Brent at $34....

It is finished.

It got to a low of 31.38

Dow futures losing over 1,200 points. If care is not taken, it could lose over 2,000 points today.

Time to avoid looking at one's portfolio.

To the newbies:
If you are on dividend paying stocks and trapped due to low prices, stay put and take the cashflow(dividend) that comes with it. Don't rush to reinvest dividends back into stocks. Hold the cash and watch for prices.

If you are on non-dividend paying stocks, SELL now. if you are trapped and can't sell, then you will watch prices fall and no cashflow from your investment.

Goodluck guys.

Well said...I am just awaiting both LSE NSE & NYSE open today. Siddon look activated!

Central banks may be forced to weigh in...else a bigger market plunge may be coming!

My own is what will be Godwin's next move

I placed some trades on Friday through Morgan Capital and they were definitely executed - some were at Mkt prices. I'm checking my account now and they are not reflecting.
I've sent them an email but curious if any other person has the same issue.
Thank you.
It hardly reflect same day. You'll see it today

Even if you hand out cash, humans will still not spend it. They will save it because they are scared of a recession. grin grin

Look at Asian markets. All in huge red.

I wonder what EU markets will trade today.

Gulf markets lost alot. Some in their 7% fall. Now 5% fall is the new normal. This is hyper-volatile.

We are in interesting times.

There is serious red flag with current crude oil price. Most of the world economic will enter recession if urgent step is not taking.

My brother, it is very serious o.

At this time, even those of us with cash are scared. Because you don't know how long this slide will continue.

If Zenith falls today and nears 17, a markdown is tomorrow. N2.50 shaved off from 17 will take it to N14.50.

If the fall continues through out this week, it means Zenith can trade at N10 or below this week.

Meshpips, where are you? Your GTB will be served soon. tongue tongue

What we don't know is how long this oil price slash will last. Remember Russia hardly backs down in any challenge.

If it stays through summer, it will knock lots of economies into recession.

Just wait and buy at ridiculously low prices.

give yourself as long as you can

Russia has this thing plan out and they can wait for it to even drop below 20

When Noah was sailing in his ark, he still felt pity for those that the flood ravaged.

The ark has set sail. Those in the ark (mattress gang) are looking with awe and pity.

That is why you should not just focus on trading NSE. Monitor the body language of the worldwide market and lots of asset classes. There are signs that you can pick up from there that can tell you that FPI go (or don dey) pick race.

So you start to suspect them and prepare.
