The Kombi or Half-Panel Model: This one can convey more passengers because it's with additional windows between the b and c-pillars; 2 rows of seats. It's also good for logistics especially when more people will have to accompany the goods being transported.

Ok. Well GIGM has the best buses on road in Nigeria for now

Customer service? Yes
Packaging? Yes
Best buses? Nah

Their Mercedes Sprinters are old. Their Hiace buses are old. They now use China buses. There's nothing "best" about their fleet. I don't think they have this new Hiace bus sef

GUO is still king over them

The Caravelle, Multivan Models: with windows all round; 3 rows of seats, this is perfect for passengers transportation. You can use this for cargo logistics also by removing all the seats. For conveying people, this bus has the capability to carry minimum 12 passengers.

OP this one you only talked about sienna. Hope you didn't just come and advertised your products?

Anyway, I'm thinking on getting a 2000 Volkswagen Sharan, 2003-up Honda Civic or Camry 2002/2003 models.

Kindly share your experience.

NB: My budget is just N500k.
And either e-hailing or normal cab.

Thanks.
Sorry for the delays in adding more cars/buses. I wanted us to talk very well on number one first before proceeding to the next. But since I see we are ok with all the list at once I will post them. Check the thread, I have posted number 2 bus/car you can buy.

Plz go for VW Sharan. Registered good car for those models you're aiming for is from 800k up, unless you are ready to fix somethings on the car after purchase.

3. The Volkswagen Sharan First Generation.(1995-2010): the name Sharan is a Persian word meaning "Carrier of Kings". VW Sharan is a joint technology between Volkswagen and Ford motors. It was designed to give smooth drives and capability to convey more passengers. This car is very good for Nigerian roads and market owning o the fact that it's very strong, cheaper spare parts, excellent fuel economy, very durable engine and manual transmission, easy to drive, etc.
You will enjoy it Models with manual transmissions very well. The auto transmission models are also excellent if you can take good care of it and avoid hitting it on bumps too often.

Toyota Corolla:
Hmmn, this car is one of the top most reliable car in Nigeria. I won't say much about this brand of Toyota because it already spoke for itself. This one is good for UBER, Taxify and
intra-city/inter-city private taxi business. You can create relationship with people and build clientele base for your business. But it's best you get tokunbor or very sound registered one for your business.

4. Toyota Hiace Bus:
Owning to the fact that most Intercity transit buses are getting very bad and out dated I will suggest both new and older models of Hiace buses. Pictures would speak better here. This bus is super reliable, the only issue with most Hiace buses are it's cooling system, the AC for those going for long distances road transports business. The moment it's start any issue, be ready to keep spending almost every month. But if you can do without the AC, I bet you're in for sweet experience with Toyota Hiace. This bus is also very excellent for school bus, staff bus or association bus.

Pls kindly clarify, l heard manual cars are better used for transportation than the automatic cars.
Manual is indeed better. The way we overload vehicles here, the automatic transmission can easily burn out. The manual transmission can last a lot more because you get the option of selecting the correct gear at all times. Especially if you have to negotiate long uphill stretches of road at full weight. Not all autos can detect that you are on a hill. They tend to downshift inadequately, and the transmission can give out. No such problem with the manual.

5. Toyota Avensis Verso mini Bus:
This car is another monster on Nigeria roads. Though many people are not too aware of it's ruggedness for transportation biz.
If your aim is to use your bus for people and cargo this is a very option. The comfort this ride give you as the driver and your passengers is close to luxurious one, believe me, the ride at average speed is super smooth. Your best bet is to get it's manual transmission version. Toyota Avensis Verso mini Bus is very versatile can also serve you as family's mini van for you.

7. Nissan Caravan Bus and Nissan Urvan Bus:

This bus is wow, my best advice is to get a 2001 or 2002 tokunbor one for a start if you don't have the millions of naira for latest models.
This bus is not only very reliable but very efficient in terms of fuel economy and performance. Nissan Caravan and Nissan Urvan buses are very good for inter state, international and inter city and intra- city model of transport business. Anyone you choose to do, the Nissan Caravan Bus will not let you down you can use this car for almost another ten years without regrets. It's easier to repair, spare parts are all over the markets in Nigeria.
Take a look at it here

Re: Best Cars For Transportation Business In Nigeria by Motorways: 3:54pm On Feb 13, 2020
You can get this one for logistics business:
With this you can supply companies, service vendors, help traders to transport goods, if you plan yourself well this can fetch you over N350k per month. Buy it, brand it, market your mini haulage business to major companies, super stores, you can even buy it for your business for convenience anytime you need to move products or goods. One good thing about these older model cars are that these were designed for top performance, reliability, and better fuel economy. The later models are designed to fetch money for auto companies who make spare part, but if you have a taste for class, go for latest models. But for a starter, it's better to start small.

8. IVM Uzo 4 and IVM 5000b
Uzo 4 is affordable for a start, it's below N2m.

IVM 5000 is very good and reliable from the experiences of Nigerian IVM has never disappoint us and so this indigenous auto manufacturing company is speedily walking it ways up into the heart of Nigerian and African auto market.

Toyota Picnic is also very good and affordable. It has 4 plug Engine which is very good for intra state grooving.

The only reason I will choose Sienna over Picnic is because of its 6-plugs big engine. God punish poverty, some people hate 6-plug Vehicles for it's fuel consumption.

You will enjoy Sienna mostly for interstate trips.

9. Toyota Camry 1999 and Camry 2000 &2001: these cars are so good that we have given them nick names we call the Camry 1999 tiny-light, and the 2000-2001 models are called drop-light or pencil-light.
These Toyota brand fit perfectly for any model of transport business you wanna go into. They are very very good for bad roads. The engine and transmission systems of this model of Toyota car is very reliable and cheap to service and maintain, infact I'm yet to see any Toyota engine that can tolerate nonsense like these model. It's spare parts are cheap and readily available in any State in Nigeria
This cars can serve for taxi for both intra-city and inter-city.
Used Camry 1999-2001 is N400k-850k, tokunbor ones go for N1.3m to 1.6m.
It has a potential of fetching you minimum N80k pure profit per month after maintenance and feedings. If you have any of these asset in Abuja, Lagos, Ibadan, Kano, Onitsha, Benin and their suburbans you should live a comfortable live, unless you are not a good thinker.

Guys the era we are living in Nigeria now is different from the ones we were living in the last two decades. Forgot white collar jobs where you are being paid peanut unless your vision and purpose in life is in that direction. Get your collar dirty guys, raise legitimate money for your business or for your vision. I have seen a danfo driver in Lagos, (this guy owns only 4 buses) living comfortable life, has good cars, build houses, sponsor immediate family members and extended family members in schools. Why are our youth returning to money rituals and yahoo-yahoo? Think very well, the solution is within you.
