CHAPTER FOURTEEN
Chief Uzoma had already set out with his sons to the palace when they saw people riding on horses towards the palace; they all rode past Chief Uzoma but one slowed down
“Chief Uzoma have you not heard?” Okoye said
“Heard what?”
“The king wants everyone in the palace now because an execution is about to take place” he said then rode off
“An execution?” he said...

The news had spread round the village, everyone hurrying to the palace; Nnenna running to the river to get some water at her mother’s instruction before going to the palace. She hurried to the stream, filled her clay pot and started hurrying back home
“Hey!” a male voice startles her, out of reflex she dropped the clay pot and it broke to pieces
“I am so sorry” he said coming out of the bush with two men
“Who are you> stay away from me or I will scream” she threatened with fear
“I’m not going to hurt you okay? I’m sorry... my name is Scott”
“Scott? What kind of name is that?” she said; he stared at her as he admired her beauty
“Forget about my name... I saw people rushing... what’s going on?” he asked
“The king summoned everyone to the palace because an execution is about to take place”
“execution? Can you take me there?” he said and she remained silent
“Please I am looking for someone”
“Who is that?” she asked
“You don’t know him” he said
“There is no one I do not know” she said
“His name is Ikenna”
“Ikenna>? He’s my friend” she said with a little excitement
“Oh really?” Scott said
“Yes and I have a feeling he is the one about to be executed” she said
“More reason why you need to stop talking and take us to him” Robert said
“I know a short cut” she said...

The environment was full of people; a high platform had been arranged and a rope was prepared and hanging in front of Ikenna; archers were in position so as to fire arrows at him when he has been hanged. The king sat on a special throne prepared a few distance away from the platform of execution; four guards stood behind Ikenna whose hands had been tied to his back.
Ozil had sent three men into the King’s room to search for any corpse that was hidden; all the wives of the king stood behind him in beautiful gowns; one of the chiefs then spoke from the platform
“Today we execute a criminal” he said loudly as everyone listened in silence; an interpreter interpreted for those who didn’t understand english
“A man who killed people of this land and has come to kill your king” murmuring filled the air
“Silence!” he said and they obeyed
“This man is a spy and was caught by the king’s strongest men when he was seeking entrance into the king’s abode but today we will execute him”
“Do you have last words” the chief said; Ikenna was a little surprised; the king smiled
“Last words? I thought you were just going to hang me and fire arrows... anyway I do have last words to the people of this land” he said and there was silence
“You all live in poverty and suffering while your king lives in wealth and riches” Ikenna said but the interpreter went silent as he looked at Ikenna with surprise
“Tell them what I said motherfucker!” Ikenna said loudly; the king’s smile disappeared; the interpreter interpreted what Ikenna said and everyone began looking at themselves
“He takes your beautiful daughters and makes them his” he said and the interpreter interpreted slowly with fear of the king
“Your king feeds on human blood and meat and he has a factory where he slaughters people for food”
“I am sorry I cannot say that” the interpreter said and suddenly somebody from the crowd did the interpreting; Ikenna looked to see Chief Uzoma then he smiled; the king’s face changed as the people exclaimed loudly
“All the meat you have been eating are human meat, (interpret) they are meats of your brothers and sisters, the flesh of missing people your king kidnapped (interpret)... and he is planning to come take more of your daughters and wives and if they resist... (Ikenna paused then looked at the king) he will rape them to death”
“Aru!!! Abomination!!!” somebody shouted and they place became noisy; Chief Uzoma climbed up the platform
“Listen to me my people” he drew their attention
“We are tired of suffering”
“Yes” the people affirmed
“Our king lives in wealth... look at how fat he is and how thin we are, look at his beautiful garments and look at our rags... enough is enough... King Ugonna must leave”
“Yes!!!” the shouted
“Silence!” the king ordered and there was silence; he got up from his seat
“How dare you raise your voice to accuse me?” he spoke with range
“Kill him!!!” he shouted; one of the guards made attempt to shoot an arrow but his head got shattered by a bullet from nowhere, people screamed and began to panic
“What happened” the king said looking around and then another bullet shattered the head of another guard; everyone scattered and everywhere became noisy and disorganised; the king’s wives pull out knives and began stabbing the guards, the villagers began attacking the king’s guards; there was chaos in seconds. Ikenna quickly walked down the platform with hands tied to his back; Ozil walked to him and cut off the ropes with a knife
“Who fired the shot?” Ikenna asked Ozil
“I do not know” Ozil replied; they both spotted the king heading towards the mansion
“We cannot let him escape” Ikenna said and they both went after the king... they both passed through the midst of the fight; one guard attacked Ikenna with a knife but got overpowered as Ikenna launched a punch to his neck and knee to his face and he passed out...

Nnenna blocked her ears from the sound of the gun
“What is that thing” she looked terrified; Scott looked at her as he cocked the sniper
“Never seen a gun before?” he said then aimed again and fired, the sound shook her lightly
“A gun? Is that what you call it? It sounds like thunder” she said
“We have to get down there” Scott said to Robert and Wale
“Thanks... you can go home” Scott said to Nnenna
“No way! I am coming with you” she said
“Its too dangerous down there” he said
“I don’t care” she said with folded arms; she was a beauty and he saw it
“Ok then, lets move” he said and she smiled; her smile was too attractive with dimples

Ikenna entered the throne room with Ozil, far ahead they see the king seated on the throne
“I will drink your blood” the king said loudly
“There is something about that throne” Ikenna said to Ozil; Chief Uzoma entered the throne room
“Chief Uzoma, you betrayed me” the king said
“You have been a terrible king and selfish being... I can not count how many you have punished with death for minor offences” Chief Uzoma said, the king smiled
“I will kill you last” he said to Chief Uzoma; some of the villagers began entering the throne room with machetes; the king got up and walked down as the villagers began running towards him and began attacking him but all the attacks were useless, he punched and fought them
“This man is powerful” Chief Uzoma said with fear in his eyes
“I need to break that throne” Ikenna said
“I’ll be back” Ozil said and ran off then returned with a sledge hammer and was about to break the throne made of tiles
“Wait” Ikenna said
“Let Chief Uzoma do it” Ikenna said; Uzoma collected the hammer and smashed the throne twice and a bright green light shined out forcefully with a soft wind; a large sack is revealed
“NO!!!” the king shouted as he ran to the throne; getting close Ikenna kicked him in the face and he crashed to the floor; the people began hitting him with sticks and objects and he bled this time
“Wait... don’t kill him” Ikenna said
“Behold the abomination of King Ugonna” Chief Uzoma said as he pulled out the stinking sack; a rotten corpse fell out, and the people screamed
“This is the source of your power” Chief Uzoma said; the people blocked their noses from the smell except Ikenna who stared at the corpse
“He must be killed” a villager shouted
“Yes!” other agreed
“Take him and do as you please” Ozil said; the people dragged him away with rejoicing as he shouted
“It’s not over yet” Ozil said looking at the people as they dragged the king away
“What is left?” Ikenna asked

Scott and his men got into the fight; everywhere was full of bodies, blood everywhere; Nnenna clinked to Scott with fear of getting harmed
“See why I told you to stay back”
“I’m not afraid, I’m just being careful” she said, he looked at her and smiled
“Stay with these men I will be back” Scott said
“Where are you going” she asked
“I’m going inside... stay with them” he said and ran off; Robert and Wale kept shooting

Scott entered the throne room with a sniper on his shoulder; Ikenna sighted him in the distance
“Scott?!” Ikenna walked to him
“Agent... how is it going down here? Looks like you forgot your toys” Scott said
“How the hell did you get here?” Ikenna asked
“Met this beautiful spirit girl”
“(smiles) Lillian” Ikenna said; Ozil walked to them
“This is Agent Chamberlain” Ikenna said and Scott shook hands with him
“We have to get to the basement” Ozil said
“Any party there?” Scott asked
“There are some executives in there” Ozil said
“Let’s get their asses arrested” Scott said and they moved

CHAPTER FIFTEEN
The basement was sound proved, so anything going on down there can not be heard outside. Ikenna, Scott and Ozil approached the basement
“There are armed guards down there” Ozil said; Scott handed Ikenna and Ozil hand guns
“Let’s take them all out” Scott said and they entered the basement, they spot two police men coming, they gunned them down immediately; Ozil took one of the ak47 with the dead police man. They suddenly encounter four men with ak47 who opened fire on them and they quickly go into hiding before opening fire and killing the men; they moved forward and found four men standing in front of a large double door with guns; the door appeared to be some decorated steel door
“I believe out targets are behind that door” Ikenna said; they fired at the men then walked to the door; three of them march the door open forcefully but then a sudden explosion sends all of them back crashing to the ground and they passed out...

Ikenna opened his eyes, everything was blur; he was tied to a chair, he shook his head and felt a strong pain in his head, he felt something moving down his ear to his jaw, he cleaned it with his shoulder then looked at his shoulder to see blood
“Oh shit” he said as he raised his face to look at the persons before him but they were all blur and slowly it became clearer and he was surprised to see somebody he knew
“General?” he said
“Agent Ikenna” General Jide replied; Ikenna looked around to see Scott tied beside him and his head lowered and to his left was Agent Chamberlain too
“What are you doing here? What is going on?” he asked but the general was silent; Ikenna saw two white men with him and two black men then from a dark door in front of him came a white men; one of his eyes had a scare and was white while the other eye was normal; suddenly flames engulfed the hand of the white man, leaving Ikenna in surprise
“Is that fire coming from his hand or am I seeing things” Scott said beside Ikenna
“If you are seeing things then I am seeing things too bro” Ikenna said
“Guess we are all seeing things” Ozil said
The white man looked at the flame in his hand then looked at them
“General what are you doing here?” Scott asked
“You should have stayed out of this” General said to Scott
“So you have been aware of all the missing persons all this while” Ikenna said
“Yes... and I needed you to go missing too” general said
“I knew it... I said it” Ikenna said
“Why are you doing this” Scott asked
“The money... they power” General Jide said
“You are an animal” Ikenna said
“You’re slaughtering your fellow country men for money and power? This is the highest form of evil” Ikenna said
“Shut up! You know nothing... I knew the CIA would still pick you for this mission so that’s why I chose you quickly so I can end you in that village but it appears you made it beyond my expectation... you are really an elite agent” General Jide said
“I am going to kill you when I get free from here” Ikenna said
“This is your last stop Agent” a white man said; all the while, the white man with the flame had been silent ; Ikenna looked at him
“Men do not interfere in the affairs of the gods” he finally said while looking at the flame in his hand
“(chuckles) you are no god?... you are just a man consumed by powers beyond his control” Ikenna said
“You should be afraid of what I am about to do to you” he said
“Fear is a choice... and I choose not to” Ikenna said; the flames in his hand suddenly began burning brighter and suddenly turned black flames
“What the hell is that” Ikenna said, the white man smiled
“The Chaos” he said then unleashed the black flames on Ikenna
“Nooo!!!” Scott shouted; suddenly a bright light shined in front of Ikenna and began absorbing the black flame to the surprise of everyone; luckily the flame didn’t touch Ikenna else he’d be dead. The white man stopped with surprise on his face as the white light shined brighter then came into human form and appeared as a woman revealed to be Lillian
“How did you...” the white man couldn’t complete
“You have no right to harm him” she said then unleashed light energy on the white man; the ropes in the hands of Ikenna and co loosed and they grabbed their guns and held the other hostage; Lillian stopped attacking then looked at Ikenna who was stunned
“Who are you?” he asked, she smiled and disappeared; the white man appeared to be weak as he stayed on the ground with one knee touching the ground
“Agent you have no idea what you just started... you adventure has just began” he said then disappeared; they arrested all the others and took them away.

The people had beaten the king with sticks and stones till he died then burnt his body
“There is a major road out of this place” Ozil said
“Really?” Ikenna said
“yes but it leads to Port Harcourt” he said
“Oh I see”
“I will make communications for reinforcement so that all those at the factory will be arrested” Ozil said
“Thank you” Ikenna said and shook hands with him...


“Your land is now a better place... we will be calling in more soldiers to coming in here and pick up all those at the human factory” Ikenna explained to the people who were still alive, he then looked at Uzoma
“You have all fought a good fight for your land... and in the absence of your evil king a new one will emerge and the only chief who did not compromise and is fit to be king is... Chief Uzoma” the people cheered
“There is a government out there and I will make sure they hear about you people and come make your lives a better place” Ikenna said and they cheered...


Scott stood watching Ikenna talk when Nnenna walked to him
“Hello” he said to her
“Scott right?” she said
“Yeah” he replied she looked down to the ground
“I guess you are going back to your world” she said
“Yes I am” he said
“Okay” she remained silent; Scott knew what she was thinking, he looked at her and smiled, she smiled and looked away from him
“I can come back and take you to see my world” he said
“Really?” she looked excited
“Yeah... I will come back” he said and she smiled...


Everywhere littered with bodies; Ikenna walked about looking for Oluchi
“Ikenna!” she called out to him, walked up to him and hugged him
“So what now” she asked
“We are taking Lillian’s body back with us... Ozil and Scott will get reinforcement to clear up the remaining dirt” he explained; Ozil walked up to him
“Hey” Ozil said
“Hey... thanks a lot” Ikenna said
“You are welcome” he said
“By the way how did you get into this” Ikenna asked
“(Smiles) my sister got missing and all investigation landed here... I discovered he raped her to death... I needed revenge” he said
“I’m really sorry about that” Ikenna said
“It’s over now” he smiled
“Yeah it is” Ikenna smiled
“I have to go” he said and they shook hands and parted
“Agent” Scott called as he walked close; he sees Oluchi then smiled
“Now I see why you went range mode in here” Scott said looking at Oluchi who was gorgeous
“Bleep off man” Ikenna said laughing
“By the way, it was two weeks out there and your spirit girlfriend was worried” Scott said
“Two what?”
“Yeah... I don’t even know how many weeks gone now”
“It’s barely two days here” Oluchi said
“Quite weird”...

BACK AT THE VILLAGE
“It’s been three weeks” Lillian said then hugged him
“It was worse than I thought” he said
“Thank god it’s over” he said
“Actually... there is still one more person to kill” she said
“Oh God not again” he said, she smiled
“The chief priest” she said
“Ok I will go do it for you” he said then walked away...

Ikenna found his way to the chief priest as directed by Lillian
“I know you are out there” the Chief priest said
“So why not come out and say hello” Ikenna replied
“Your gun is useless” he said
“The elders said so and lost their lives to my toys”
“Why don’t you come in and have some kola nut” he said to Ikenna
“No? How about you come out and look at my gun and see how useless it is” Ikenna cocked the gun and there was silence; Ikenna got tired of waiting so he walked towards the entrance but an explosion sent him back rolling on the leafy ground
“Auch2 he got up slowly, the priest appeared in front of him and punched him on the stomach and before Ikenna could return the blow he vanished and appeared behind Ikenna, Ikenna turned around but is thrown away by a magical force that slammed his back against a tree, he felt intense pain as he fell to the ground; as he tried getting up the priest grabbed him by the neck and holds him to the tree; he was careless and didn’t notice Ikenna pulled out a knife and then stabbed him on the stomach
“Arrgh!!” he screamed out with surprise on his face as he lets go of Ikenna
“How... is... this.... possible”
“I love silver wares” Ikenna said then winked at him and stabbed him under the jaw then pushed his body to the ground dead...


Ikenna came out the forest all stained in blood and holding something in his hand that dripped with blood; he walked towards Lillian
“I thought you’d like a little extra so I got you his heart” Ikenna said and she laughed
“You are so sweet” she hugged him...


Ikenna and Oluchi walked into a bush with a sack, he put the sack on the ground and collected petrol from Oluchi
“I guess it’s time for me to go” Lillian said from behind them, they turned to see her
“Lillian” Oluchi smiled
“Can I touch you” she asked Lillian
“Yes” Lillian said then held Oluchi’s hand then hugged her
“I love you” Lillian said
“I love you too” they separated
“I... I don’t even know what to say” Ikenna said, she smiled then walked close to him and hugged him then kissed his cheek
“I wish we met in a better way” he said
“(smiles) You know, the day I was to be born, there was a heavy rain with thunder storm and when I was born it all suddenly stopped... the rain and its storm... I was special... but I manifested too early... I should have waited... no matter our gifted a man is, some things just take time... I failed to see that (tears rolled down Oluchi’s eyes) I lost my life because I was too eager to be who the prophecy said I would be... I forgot that even Jesus had to wait till he was 30... but in the end, the little time I spent with both of you will never be forgotten in a million years” Oluchi busted into tears; Ikenna was moved
“You will always be in our hearts” Ikenna said as he held Oluchi close
“Where ever I am... I will love you both and will always be with you” Lillian said; Ikenna poured the petrol on the sack then lighted it up and the flames burnt intensely
“Goodbye” she said holding Oluchi’s hand then vanished like evaporation into the sky, leaving Oluchi holding on to nothing; Ikenna knew she was gone forever; Oluchi cried as she and Ikenna left the bushes while the flames sent dark smoke into the evening sky...

Agent Ikenna will return...
