MARRIED AND SLAYING: DIARY OF MRS. NWAKAEGO ETADAFE

Episode 16

Dear Diary,

31st January, 2019.

I am in my office right now, and I know that if I don't put down my multitude of thoughts, I might not have another chance this week. My staff are working round the clock to meet up with a lot of deadlines. We have additional clients who will deliver breakfast to, not just the workaholics, but also the stay-at-home mums, then the crowd that work from home and the grandpas and grandmas who are on our initial list.

My drivers are looking worn out because they have to deliver breakfast, lunch and dinner to the same set of people on a daily basis. It is quite tiring and I feel their pain. So, I have decided to add a few bonuses to their salary package. This will indeed boost their efficiency and encourage them to press forward on their tasks.

Aside from this daily deliveries, we also have outdoor weekend engagements back to back. Since the Christmas holiday, it's being like this. And now, Valentine is around the corner. I am already thinking of employing more people. But I need wisdom on how to go about it. More hands or should I increase the salaries of my present staff? Will they be able to cope with the new workload and deliver? I don't want to shoot myself in the leg. Definitely not at this stage in my business. Just when I am starting to gain my clients' trusts and there have been massive referrals. Making a mistake at this stage will cost me big time.

I don't know exactly what I will do. Maybe I will ask Praise for advice. He has been running the bakery for a long time. He must have gathered a truck load of experience. I might as well tap from his well of wisdom.

Diary, guess who came to my office this morning. It was Iniabasi! My neighbour! The stay-at-home mum who has joined a few others to carry their faces. I was shocked when my new P.A told me that she was here to see me.
Iniabasi told me that Adesuwa gave her the direction to my business place. While I pondered on why she wanted to see me, she started to talk. She didn't waste time before spilling the beans. She said she didn't want to end up like Adesuwa.

Diary, you won't believe what she told me. Even till now, it's still hard for me to comprehend. Iniabasi said her so called husband has not paid anything on her head! Whaaaaat?! How is that even possible? That means he isn't even her husband, but her what? How do you classify two people living together with their kids?

The only thing they have done is introduction. As in how now? Who intro help sef? So, after two kids, what were they waiting for? In the eyes of the law, this two are not married o. If kasala burst now, Iniabasi will lose out. No wonder she is scared.

She said after their introduction, her husband, no, her baby daddy, I can't call him her husband now. Etim travelled out of the country on a business trip. When he returned, she had already given birth to their son. They moved in together and since then, they have been postponing and procrastinating their traditional and court wedding. Can you imagine? After two kids? What kind of postponement is that now?

When will some women receive brain sef? Is it until he hooks up with a Jezebel out there and marries her? Is that when these women will open their eyes? Ehn?

Me, I advised Iniabasi to call her people sharply. They must get Etim's people to come pay something on her head before the end of the new month. And they must fix the proper wedding arrangements. They do not need a big splash wedding at this stage. All she needs to do is to drag his bum-bum to Ikoyi Registry and get him married to her legally.

It is hard to believe that myself and a few others are the only legally married women in the neighbourhood. Na wa o. Wonders shall never end. I just hope that Etim has not been stupid enough to display his cucumber to everything in skirts out there. I just hope that he still loves Iniabasi. I hope he loves her enough to pay her bride price and legalize their marriage.

But we women should stop putting ourselves in these kind of unpleasant situations. We need to wise up and protect ourselves. We cannot keep allowing some of these men to sugarcoat us into something we might regret later on. Abi diary, how you check am?

One of my staff just popped her head into my office.

I got to go diary.

Duty calls.

Talk to you later.

SheWrites I must commend you for managing to write a book so entertaining, informative and humourous. Personally, I have learnt much reading 'Sassy and Slaying' and 'Married and slaying'.

I never knew marriage could be so problematic as in the case of Nwa's neighbours. I have learnt some tips now from Nwa's mistakes on how to avoid rape.

You are gifted dearie. Please keep it up.

PS: This is my first post on nairaland, oya clap for me!

MARRIED AND SLAYING: DIARY OF MRS. NWAKAEGO ETADAFE

Episode 17

Dear Diary,

10th February, 2019

I am angry, upset and going berserk at this very moment. You cannot imagine what transpired at the bakery today. Oh diary, it is impossible for me to unsee what I have seen and unhear what I heard. Can you imagine? What sort of world do we live in now? I am on the verge of exploding right now. I just want to break something, smash something, tear something up! If I have a nuclear weapon right now, I will just blow something up.
I am taking a deep breath in. I need to control myself so that I can write about what happened. I am taking another deep breath. I am exhaling slowly now. Let me gist you what happened diary. Smoke is still coming out of my ears.

I went to my husband's bakery this afternoon. I wanted to get his advise concerning the steps I needed to take, whether I should increase my staff's salary or hire more hands. When I got there, many of the bakery workers were not around. I was told they went to the streets to distribute flyers for the bakery's Valentine package.

I didn't meet the receptionist and my husband's P.A at their desks, so I assumed that they were also out. Praise and I talked for a while then he started to tease me and rough play soon started. We were running about in his office like kindergarten children. Hahahaha... my husband likes rough play biko nu.

Things got a little bit heated. Praise wanted a quickie, but I wanted us to get home first, but he disagreed and begged me until I allowed him. Hmmm... it was short, hot and spicy. Praise wanted more, but not until I promised to give it to him as eh dey hot when we got home, did he relent.

I went into the toilet to clean myself up, then I heard someone come into the office. I recognized the lady's voice. It was the receptionist. I cleaned my hands and I was about to come out when her next statement paralyzed me for the next ten seconds.

Diary, this small rat started to tell my husband how she had fallen in love with him at first sight when she began work at the bakery. She went on to say that she became depressed because he was a married man and the fact that he didn't notice her and the possibility of her having him all to herself was pretty slim, yet this didn't kill her feelings for him.

Even after she changed the way she dressed, putting on skimpy clothes to get his attention, the fact that he turned a blind her made her decide to take the bulls by the horn.

Diary! See trouble! Dog dey sleep, mad man go wake am!

This wayward receptionist claimed that he also had feelings for her, after all, she was younger and prettier than his wife. Me? She was talking about me! It is like dem don fry battery for this girl's head.

She said she also had better and bigger arsenal and barca than I do.

Diary! She is still referring to me!

I started to doubt if I was truly hearing things. I opened the door slightly and I indeed saw the girl. She wasn't lying diary. She was skimpily dressed! You need to see the micro mini skirt she was putting on. Her buttocks was literally protruding! This was enough to send any man to Yaba Left. Her jacket nko? No spaghetti or tube blouse inside. She wore nothing inside the jacket. Her chest was just opened and her coconuts were half way exposed! They actually looked liked they wanted to burst out of the prison she caged them.

Eh! I began to fear for my husband. So, this foolish girl has been indirectly sexually harassing him on a daily basis. Eh Chi mo! I don die finish! I don't know how he has been coping or how he has been able to turn a blind eye to all her distracting manipulations.

Truth be told, the girl is finnneeeee! She is prettier than I am and her physique was times two of what I have got. But she has just written her own sack letter with what she has done.

Diary, this is the last time I am going to allow the manager to hire a female receptionist. No wonder my husband's P.A is a guy. The man doesn't want trouble in any shade or size.

Diary, it didn't end there o. The next thing this girl did made my brain to sing! I had a melt down literally. This girl from hell grabbed my husband, crushed him in her arms and she began to rub her coconuts against his chest! Then she grabbed his buttocks and pressed it against her camel toe!

Aaaaaaaah! Diary! This girl don madt oooooooo! Aaaaaaaah! Yeh-kpa-ri-kpa! She don jam kolo mental today!

You needed to see the way I flew out of the toilet like Wonder Woman. I wished I had a whip, I would have designed her body with all sorts of tribal marks.

The girl almost died when she saw me sha. She had no idea that I was around. The shock on her face was an award winning facial expression. Diary, she took off. She ran out of my husband's office and back to her desk. I went after her and told her to pack her things, leave and never return. The bakery will pay her for the number of days she has worked that month.

The trembling girl picked up her things in a hurry and fled. When I returned to Praise's office. The man was still trying to gather himself. He told me that when they employed her, he noticed the way she kept smiling at him every working day. She was always ready to run his errands and do things for him, to the extent that his P.A started to complain that the girl was doing part of his job.

At a point, he thought she was just been over zealous, then he noticed the change in her dressing. He kept her at arms length, hoping that the manager will address her dress code asap.

My darling husband told me that he was beyond shock at the way she pounced on him! And if I had not stepped out of the toilet when I did, he would have slapped the girl silly till she regained her senses. He was already turned on and he didn't want her kind of trouble. Trust my husband, he doesn't take nonsense.

Praise was like he was done with female receptionists. It was better to be safe than sorry. Not with the rate at which some girls were claiming that they were raped especially when things do not go their way. These bad eggs make it difficult for people to tell the real raped victims from the liars. It is so unfortunate.

I stayed with my husband till he was ready to go home. Can you imagine that we still saw the crazy girl outside the bakery building? What was she waiting for? The moment she saw me, she ran!

Diary, abeg warn this silly girl and every other girl, lady, woman or grandma that has ulterior motives towards my husband. Me, I craze wella. I no normal at all. I go give anyone who cross me trouble for trouble, fire for fire. I dey ready any day, anytime. Abi dem think say we dey buy husband for Yaba market? Abeg, abeg, abeg, make dem shift.

Now I have to service my husband properly this night. I need to erase every trace of that silly girl from his mind. Winch!

I am hissing right now.

Talk to you later diary.

I still dey vex.

MARRIED AND SLAYING: DIARY OF MRS. NWAKAEGO ETADAFE

Episode 18

14th February, 2019.

Happy Saint Valentine's day diary! There is so much excitement in the air. I saw some teenagers driving out this evening, all clad in red. You need to see what the girls were putting on. All these small small girls that have not matured. Eh! They are almost naked! Looking like fowls after one must have peeled off its feathers. And there are small small boys and shameless cradle snatchers out there, ready to devour them. Their parents should just pray that they return home in one piece.

I am supposed to be happy today because it's a day of love and romance and giving and sharing and Praise is taking me out for a dinner date later today. He is the one I am even waiting for as I sit here at the dining, writing. He left an hour or so ago, to go run a last minute errand. I am all dressed up, looking fly, ready to go out and catch some fun.

Diary, another kasala is waiting to happen o. Why are some people born with trouble marks on their foreheads like this? They said people should let sleeping dogs lie, but some people want to go poke the dogs with sticks. It is like they have fried plantain and eggs on their heads.
While Praise and I had breakfast earlier today, he told me that my new P.A, the younger sister of one of my cooks, came by to drop some fruits in the house yesterday.

Wait, wait, wait... One, I didn't send the girl to drop any fruits in my house. Two, what's she doing in my house? I have only sent her to my place of residence once or twice. What's going on here?

Praise asked me why I keep sending the girl home every week. Now he is complaining that she dresses very skimpy whenever she comes.

Ehhhhhh! Diiiiaaaaarrrrrry! You see gbe ge?! Every week kwa?! This girl has been showing up at my house every single week, lying that I sent her and she has been terrorizing my husband with her skimpy wears. Come to think of it, she comes to work looking decent everyday. Does that mean that there is always a change of clothes in her bag? Or what do you think diary?

I told my husband that the last time I sent the girl home was several weeks ago. No wonder I have been seeing fruits in my fridge, on the kitchen table and on the dining, thinking that Praise bought them. But now I know that it is my P.A that has been bringing the fruits home. I hope she didn't poison them or add some sort of love portion. See me see wahala.

What kind of trouble is this one now? Is it now wrong to help people? I remember when this cook of mine was telling me about her younger sister who has been job hunting for a while. Have I done bad by employing her? Her probation period is over and she has done extremely well. But this her recent adventure in my home... hmmmm... this is definitely going to cost her, her job.

Praise also said whenever she comes, all her body parts will be falling out of her clothes like an overfilled pot of soup. See mental torture for my husband! What kind of nonsense is this now?
I have told my husband that the next time she shows up in our matrimonial home, he should call me.

This girl is in so much trouble. I have special plans for her already. And she will be smiling at me and be saying "Yes, ma, yes ma," to me at the office. Not knowing that she goes to my place to taunt my husband. So all na for show?

How can you come to my house to seduce my husband, not once, not twice, but every single week? Are you madt?!

Keeping my fingers crossed. Everyday is for the thief and one day is for the owner. She will be back, abi? We die here today!

My husband is back! I just heard the sound of his car's horn. I need to reapply my lipstick.

Got to go diary. I am looking forward to a fun-filled night-out.

Catch you later.

Mwuah!

MARRIED AND SLAYING: DIARY OF MRS NWAKAEGO ETADAFE

Episode 19

Dear Diary,

20th February, 2019.

Today has just been crazy diary. The morning started well, but the day turned chaotic hours later. The unexpected unfolded when I least expected it.

I don't know why people like biting the very fingers that fed them. Why do people like repaying good with evil? Why? Ehn diary?
Kasala burst today o. Serious one at that. I am still mad and angry.

It all began this morning when I sent my P.A to the island to meet a client. I expected her back at the office on or before two in the afternoon, depending on the traffic. You know how the Third Mainland bridge when there is traffic. The standstill is enough to give any healthy man a migraine.

As I was enjoying my lunch later in the day, Praise called me around 12pm or so and told me that our security guard said my P.A was at the gate.

Diaarrryyyyy! Is my house Lagos island? Is my husband the client I sent this girl to go and meet? Abi dem don knack dis girl's head for grinding stone?

I told him to let her in and I promised to be home in a jiffy. Thank God my business place is not far from home. I abandoned my food and flew out of my office. I drove home with the speed of light and snuck into the house through the backdoor.
I peeped from the corridor leading into the sitting room and saw Praise seated on the sofa, whilst my P.A was standing in front of him, clad in a tube macro mini dress! This wasn't the attire she came to the office with! When did she change?
Diary, this stupid girl was busy shaking her buttocks at my husband and grabbing and squeezing her coconuts hard! Diaaaaaarrrry!

She told my husband that she had feelings for him and she was ready to be anything he wanted, be it a side chick, his mistress or preferably his second wife. She said she fell for him the first time he came to our office and she had been nursing feelings for him.

Ewo! See gbe ge! See Almighty trouble! What's wrong with all this small, small girls? First, it was the receptionist at my husband's bakery, now it's my P.A. Did they send these Mammy water girls to my darling husband? Haba! They should leave him for me o, biko!

When I came out of my hiding place, my P.A froze. She definitely wasn't expecting to see me. She started saying meaningless rubbish. She blamed the devil of course, but I didn't waste time before sacking her. I don't want the likes of her working for me.

I petted my husband and returned to the office some hours later. I had plans to confront her sister, one of my cooks. But she was nowhere to be found when I arrived. One of my staff members who was close to the said cook came to my office and told me that she once heard the Cook and her younger sister discussing how they would pin the girl's pregnancy on some unfortunate single or married man. If their family couldn't force the man to marry or take the girl as a second wife, they would make sure that he takes care of the unborn child for the rest of his life!

The cook and my P.A liked my husband so they decided to hatch out a plan, look for ways to seduce him, then pin the pregnancy on him once he had slept with the girl a few times.

Eh! Chi mo! Osanobua! Yesu! Eledumare oooooo! Look at trouble in all shapes and sizes!

So, this is how this woman and her younger sister wanted to repay me for my kindness? Why are people so evil minded? What is happening to the world as we know it? No wonder some organizations ask for medical reports before employing people. Ah! Chi mo, who did I offend? Who?

I swear, the day I see that cook and her sister anywhere near my business place, I will get them arrested and locked up!
I think I need to intensify my prayers for my husband.

God, every strange woman that is after Praise, may they lose their way before they get to him in Jesus name! May they never see him at all! May they go blind and may God cut their seductive hands short! I pray that Praise will always find a way of escape, like Joseph, whenever a Jezebel corners him. In Jesus name I pray.

Pray for us diary...
