Evans, how’s your BGSU funding like?

I applied to History in BGSU. I have a better offer with my preferred course in TTU.

I just got my visa approved about 30 minutes ago . Thanks to everyone who took their time to post on this thread , it helped prepare me for the likely questions.
However, I made sure to not read people’s answers because I wanted my own responses to be unique .

Thank you so much once again.
It was my first interview
No standardized exams
No travel history
No funding
Only applied to one school

By no funding, you mean no scholarship?

Also, kindly share your transcript. Thanks

Don't hide your previous degree oooo. Even if u were rusticated from a school, u must still declare it.

I read that biology related courses are dropping the GRE quite a lot. I guess they just concluded that the exam doesn't prove anything regarding your actual graduate school performance. If graduate school was left to GRE alone, every American campus will be packed with only chinese and Indians alone.

I think your SOP is your most important application document. Just my opinion o.
Thanks for the response

Hello house. Who applied to Missouri state university, I want to know if I can get admission without submitting bank statement yet, and submit it later.

Please, what's the exact cost of VISA application fee in Naira?

Thanks.

I gained admission without the transcripts as I was told to come with the official transcripts upon resumption.

Based on what I have read here, I need to apply to at least three universities. I need the transcripts to complete my application to the other two schools so that it won't be a problem on the visa interview day

I feel there is a lot of misconception regarding applying to many schools. But since u were able to get an admission to Emory without a transcript, I believe u can find two other schools that can accept your application without ur transcript.

Thank you Fairheart. I saw your response earlier but I was on a 24hr ban(cos I tried to copy and repost it). I've just had the interview. Brief. However, as much as I know I answered some of his questions, I feel like I also messed up with some. I'm just hoping to be lucky. Thanks again.

fairheart:
General question about your experience at your current job, academic background and why you feel you fit the position you have applied for. Just make sure you are confident and aware of duties attached to normal administrative assistantship.

Greetings.
Undergrad CGPA = 3.43 (Wes unofficial)
Undergrad course = petroleum engineering
intending course = petroleum engineering (Ms/PhD)
Gre = 295 ( Q 151 , V 144)
TOEFL= 88
Publications= nil
Below are the schools I applied to.

University of North Dakota : accepted into the PhD program without funding. I went ahead to Send emails to the GC but was promised research assistantship after my first semester based on my performance. I see PhD admit without funding as a subtle rejection.
University of Louisiana, Lafayette : accepted into the Ms program. No info on funding. GC is yet to reply my email.
Missouri university of science and technology: accepted into the Ms non-thesis program without funding.
West Virginia university, Morgantown: awaiting PhD admission decision.
Funding seems elusive. My test scores are frustrating my CGPA. I'm in despair

Hello everyone, a friend just directed me here to ask my F1 related questions

Ok so, I want to apply for Fashion Design certificate program at a community college in US. I won’t need to write any exams or submit any important documents like my transcript. My friend thinks it is a bad idea because it is a community college and I won’t be writing any exam to get in.

House please what do you think? I want to know what my options are before going to the embassy for interview. Thanks.

Your GRE score is somehow too low for an engineering course, especially for a PhD engineering course. You can try to apply to some safe schools for Ms. Also, make sure you work on other aspects of your application too to make up for the low GRE
