I love my parents so much from the depths of my heart!! But my dad is a chronic gambler which I hate so much about him. he has been doing this for like over 20yrs now. We have sat him down to talk to him on several occasions but he refused to stop, even when my mum threatened to leave. I send 70k for both of them every month(40k for dad and 30k for mum)since December but my dad squanders his own in less than 2 weeks and be disturbing my mum for money.
Now I just sent them for the month of March but this time around, it is 50k for mum and dad 20k. I will continue reducing his own share and even eventually stop giving him if he continues to gamble.
As for my mum, she's the best woman in the world!(No flatteries). She's peaceful, calm, respectful, beautiful and most of all, lover of God. She's both a good mother to all of us and a good wife to my dad. I have been trying to find fault in my mum but cannot. My mum's kind are very rare. I say this with all sense of honesty!!

My mum is the best in the world ,unfortunately she left me last year at my 25th year, although I still vows to take good care of my dad because he loved me when I was still a kid and mostly I pray that God will give me a woman that will love me like my mum...

Parents today compare kids with their peers which is very wrong.. it can be demoralizing and can even initiate suicide.

After I finished school and things were hard, nobody dem no compare me with.. most especially my mother to the extent that sometimes I sit and think of what kind of mother she really is.. oh my friends son now works with Chevron you dey here you never still find your bearing... One of my friends son got a well paying job, got married and drives big Moto you dey here still dey struggle. She even compared me with Yahoo boys claiming they are "hustlers". It got to a stage I was like because of this woman I fit force myself go rob bank one day. Had to vacate the house for them and go look for somewhere else to live. I thank God today, all those years na history now.

As for my dad, that one na chief complainant. Nothing you go do wey fit impress am. He must surely find fault in it. I began to pity his health at a point because no day he no go complain. Petty things he could over look, he must complain. If he tell you make you carry blue pen come, he will still complain why you brought dark blue and not faint blue.. he's a type that will complain why the air he's breathing in ikotun market is not fresh like the one he breathe the last time he went to bar beach. (I'm just trying to give a clearer illustration of his character ) .. that's was how bad he was. Complain complain complain.. I dont even know if he's changed now coz it's been years I visited them at home. We only talk on phone and meet at parties and I send money to them once in a while.

My father will use too much shout and grammar to shut you up, especially when he knows you are telling the truth. He will also make reference to all the mistakes you made in the past to cow you. Then after a while,he will call you up and pretend that such a thing never happened. When you try to tell him about your feeling of what transpired the last time,he will start the shouting and grammar again and the circle continues for years on one matter.

First time I entered a plane going for Service 2006. She personally took my bills. Dad no send me!

I remember the first time I travelled out of the country, she didn't want me to go.. She wasn't comfortable with the Country I was going to. She discouraged me Totally. My mind was made up. I Prepared myself got my visa and Ticket.

Suprisingly, My Mom who was against my Travelling was the only person that drop some 500usd for me.. She was not even aroun but she dropped with my sis to give to me the day I was leaving!
