I don't even trade Brent sef, NYSE or EU. So where is the inside information? But I study body language of people to predict what their next move could be. I research past events to see what was done then and predict that it could be done now. It is not rocket science to do these and draw parallel from those events.

I tire for that oga.

I have used this to win in take-overs, buyouts and mergers. History that aligns.

This whole market prediction though, is on another level I am yet to attain.

Baba, forget reading and understanding chats/markets o. This market has been going against technicians' predictions since COVID 19. And no one with insider info will come here and say they have it.

How realistic do you assume it is to acquire such level of insider information?
The insiders don't even know some of these things. They apparently neglect them.

I apologize if you see it this way. Never intended.

Insider information? Stop discrediting me.

I only make analysis and deduce from the chart I look at.

If you can't interpret charts, just sit and watch rather than say one has insider information.

*Observe the market. Research your fundamentals.

*Don't trade with your emotions: the market has no emotion.

*Don't trade any money you MIGHT need in the next 6 months or 12months.

*You decisions can go either way: WIN OR LOSS! Complete loss.

I am still fine-tuning my processes and updating my notes. I want to believe that we are trading with machines around the world and once you can decipher that pattern or track they are on, you will be on the same track with it.

But most people can't do the hardwork of checking similarities and conformances. Only FXUSER that I have chatted with and saw that he is really on top of the game in finding these patterns.

Isaac Newton could not predict the direction of the herd then, but I certainly believe we can do it now that we are in machine(algo) age. The herds are machines!

To my level at the moment, I read the news and use what happened before when something similar happened to key into some stocks. My TA is at average level and I don't use them often, especially in NSE that they sometimes don't apply.

Although in the US stock market, I have successfully used RSI, SMA, MACD and some other Trend Following Indicators to make some wins.

Meanwhile, I'm following in your comments and learning.

since GTB seems to be the only coy that will pay dividend next week, another 10% next week is in the making. Those who will receive their dividend might likely want to average up to cushion their loss hence the jump in price.

This is for those who have entered or entering today who can take the risk. It can go both ways.

good luck and Godspeed grin

Good day everyone.

Can you please if you already received your AFRIPRUD dividend? I am yet to receive mine. I thought the payment date should be the 23rd of March.

Somebody called me an a.s.s.lic.ker when i was angry and replying those insulting him and Agba few times like that, my aim then was to make sure we didn't chase useful people away from this forum cos they don't need us to make any decision concerning their investments, we are the ones that needed them.
I hope we learn to give the bosses their respect and look away from some comments that we think are not personally comfortable with us, so we can gain a lot from them.

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by safepaulooo(m): 2:04pm On Mar 26, 2020
AFRIPRUD, UCAP, UBA have refused to pay because they can't hold AGM due to COVID 19. This is money that would have alleviated people's suffering at this crucial time. Perhaps they selfishly want shareholders to sell their shares at current ridiculous low market prices, then they would buy up. GTB has shown their brain power by organising controlled AGM. This war is double-fronted, Tony and CO should do the needful - organize controlled AGM and pay the dividends as scheduled.

It's called coded dumping.today it touched #8.90 and will later consolidate at N6. Better cut your losses before it's too late

IYGEAL:

It's not as simple as you stated it. It's true that everyone has right to freedom of speech and such shouldn't be trampled; but look at it from another angle in which a lot of investors who frequent this forum are either newbies or do take messages here at face value, and a certain veteran authoritatively advised a sell off - an advice he himself couldn't heed.

Well, we wish everyone would always do their own due diligence before buying stocks, but, unfortunately, that's not the case. People don't even know how to do the due diligence things. It sounds like rocket science to them and, as a result, they often decide based on what they read in fora like this. I have been there and done that before kind of getting my acts together.

This is not particularly about freedom of speech but the intent, and the effects of those speeches.

Left for people like you and I, we'd let those messages only play a part in our decisions but not be the sole determinants.

But what about the less shrewd?

But the guy didn't force anyone to buy nor to sell.

I have refused to see the value in Lafarge Africa. Even their father Dangote Cement is struggling like no man business. For short play, it will be good I however doubt the long term position of the company.
