It's shameful and annoying that some persons are still shouting fake news. I guess some people only watch NTA The most stupid set of people are those that say the virus can't thrive in our environment and our blood is too strong for the virus bullshits. How is the climate of India any different from Nigeria that they are also on lockdown? 2 Likes |

Angrymode: The problem is the mutation of the virus. It becomes more virulent by the day to conform to the environment it finds itself It is also unfortunate that many Nigerians are using self medication which may make the virus become tolerant and become even more dangerous. So YES there could be a sort of immunity by the people of colour at the beginning but with the mutational tendencies of the virus, no one is safe...NO ONE 1 Like |

People like Yenefer are trolls and won't listen to reason. If 1000 people get sick from Corona they will need more Healthcare professional and doctors to treat them. They will probably infect more pple. The 31 confirmed cases in Lagos may have infected other people. If and Epidemic breaks out in Nigeria (God forbid). How many medical supplies does LUTH have? How many cannisters of Oxygen do they have? |

While the government may handle this whole thing with levity, let's not forget that Corona Virus is a respecter of nobody. Buhari should not forget that either himself or any of his family members can die as a result of Corona Virus. Never throw stone into the market because you never can tell who the stone would hit. It might be your mother, father, sister or brother. 1 Like |

LaIabobo: Your post is important, because it elicits the need to make a distinction between the virus (coronavirus 2) and the disease it causes (Covid-19). People who're asymptomatic can be said to be infected with coronavirus, but not afflicted with Covid-19. |

wrose:. To start with there is no term like acute malaria. It can be acute uncomplicated or complicated as the case may be. Malaria has being with us for ages. It is an infectious disease, but it is transmitted by a plasmodium spps. Well studied with lot of literatures written or it pathophysiology. Same as many other diseases like HIV/AIDs and whole lots more. The reason COVID is tending is because its highly infectious and its an emerging DX with a whole lot not know about it. So don't open ur mouth and say things u don't know about. 1 Like |

okpalaAnambra: Be there shouting south west has been invaded. Do you know if your region has been submerged with the Coronavirus but not yet detected? OYO is your case. You should be grateful it came to South West first. Maybe your people would have been wiped out by now if it came to your region first. |

Re: Coronavirus: Confirmed Cases In Nigeria Is 30, 3 New Cases In Lagos by ChristoBam: 11:03pm On Mar 22, 2020 |
CanadaOrBust: Because the people that are being tested are mostly those that just got back. If you just returned from a country that's not severely affected by the virus, you might even find it difficult to get tested. Before you talk of all the people that got it from secondary contact. Trust me, the people with the virus in Nigeria are more than times 3 that number. That's the case also in the US. The more people get tested, the more numbers that'll be announced. 1 Like |
