It's shameful and annoying that some persons are still shouting fake news.

I guess some people only watch NTA

The most stupid set of people are those that say the virus can't thrive in our environment and our blood is too strong for the virus bullshits.

How is the climate of India any different from Nigeria that they are also on lockdown?

Exactly my thoughts. I have been going through various threads on this Corona virus "pandemic" and I smile at how a lot reason. Unfortunately, more people will still bash Yenefer because of their ignorance

The problem is the mutation of the virus. It becomes more virulent by the day to conform to the environment it finds itself

It is also unfortunate that many Nigerians are using self medication which may make the virus become tolerant and become even more dangerous.

So YES there could be a sort of immunity by the people of colour at the beginning but with the mutational tendencies of the virus, no one is safe...NO ONE

People like Yenefer are trolls and won't listen to reason. If 1000 people get sick from Corona they will need more Healthcare professional and doctors to treat them. They will probably infect more pple. The 31 confirmed cases in Lagos may have infected other people. If and Epidemic breaks out in Nigeria (God forbid). How many medical supplies does LUTH have? How many cannisters of Oxygen do they have?

While the government may handle this whole thing with levity, let's not forget that Corona Virus is a respecter of nobody. Buhari should not forget that either himself or any of his family members can die as a result of Corona Virus. Never throw stone into the market because you never can tell who the stone would hit. It might be your mother, father, sister or brother.

And our borders are still opened. People come in asymptomatic with the virus undetected and are allowed to go home.

We had more than two months ahead to prepare for this epidemic. Infact, all these cases could have been avoided if we shut our borders immediately after the Italian case.

Your post is important, because it elicits the need to make a distinction between the virus (coronavirus 2) and the disease it causes (Covid-19).

People who're asymptomatic can be said to be infected with coronavirus, but not afflicted with Covid-19.

Lol, because u haven't suffered from acute malaria doesn't mean malaria isn't deadly. Malaria is very deadly to some set of people. Have u heard of acute malaria?. Tens of thousands of people die of malaria in Nigeria, but because the media doesn't publicize this so much, u think malaria is something u have and take medicine and it gets cured.
The only thing scary about this is the fact that a vaccine hasn't been created yet for this. If everyone practices social distancing within the period that the virus is able to get curbed, we ahould just be fine
This is no different from diseases like influenza and even ebola.
.
To start with there is no term like acute malaria.
It can be acute uncomplicated or complicated as the case may be.
Malaria has being with us for ages. It is an infectious disease, but it is transmitted by a plasmodium spps. Well studied with lot of literatures written or it pathophysiology. Same as many other diseases like HIV/AIDs and whole lots more.

The reason COVID is tending is because its highly infectious and its an emerging DX with a whole lot not know about it.

So don't open ur mouth and say things u don't know about.

Do you know if your region has been submerged with the Coronavirus but not yet detected?

OYO is your case. You should be grateful it came to South West first. Maybe your people would have been wiped out by now if it came to your region first.

Because the people that are being tested are mostly those that just got back. If you just returned from a country that's not severely affected by the virus, you might even find it difficult to get tested. Before you talk of all the people that got it from secondary contact. Trust me, the people with the virus in Nigeria are more than times 3 that number. That's the case also in the US. The more people get tested, the more numbers that'll be announced.

False news. The media is just interested in causing panic and justifying the government actions of shutting down everything.

Do you have any evidence about this or are you one of those mentally cursed idiot s, who don't mind sounding stupid because they want to defend Buhari?

If the news is fake as you said, may your life be blessed abundantly.

But if the news is.true, then may you and your entire family get infected and die from the infection.

Saw a YouTube clip yesterday of some idiot sneezing in the bus in Owerri without catching his sneeze safely! The other passengers had a go at the fool, but he was busy shouting back and claiming he has the right to sneeze if he wants to! Also saw a news report yesterday on Channels about this COVID thing...they were showing a shot of a busy bus stop or park. Not only were the buses packed like sardines, but i also saw one fool hugging another guy like they were boyfriend and girlfriend! Apparently the guy hasn’t heard of the need for social distancing!

I believe up to 2,000 people would have been infected by now! Mainly due to ignorance and stupidity! Surely by now everyone has heard of COVID-19 and the need to keep your distance from others and clean your hands regularly!
Okay... Let's go easy with the exaggeration cheesy

Yeah it only kill old people with pre-existing conditions. Only 2 out of 100 show moderate symptoms, 98 show no symptoms, only people with weak immune system or pre-existing conditions shows severe symptoms.

Stop talking nonsense. Covid 19 is capable of killing 10 percent of the infected as can be seen in Italy. And it doesn't kill only the elderly.

You better be careful
