Hyenas? Of course not! The only game eaten in South Africa are things like kudus, springboks etc. Black South Africans (except for the people up North, near Zimbabwe), in particular, don't eat strange things. Many won't even eat a rabbit, pheasants etc.

As a matter of interest, why does it seem that Nigerians in general have this abnormal obsession with white people? I see Nigerians commenting on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook etc and the pattern is always the same

Ahhhhhh, that's not fair to Nigerians smiley
We are quite the opposite of what SAans are in terms of hospitality and reception though we have many things in common .
This you cannot deny except you are not honest with yourself.

What? We're the originators of Ubuntu, the only country in Africa synonymous with the spirit of giving. South Africans are hospitable, until you give them a reason not to give a rat's behind about human kindness etc.

I mean, for example, I'll talk about South Africa, when something in SA is positive, you'll see Nigerians praising whites and lambasting blacks. I regularly hear comments like " the black man is cursed, backward, etc" others keep on lamenting the day the Whiteman left Nigeria, others yearn for a re-colonization, people make threads about Nigerians married with whites or how a white person was seen in the streets of Kaduna eating Garri etc, it's ridiculous really and I see this almost everyday. the comment " South Africa wouldn't be what it is without whites" is an everyday occurence

that was during the Apartheid era
Post Apartheid SA is totally different, there is no Ubuntu found in the hearts of an average SA.
I know because I lived with them for years......

Maybe towards you, because we've been bled out in that department. No more Mr Nice Guy. But South Africans towards each other, they practice their core values still, even today.

I'd say comments like if not for whites, SA would have been...... and stuff like a call fpr recolonization comes from a place of anger and frustration about how things have detoriorated over timenot just in Nigeria. To be honest look around you. Can you honestly name one country being led by blacks and is recording any meaningful progress? Seriously even your SA we only started hearing of unemployment and all the crime rates when blacks took over. Not saying whites are more clever than us. I feel our heads are not in the right place thats all. Deep down I dont think they believe that whites are more clever or more superior than us.
As for the other embarrassing bit about white people beign celebrated for eating garri etc. That is from a lavk of exposure. Truth is for many of our people theu dont see oyinbos too often. Back in the 80s we had white kids in our primary schools. Theu climbed trees with us and played our traditional games with us. For us then it was nothing unusual. With time the whites left and apart from really posh schools you hardly see them around so I guess its kinda unusual to see a white man eating garri hence the " hey come check this out comments". Similar to when you see a white man in dreds smoki g weed and speaking in Jamaican lingo grin
I hope this gives you some sort of perspective

Nigerians aren't the only frustrated Africans, but white praise is louder over there. Nigerians look at South African maidens walking bare-chested and say they're "primitive' or 'barbaric'. It's self-hate nothing more nothing less
