I am beginning to think that this government will one day call boko haram to negotiating table in the name of ending the war for peace to reign. This negotiation will lead to sharing the government key position with them to achieve their Islamisation agenda.

So agree with you, I've always known right from the days of Sharia law introduction. This has always been the aim of the northern elite. Their agenda is to continually feast on the resources of this country and infiltrate other region with their foot soldiers, making us feel we are one Nigeria.
It's high time we begin to prepare ourselves for their massive invasion of war.

Honestly i am speechless. The blood of the dead do not forgive the silence of the living. The war on insurgency can be brought to an end in 2 months at most if not in 1 day. I have said this many times in my thread and blog post, these guys are not as sophisticated as they claim and as the media paint them. Nigeria is too big for this rag tag men. However they might get all sort of support or efforts from internal and external source for its onslaught on the Nigerian territory. Nobody dears challenge the power of the government or the sovereign might of the military. I must say again that the government has really been too weak and too poor in its fight against insurgency and insecurity issue In Nigeria. The rate at which military die at the battle theater needlessly and the rate at which civilians are slain is alarming. In a 21st century age and tech age like ours, a campaign on insurgency like this is not supposed to last 2 months to nip it in the bud. It would be unnecessary and wasteful for the government to fire a bullet or a gun shot to smoke out these radicals and lawless element. I dont want to use the word wasteful but i must say the government procurement of exotic and sophisticated fighter jet to smoke out these guys is needless. I believe we have millions of security experts around the world and amongst Nigerian retired and active military service chief who know exactly the magnitude of what am talking about and its most preferred solution that could end this war in less than 2 months if not in 1 day. Government do not need to waste a single bullet shot to finish up this guys at all. Modern warfare is no longer about fire power, but brain power, our intelligent institutions, chiefs and personnel need to really wake up. Government needs to revamp our seemingly lame military apratuse and invest heavily on science, technology and medical and also invest heavily on weapon patency and inventions. May God grant use the needed wisdom and open our eyes to the danger of going to other nations and world power to beg for weapons with our money at hand to procure weapons needed to fight or end insurgency. Its really a show of military shame in this our modern tech age. Africa truly needs to wake up to see the truth. Imagine if the innocent civilians beign killed were your parents, siblings, brothers & risters, wife or husband, honestly you would agree that blood of the dead do not forgive the silence of the living.

One of the easiest way to limit them, their activities and recruitment is this SIM card directive.

It will seriously expose their members and make it easier to track them.

Shekau knows this and this is why the alarm cry from him and death threat.

Already all who know Pantami have come out on Twitter to dare Boko Haram to do their worst on him and even Pantami has sworn that the policy would be implemented and no threats to his life would stop it.

Northerners are dying too and they also want to do everything to stop them.

This would also affect kidnappers, bandits and especially terrorists in any name

Illegal immigrants don't have SSN but they have phones. Can you explain how?

You called them illegal and this is why it is hard for them to get jobs or social security of any form from the government. In a nutshell they are not part of the system and this easily exposes them

"In USA for example any number you own is linked to your SSN"

My post was to show you how that's a lie. You don't need SSN to get a phone in the US.
My parents have US numbers but they don't have SSN.

You can literally buy a prepaid SIM card from Amazon.

So I ask again, which advanced countries limit the number of SIM a person can buy?

I can tell you for a fact that you can buy SIM cards in the US, UK, Canada and Hong Kong with cash and not do any registration.

With documentation or not? I lived and studied in East London and getting a T-Mobile or Vodafone one had to provide proof of identity unlike here where you need not provide more than word of mouth.

Without documentation. Go to any corner store and ask a Lebara or Lyca sim and you will get it with no questions asked.
Your T-Mobile/Vodafone was most likely not pay as you go.

You are clearly confused.

The moment I mentioned SSN you should know I was talking about bonafide citizens and not illegals.

Nobody is disputing that you can buy prepaid Sims in USA. However as an illegal you would stick out like a sore thumb and this is why everything is documented.

Overstay your visa and ICE goes after you. If ICE misses you, you would most likely be unable to get a job or if you do it would be for.peanuts. You cannot receive money unless you enlist the help of a citizen otherwise your name would be captured in the system because you require ID.

You clearly lost yourself in this talk because I never said it was impossible to get a Sim in USA. I simply pointed out what happens with those who are citizens because you either pay through your bank account or your credit card and every one of those transactions go into the system.

TUANKU:

Ok, is 3 SIM cards a bad policy? These are things that are done in advanced countries too. You don't just wake up and change sim card like it kpyoko.

All these advanced countries we refer to in everything and at every time is begining to tire me.

Is Nigeria advanced yet?

The Sim that when I want to retrieve, they won't even look at everything about me that has been linked to the Sim but still ask for the last calls I made with my great grand fathers and other plenty things. And if I can't provide them, then I loose the Sim/line. I've lost a precious Sim to that before.

The same way we'll say advanced countries taxes are the highest and that of Nigeria is the lowest and today, I pay tax up to every single time I make call even after I buy common water(not just one type) by myself and trek miles. Don't forget this doesn't exclude the jobless.

So when we want to compare what advanced countries do and don't, let not look at one side of the coin. If the same government that will restrict me to three Sim will do the policy in such a way that if a Sim is lost, merely seeing my face physically requesting for swap/retrieval will grant it to me without any other unnecessary documents(Including the ones even the government itself don't allow it citizens to get easily), then the policy might be fine.

Moreso, why must I queue on government things every year? The queue of last year on voters card collection is still in my body. Can't they find a better way to link my whatever they want without requesting for my physical presence. Also, in as much as anyone links every single Sim s/he has with government's approved database, I don't think anyone should be restricted to three Sim.

Just a personal opinion anyway and apologies I'm expressing it through your comment @tianku.
