CORONA-VIRUS also has effect on your Visa Applications as we speak, nothing extraordinary.....

You can postpone applying for Visa Now if you have enough time before you course starts ...

Visa Issuance has almost been halted everywhere around the world now, save your money till some encouraging news emerges on the Virus!

But if you only searching and applying to schools now, Go Ahead!

Greetings fam, a similar case with Eguoski...

This is a second application. Was denied last year on October...i submitted 7days ago, forgot to tick yes ( left it No) the column that says if I have been denied visa in the past in the process... I have never been denied any visa any where apart from last year October( my first app).

Although in my letter of explanatory I address the reasons for refusal ( purpose of visit and family tie both in canada and Nigeria )

Today will make it one week I submitted my application...

Should i send a mail? Need an advice fam
I really don’t know if a mail would sought out this issue but if it were me, I would withdraw the application and reapply, it’s better than getting a misrepresentation ban. But if a mail would sought it out, then good.

What can i do to avoid misinterpretation cos I want to include him in my new application?
vickyehi:

They didnt ask you to prove anything. They only said include the name of all your dependents. You may probably want to thread with caution as this could be grounds for misrepresentation.
Except a case where the father just recently became aware that he has a son for the first time since his last application. Meaning if the child is a recent information to you, then it isnt misrepresentation, but if you knew and suppressed that information in your previous application, it is misrepresentation.

Ignorance of the law isn't an excuse

No body with sense will go there with personal savings over US or CANADA except it’s scholarship or family is funding.

These guys are humans, its called procedural fairness, it was an obvious mistake. Declare you were denied before with date and documents where possible and you will pass. They know you may have made a mistake. this is an opportunity to correct it because if they ban you straight away it will very unfair on their part. If you deny again then you will be banned.

Hello Annettevoke,

At this point, declaring the previous refusal holds no weight. What the VO is mostly concerned about is to understand why PA failed to declare it. If the use of representative form wasn't submitted to show that the mistake wasn't from the PA, the possibility of PA not getting a ban is very slim.

The PA should just focus on writing a remorseful letter and admit wrong doing due to human error and negliglence to information/details asked. The VOs don't recognize mistake when it comes to visa processing, as all they see is "misrepresentation."

One love!

You sit down in Nigeria and Carry your phone with expensive internet , you don't know anything!

Issuance of Visa is completely on the shutdown around the world oga!

Exchange students are being returned to their respective schools amid the crisis, There are fewer classes holding and major conferences and events cancelled.

I am supposed to attend a conference in Switzerland, This is the mail i received, "Visa Issuance for entry into the Country has been abruptly suspended, unless they are of very Urgent purposes, Please contact the organizers of the Conference as it may have been called off"

Every thing don't have source, some are personal experience , you wont know until you try to apply yourself, na ontop this expensive Internet una go still get strength dey argue for Nigeria.

Jejelaye01:

Except you have facts bro. Don't generalise issues or dissuade people from chasing their dreams. Besides, Nigeria isn't marked red yet for COVID-19. So far we have only recorded one case compared to other countries round the world.

Plus this post isn't to bad wash you please.

They aren’t referring to Switzerland visiting visa but Canada STUDY visa. State your source was only what they said. People are still getting approved everyday even though some are silent here.

Do you know my personal experience is a "Source"?? My own source!

I am actually referring to people who may consider the advice , not people that are stubborn!

They are getting approved daily , How many approval do you see here in a Month? less than 10 people? do you know how many application happens in a Month? 50k applications, and you call that approval?

Is Canada different from anywhere in the world ?

If you are a student and you left Russia before January, They are currently taking classes online, they have been advised to stay back at their locations for a number of days to ascertain the Virus !

Same thing with USA, Australia , South Korea, Brazil etc .....

All i said was , "allow some time , if you have the TIME, before putting in your application , at most Around MAY this year!

Hello,
Pls, am new on nairaland. Someone asked me to join and ask my question here.
Pls, can someone in her mid 30's. 35 precisely get an undergraduate admission in Canada.
No previous degree and wrote her waec in 2002.
Married with kids and have vast travel history to many countries.
I truly will love to travel and study Nursing because I have always wanted to be in the medical line and my husband has the money to sponsor.
Is it possible at all?
Pls, help a sister. I will be expecting your response.
Thanks

Hello Blackmary,

Welcome on board. Considering your age and study gap which would be a scrutinizing factor that may be taking into consideration by the VO, it is still not impossible to secure a study visa with a Bachelors degree.

The most important aspect is to justify the study gap and clearly analyse your active engagements during this period. Apart from professional engagements, social aspect like marriage (home building), child birth, family bonding et al was part of the contributing reasons for not been able to acquire a first degree before now.

Given to the provided info, I will base my assumptions that your other requirements like your finance, level of establishment, travel history and that of your sponsor (spouse) is good. If you don't try you won't know, so I will advise you to go ahead and attached a self-explanatory letter to support your application.

All the best.

Please can i get any certificate course in Canada as low as $1000?

Hello Haryoureendey4,

I believe you meant $10,000 CAD. If so, it may varies on the course type and institution. However, for cheap colleges, you can check colleges in the Atlantic provinces.

Hello Nairaland. I’m a pretty new member in the house and I have motive to traveling to the canada for my msc

I studied economics for my undergraduate with a CGPA of 3.98/5.00 and I’m planing to go for my masters in economics. I graduated in 2019 and I haven’t been opportuned to have any working experience.
Gurus in the house I need your advice of the following questions

1)Is there a chance to get a school with full funding or at least part ? As I have searched online for schools that offers scholarships
2) What test do I have to write to process the admission

I’m a newbie on here I will appreciate any advice and any form of help from anyone. Pls feel free to email me at michaelmakah@gmail.com
Thanks for taking your time to read through. I look forward to hear from you soon

Hello Makah00,

Welcome on board. You have a chance of securing funding if you can secure a possible supervisor and opt for a research/thesis-based Masters. Identify prospect schools of your choice and make enquiring about their funding requirement. Also, start contacting prospective suoervisors that have similar research with you to enquire about their availability to supervise you.

Some programs or courses may register you to write (professional) exams, so its your duty to check with your prospect school or website to see if there is any exam to be written.

The earlier you begin your admission process the better. If you have the budget, apply to more than 1 school.

All the best.
