I'm sure we have more cases than they're reporting..

Much more.

To the best of my knowledge there are only 2 testing centers one in Abuja the other in Lagos.

It's wen people start dying in droves that we will really start panicking

The virus is not as deadly as that. The it spread is my deepest concern. Once it hits up to more than 200 in Nigeria ,that's when the real problem will begin but because we don't have enough health facilities. And that's when death will start occurring.

It's just yesterday I was made to understand this virus didn't occur naturally, but a failure of laboratory activity in China.

If that is the case, I still dont understand why the global economic migrants remained quiet about the failure of an almighty China, rather, their energies are directed to Buhari for several reasons on same virus.

Why some people so hit by complex that they can even insult the hell outta their parents because of oyibo?

Make una dey deceive una self that this virus is nothing to worry about

KwaraRat:

China's Teleco subscriber base drops by 8 million signifies potential Deaths from COVID-19

Records from active subscriber base of all combined Chinese Telecos shows a massive 8 million dip in subscriber base in the period December 2019 to February 2020.

www.nairaland.com/attachments/11240313_capture_png78f16eee552a85331b9f4f38cd4a8a5f

Why is this of any significance you may ask because in China, your mobile account is vital there as it’s tied to your Alipay, social media, etc. Between December and February almost 8 million accounts have been closed. China's authoritarian communist dictatorship runs a tight Owerllian society and monitors every single move their citizens make. Their financial transactions from anything as paying for a haircut or ordering for noodles is done via their mobile phone. The Communist social credit score system is also linked to ones use of their mobile phones. China is one of the country's leading in cashless society and alternative means other than use of mobile phones to pay for services and goods is almost impossible to avoid as most vendors only accept payments through phones. To foreigners visiting China this can be a real hassle as they are restricted from having phones.
The same Chinese govt also used the COVID-19 contagion to effectively discourage and ban use of cash.

It is important I bring this up because having an active phone in China is tied up to your very existence.

So what happened to the 8 million subscribers that disappeared

Your guess is as good as mine. THEY ARE DEAD!

Check out the links below and scrutinize the data and see for yourself that this has never happened before in a country where mobile smart phone use has been climbing steadily.

Watch and listen to Will Smith talk about why Social Distancing is key to containing the spread of Corona Virus. This is a MUST WATCH!!!

You see how foolish people are.

You want to use the communist draconian model of culling and lying to wish the virus away.

This is how people get enslaved by their own foolishness.

You even trust anything that comes out Chinese govt shows how ignorant you are..

Please shut all ports of entry - All land borders and ban all international flights until further notice.

Nigeria might not be able to handle the consequence. Remember Lagos is densely populated.

It is deadly in older people (60+) and those with compromised immune systems if they get exposed to it. I don't know about Nigeria, but people in developed countries are hiding their older folks away i.e. keeping them locked in nursing homes and elsewhere.

The problem with Nigeria is that we never plan we are also reacting instead of taking initiative like other countries. EU are still biting their fingers for not reacting early, yet we still allow people from high risk area to come and go as pleased.

Seeing what is going on in Italy and for EU to put their country on lock down this is not a joking matter.

In fact our best option would have been to close borders and take it from there. Now that we have enough cases quarantine is not going to be effective in Nigeria.. Majority of the population work in the informal sector, how in health are we going to keep them indoors for a considerable number of days unless we declare state of emergency and place 24 hours curfew.

Please those people with big brains on the forum should come forward with their take on this matter.

We cannot lock down this country unless the Nigerian government is willing to pay people a percentage of their earnings.

The UK is paying 80% of people's salaries to keep them at home...that's a Kingdom with a working system.

It's a good thing that APC and Buhari have no Jonathan to blame anymore.

These magas in government knew how populated Lagos is and refused to impose travel restrictions early enough.

This is gross and unacceptable failure on the part of ministry of health, and the federal government by extension... After we got lucky with the Italian index case, better and stricter measures should have been the key word...

Those returnees should have been subjected to any of the following:

1. Minimum of 2 weeks in quarantine.

2. Monitored and restricted self-isolation in their choice locations.

This would have still kept the nation secured with no uncertainties... Now, tell me how you intend to trace every single person all passengers mixed and interacted with (That is if you can actually locate all passengers of that damn flight)!!!
