Script wey dem don act finish.

The flooding of the world with liquidity is just to address the economic concerns that will start to crop up in April and May.

Money go enter people hands to buy and spend their way out of recession.

Once NSE stocks just dey do 10... 10% and bids just dey mount without offers clearing them, just know that hoarding(of shares) has started.

Ur a shrewd fellow !! wink cheesy grin

OGG, I equally agreed they're playing out script. It's all a strategy but we just have to play safe around this time too, cos these entities on mission have all it's needed to make or mar any economy, may God help his children to make fortune instead of loss in Jesus name.

The truth still remain that they are playing out script. But sometimes it may ended up getting out of hand. This current one is already getting out of hand. It's has contributed in damaging a lot.

Most sickness don't show symptoms the first day, but after some days, likewise the effect of this corona virus and crude oil war will soon come, no company has reported loss, we still in 2019 final year result with good result. 2020 q1 result will be out by next month, and most companies result will be poor.

Great men and women, this is 2020, we need to be dynamic in our approach and see what others have refused to see. There is still money to be made in this market despite all the uncertainties in the world if you know what you're doing. Don't listen to the bear-bear noise-makers, study the trend of the market and you'll discover a pattern. The signs are there. Some of us bought good quantities of DANGCEM at N124 and pass them on at N135 in less than 48 hours. Zenith nko, ACCESS nko, UBA nko, FBNH nko, MTN nko, WAPCO nko, Guaranty nko...the list goes on. What're we doing with gains? Increasing our stake in Zenith and GTB(long term things).

Please, see beyond the noise and restrategize your approach during this period!

As for me, as far as no stock will sell below N0.20k, "we d!e here" grin cool grin

My dear, u may need to recheck ur assertion.
On the part in bold...

Since the Civil War, only one US president has won reelection with a recession occurring in between.
It was President William McKinley in 1900.
Since then, all four presidents running for reelection who had such a recession lost: Presidents William Taft, Herbert Hoover, Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush.

Over the same span, all 10 who have sought reelection without such a recession have won: Presidents Woodrow Wilson, Franklin D. Roosevelt (3x), Dwight D. Eisenhower, Richard M. Nixon, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
But when you include all presidential elections (and not just presidents seeking reelection), the party in power has lost 13 of the last 19 races in which there was such a recession.
Of the last 21 races without such a recession, the president’s party has won 16 of them.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2019/08/12/how-recession-could-doom-trumps-reelection/

Again, ur perspective(to counter the post u quoted) is suggestive of an investor who only waits to price assets AFTER THE CALM and not BEFORE IT.
The best opportunity to key into depressed assets comes during the latter and not the former. ...'cause that's about the time u get good MoS discount on a risk-reward discounted basis.
This is usually the best line result for a VALUE INVESTOR !!

What Oracle is telling u is that there are 2 distinct periods;
A period of stormy weather.(from the height of worries with covid-19 and oil price slump) ...with signals in early January before its manifestation.
...and now a period of RELATIVE CALM(decreasing impact of events, QE) ...with signals beginning a few days ago.
It's common sense to sell into the 1st signal and gradually buy into the 2nd. ...with selective buying of healthy brands, the way to go !!

The problem with waiting until AFTER THE CALM(when u see a clear direction) is that u may most likely buy assets at expensive pegs then. ...then u may even be buying from him !! wink cheesy grin
Remember;

"If u desire to WIN more 'open battles' with the stock market, then NEVER work to PLAY AHEAD of it or seek to TIME It.
...work to PLAY ALONG with it and seek to better ur playing STRATEGY.
Unless of course u wish for a far less win than normal."
~Sinclair

My assertion there was a mistake. Thank you for calling my attention.

The economy is no longer his priority because of pressure. He has to act fast to relieve America from the distress. What is the benefit of QE when the whole country is lockdown?? He knows that locking down his country would trigger economic recession and that's why he jettison the idea. But as it stands, he has no option than to succumb to the wish of the people by locking down some parts to reduce the spread of the disease. He didn't intend locking down any part of America before.

I am not timing the market.
You are an engineer and you know "factor of safety", some people use 3, 4 ,5 etc. depending on the risk appetite of the engineer. I have to use higher factor of safety because of the happenings around the world. I have little capital to play in the market, if the price didn't get to where I deem safe, I wouldn't buy. I will then use the money to invest something else.

Thank you for your insight sir.

For newbies or interested oldbies, there's money to be made in JBerger considering their mouth watering dividend and bonus issue.
You can just be targeting it at below 22 because the qualification date is still far, which is 29 May, 2020.
This is just my opinion.

My people nobody is talking about how this COVID 19 go take affect AGM oooo and ultimately dividend payment because i think without AGM legally dividend cannot be paid particulalry for thos AGM coming up within d next 2 weeks

AGM' may likely hold. ...but with high safety measures in place.

https://punchng.com/nse-advises-firms-to-adopt-safety-measures-for-agm/

Understandably, most folks may not wish to attend as the "stay at home" talk gathers more momentum.
...but as long as an AGM holds, there'll be approval for dividend distribution no matter the No of persons(shareholders) that attend it.
Voting will be done with any available attendees, even if its just 20 !!
And those who stayed back at home will give their E-approval.(who doesn't like free money) grin grin grin

See GTB and Zenith results, they had no impact at all. grin
