You wanna play national politics? You have to be smart. Ipob with Nnamdi KANU has insulted virtually all tribes in the country. They have been very vocal in their insults. The best obi would have done is to avoid the burial and send message across on a low.

Imagine obi eventually getting the PDP ticket in 2023. All APC need to do is to just display or distribute his picture with ipob to northerners and westerners.

He should learn to play smart.
No. we don't want to play national politics. We want Biafra. You can go and die if you like.

This is politics and especially Nigerian politics, you and I would understand this as just attending a burial but what of others especially northerners who when shown this picture during campaign would interpret it as something else.

Remember that Hero beer was used against him in the last election because of the rising sun logo on it.

Then they should keep their presidency must u call a cow uncle or brother because u want to eat cow meat? Who president even epp?

Thank goodness you understand my post. I honestly think it will be foolish for anyone not to sympathize with the dead, but for someone that want to play national politics, smartness is key.

The votes PDP got in the North was for Atiku, not Obi. Nobody cares about vice-president in the North, they care about the president. GEJ's case was that he was leader of the ruling party of the time.

You dont seem to understand, there is no bridge to burn. There was never any bridge in the first place. Northerners will never vote an Igbo man into power no matter who that Igbo man is. Do you know why?

1) Most Igbos are Christians and most Northerners are muslims. The Koran does not encourage muslims to be ruled by non muslims. Just for being a Christian, Obi has lost much of the votes of the North

2) Northerners have never really trusted Igbos with power. Last time an Igbo man was president, he didnt last 6 months in power before the Northerners kicked him out. For many Northerners, an Igbo man being in power is the worst thing that can ever happen

3)Northerners want to keep power for a long time after Buhari. They are not prepared in 2023 for Power to move South. Come 2023, they will rally behind another Northerner and vote massively for him just like they have done for Buhari.

Do you really believe that any Northerner will ignore his own brother to vote an Igbo man like Obi? Its not happening
They will rather vote for shekua of boko haram than Igbo man.

Even yorubas won't.

Peter Obi gooffed for attending the burial of Nnamdi kanu's parent. He Obi is nursing the ambition to contest the next presidential election. Going to the burial or a FUGITIVE and a secessionists is very wrong. Obi just armed his rivals what to use against him in 2023 elwction. All they will do is to distribute picture of obi attending the burial of an unrepentant secessionists who is doing everything to break the country. They may accuse him of trying to win the presidency position to break the country .

I am not saying obi shouldn't have sympathize with the Kings family but he should have done it differently by sending message across.

What obi needs right now is to build bridges not indirectly burning them. Most people will see him as an IPOB ALLY NOW and he wants to rule Nigeria

Fear fear people grin grin grin

We all know that you guys dread the day the Igbo elites will demand Biafra. The position of the Igbo masses had been clear from day one,but somehow a badly structured Nigeria continues to lure our politicians with corruption coated carrots.

I truly can't wait for 2023 election. The only barrier holding Biafra is the Igbo politicians. The very day they realize that it is impossible for them to attain the highest position in the land because they are Igbos, then Biafra is here. cool

Ndigbo will not be the ones to beg Nigeria for presidency. grin

The arrogant but foolish north and the greedy south West will set this country on its road to doom. 2023 will clear all doubts.

Op did you read what you wrote? Which fugitive was being buried? His parents were never convicted of any crime or accused of any crime. If I'm not mistaken the late Kanu was a community leader.
Peter Obi did no goof. He did right and showed courage to be at the burial.

You think this is about the northerners? How about the votes Atiku and obi got in Adamawa, taraba, plague, Benue? How about the ones GEJ got? How about the ones ekweme got in 1979?

Igbos were building bridges post civil war until Nnamdi KANU burnt them all.

Igbo were building bridges but all they got was insults and ridicule. Post civil war Igbos were blackmailed with a lot of 'do-this-or-you-won't-be-president' rhetorics. With all they've done, Yet what have they gotten in return? Nothing! Nada! except chants of 'Igbos will never be president'.

Now they are tired and are telling to go 'fuxk yourself!', when you are tired of trying to manipulate and blackmail them by dangling your rotten presidential carrots you can take a hike to hell and burn there. Presidency gba kwa oku!

Y'all have already formed useless points to oppose him without facing the reality of his capacity and prowess. Since it's all down to ethnic bigotry, let the mediocres continue in office while the country sinks. At the end of the day, the inevitable must happen.

He will not dump his identity or refuse to fellowship with his brethren just because of dirty politics. If y'all can still support Buhari despite his clear love for Abacha the worst criminal ever,y'all will rather vote Shekau the terrorist than a decent Igbo man so stop acting like there's any difference. The core muslim northern states never voted GEJ. Go back to your electoral history books.

And the 5% South East votes is enough to make Peter Obi the President or Vice President, so he does not need the votes of NW, NE, NC and SW. You need to go back to Primary School to retake Social Studies class

As for me, Obi shouldn't have been seen around the burial no matter how close he's to the family, he could send his condolences away from the eye of the public especially if he's eyeing the position of the president or vice. Well he still has a great chance in the NASS.

Tinubu wouldn’t do that but then Obi isn’t the only Igbo politician and Obi isn’t a Tinubu. Tinubu might lie, deceive and betray to preserve his political ambitions. For someone like Obi, he is a grown man, responsible for his actions and do not have to be a hypocrite and selfish to achieve his aims. I believe that history will vindicate such people....from his Apga days, he never relented, was consistent and resilient unlike the scenario that plays now where politicians carpet cross, jump ship like the PDP law makers in Imo state.
Obi dumped Apga but he has given us enough to judge his character.

He should be proud to have identified himself with the Kanus.

It’s not all about Aso Rock and presidency. There is life and fulfilment outside politics but lots of politicians in Nigeria won’t survive without politics... you’ll see such individuals displaying exotic cars, wives and children and sub-standard constituency projects.

Do you think Mr Obi isn’t aware of all these before attending the funeral. That’s a man you can trust. That’s a man who won’t betray you.
