till today I'm holding them), after the class, it took me 40days to see a sale, so u see, i had the right to seek for refund after 32days which i didn't.
But then mind u, because i had enough to spare then 4 the registration and because I've made sales and knew domaining works, I kept hope and patience. Ending Nov, boom, those Godaddy sales, tru December, Godaddy was my grace area, in January 2020 alone I've made 12sales, feb 1st opened with a sale.
So the point is @ajog1 I don't know how frustrated you are, i don't know how much u have spent, i don't know your position right now, but I'll advice you exercise patients. Some here made a 1st sale over a year trying, but after that, sales started to come at a more favourable interval.
So I'll advice u keep on hope and have patience, God's willing, u will smile very very sooon!

Not everybody is financially okay.

See my first domain sale came from a gift a friend financially gave me. It was gamble because that was all I had...10K as I had just finished school project and returned home the same week he gave me the money. So If that gamble had not paid off, I probably would be frustrated.

However, what helped me was that I had been reading namepros domain sales report thread for close to 3 months or more prior to that. which means, I was somewhat knowledgeable to an extent as I had ask a lot of questions within that window.

The mistake people make is that they are quick to run off registering domains. I know we all need money and we need it fast but failure often happens because of lack of fundamental understanding of what we plan to do.

What was the waiting period before inbound offer started coming in?

I have mixture of GEOs, brandables and EMDs but have stopped buying GEOs since late last year as I am occupied with other things. Outbounding is my greatest nightmare in domaining. In fact, I have not done outbound on over 70% of my GEO domains.
All my domains are from expired domains.
The waiting periods are not the same for all the domains. The one I just sold today will be 60 days by 15th of this month.

Yes. Its not compulsory you use afternic nameservers before selling there. All my domains are listed on Afternic but am not using their nameservers

you would get your code by 14th besides be ready to wait till forever because afternic are just too self-centered, my buyer agreed at the early stage of registration that she would get an account with 123-reg which she did but Afternic declined request for a push within! Rather than paying you as soon as domain hits their account at GoDaddy they will still hold your funds till buyer pays the transfer fee at GoDaddy after exorbitant commissions.

One week since my transfer to them completed still not scheduled for release of funds, if not for the trust with Americans, I wouldn't advise my enemies to sell there.

I cannot insult people, both small or old- not in my nature and upbringing. Can't even jovially yab someone sef. Since my stay on this forum, I can't remember all the kind of words I have thrown around here, but I have never used an insulting word.

After over 60 days of not seeing even a response to show that one is making progress, was I not patient to some extent?

The iss I have with you and the likes who are quite to mete out judgement is that you are all pushing me to go further down the path of fault-finding; which isn't neccessary. He should just show refund me... If only he added the previous dissing comments he made, then you'd have seen why I asked for the refund.
