The San Antonio Food Bank distributed one million pounds of food to roughly 6,000 families in a single day as millions across the country turn to charity organizations to avoid going hungry amid coronavirus lockdowns.

Stunning aerial photos show thousands of cars lined up at Trader's Village in San Antonio, Texas, during the massive food distribution event on Thursday.

People are seen standing on their cars as they waited in line for hours to get their hands on food and other essentials.

The simple and saddest truth of this all is; black race cannot do this without a white race leading that nation.

The problem of Nigeria and other West, East and Central Africa has to do with the black race syndrome.

Nigeria need like 10 million white population positioned in top leadership, judiciary, security and other decision making positions to change Nigeria for good.

No Nigerian born black President or Governor or Senator or Minister can change Nigeria. No political party of black origin can change Nigeria.

Nigeria's problem is not Buhari, it is not Goodluck, it is not OBJ, it is not APC, it is not PDP, it is a collective black man genetic problem from origin cry

Black Americans are suffering same and if not for white man's leadership, black Americans would have destroyed America, France, etc.

Check other South America countries with blacks as dominant race, I am talking about Jamaica, Haiti, etc, they are worst than Nigeria, but their neighboring white nations are all doing fine, why Do they also have PDP and APC there

Dear Nigerians stop blaming Buhari, Buhari is not your problem, all Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria not just Buhari alone.

Like we av met in real life before..I tell you, there is something about the black skin that no matter the part of 5ge world they dominate..it automatically becomes a third world.

Volunteers prepare to pack boxes of food to be distributed to those in need at the Capital Area Food Bank in Washington, D.C., April 1.

This is exactly how it should be. The military is supposed to SERVE the civilians not TERRORIZE, unfortunately in Nigeria the latter is the case. People need to open their eyes and wake up.

There is corruption in America too, but if the level of blatant corruption in Nigeria were to occur in America, you will see millions march in massive protests in the millions, demands and boycotts. Politicians will continue to steal because the masses let them get away with it each time. The truth remains that Nigerians are very docile and want an easy way out. God will not come down and fight your battles for you if you are sitting on the sidelines waiting for a miracle.

Perhaps your grandparents and parents should go ask for free food then... grin grin grin
But if you are dodging paying taxes, you should not expect the government to give you free food paid for with my tax Naira.

In the US, they say that the only certainty in life is death and taxes (and of course the US taxes its citizens on their worldwide income, so Americans in Nigeria or anywhere else in the world still pay US taxes). Meanwhile, in Nigeria, if we are brutally honest with ourselves, we would acknowledge that only Nigerians under the PAYE payroll or other withholding tax regime dutifully (even if reluctantly) pay their taxes timely and in full.

Taxes are the obligation of citizenship (or residency). It is what gives you a voice and the moral right to make financial demands on government. In other words, it is the financial part of that vaunted social contract between the government and the governed. Unfortunately, in Nigeria, the oil windfall (that until relatively recently was produced by foreigners) has caused the government to become un-accountable to the citizenry since it does not rely on tax revenue paid by citizens, and has similarly caused the citizens to demand public services without bothering to pay for it.

Frankly, Nigerian tax dodgers are just as societally immoral as the government they criticize. Furthermore, they are effectively “stealing” from those of us who pay taxes whenever they access public services paid for by our taxes.
>
Ok agreed but let me ask..now the dutiful tax payers..how av the government rewarded Thier diligence in this trying period?or Thier records cannot be gotten too abi like those they were paying 20k to? Better go and repent for trying to defend that which is indefensible

They pay TAXES in America, which govts there use for stuff like this...
Over here, most people evade tax payment while waiting around to share "oyel" money.

These could also be PRIVATE food banks...
So anyone us here can follow their lead and organize one. grin
>

You are exactly correct. On one hand, Nigerians don't pay taxes and on the other hand how are people supposed to trust the government with their taxes if they are corrupt. It's a viscous cycle that doesn't end.

I have always said it and i have only come to confirm it further that we are not civilized humanbeings or decent in Nigeria and the fault is mannely from the government. They treat most Nigerians like we are either beggars or barbarians.

Our government is also civilized. U can't give what u don't have. The fact u control millions and billions doesn't mean ure civilized u can still have a cave man mentality and very backwards because u refused to change ure thinking. That's the postion of the Nigerian government.

60/70% of Nigerians are uncivilized YES, they will jump que, fight for food, make noise/disturbance in public or display one sm animalistic attitude, rather than the government set them straight and correct and organise them, teach them how to be civil, they make them more uncivilized with their own conduct or they dont care aslong as their family isn't disturbed by such nuisance.

U must have standards of operations and conduct as a government. Don't just do things anyhow.
