KINGS EPISODE 34 EPISODE TITLE- Fries place STILL ON DAY 5 A muscle twitched involuntarily at the corner of Caleb right eye, his mouth formed a rigid grimace. With arms folded tightly across his chest he tapped his foot furiously and all the while stared out of the window.... "We should act now dad...."He scowled spuning around to face his father..... Chief Miguel groaned, anger smouldering in his face... "If the king is alive, we have to do something..."Caleb said, his voice carrying a thread of rage that went beyond his keenness for the throne.. Jaw rooted.., chief Miguel brood over that moment he saw the king..., he remembered telling Ikoro something wasn't right.., if that was the king, why was him in that room and not the throne room... "I'm very sure that wasn't the king..."Chief Miguel mutter digging deep into the memory.. Caleb grit quite irritated with his father's confused state....."Dad, if you aren't sure, you have to go back there to check.." Chief Miguel flare his nose and quickly stood up from the chair and trot towards the window.... "If this is all Tiger's plan dad...."Caleb chimes in.."We have to know before taking the next line of action..." Chief Miguel sigh "You have to go back to the palace dad.., we don't know what that woman is planning , if her son is not back yet it means she's wants to surprise all of us..., if you ask me.., the easiest way out of this bullshit is by taking her out...." ********************** "I just learnt Borgias son is at the hospital..."Dario said dropping the phone to his side..., he trot towards Kess and once again sat across him as he had done before excusing himself to take the call... Kess hatred was plainly visible.., the urge of returning the favour Liam did to Dorathy is been what has been pricking his mind for the past two days..., he hated the DPO, hated the rest of the policemen for not doing anything to avenge her death.., she was a good officer..., she liked him and that pained him more.... "I don't have the full details of what took him there.."Dario chime into his thoughts...."But I think it's an operation gone wrong.." "He can die for all I care..."Kess growled bitterly.. Dario scoffs..."How are you doing officer ..?" He wasn't doing fine.., he knew that too well since he hasn't been able to sleep a wink since that painful and unforgettable experience.., that moment Dorathy exploded keep playing over and over in his head.., it was just like when Sonia died again.., the agony.., the depression holding over him like a fog... "I won't be fine until that bastard and his father are dead..."He replied, anger seething every part of him.. "Well it seems to me they're already paying...."Dario cut in, voice too gentle to fit in that painful moment...."If Liam dies.., Borgias might just kill himself...." "Or start a war..."Kess chided, maintaining the bleak resentment in his face...."He'll definitely turn this kingdom into a slaughter house..." "Sure..."Dario said and nib...."But I'm not sure he'll have time to think upon all that.., Liam is his backbone..., he loves him even more than any father would his son..., there's a strong connection between their two" "You seem to know very well about them..."Kess interjects leaning his back on the chair...."Where you friend's with him...?" Dario suck in..."I was friend's with everyone, when my family died.., they all avoided me.., I had to go into isolation..." "Is that why you stay here alone...?" "I'm staying alone because I want to..." "Yet there's nothing that happens outside this place that you don't know..., I'm beginning to think I'm talking to the Godfather..." Dario chuckle.."If I were the Godfather, you would know already..." "Would I...?" "Do you think I'm the Godfather...?" For a brief moment, he just sat staring at him and just when he was about opening his mouth, a buzzer alarm went off...., he look at Dario for the briefest of moment before Dario said the words out "Someone is out there...." Kess quickly stood up, gun in hand, he dashed off slowly towards the window..., he took a sneak look and saw someone.., a female gently approaching the door.., when Kess turn to face Dario.., the doorbell ring... Kess shush Dario and carefully walked towards the door not making a sound.., he glance at Chief Dario again before placing his hand on the door knob and pull it down... He watch her face him with the alertness of the creaking sound... "Mr Dario...."Miranda said pulling down her jacket hood... For a moment, Kess stood gazing at her wondering how such a beauty could possibly know the isolated crafty and dangerous man... "Who are you...?"Kess asked immediately putting his thoughts aside "I'm looking for this man..."She said showing him Dario's picture..."I asked some people, I was directed here.., do you know who he is?" Kess took the picture from her.., Dario was more younger in the picture than he is now.., he thinks the picture could have been taken years ago and this girl was probably someone from his past..... "What do you want from him..?"Kess queried giving the picture back... A slight irritation swept across Miranda's face.., her gaze caught the gun in his hand, though he was trying to hide it behind him but he wasn't doing a great job.., and she had come too far to start answering irrelevant questions.... "Do you know him or not...?"She fling back awkwardly and she was damn serious, if he doesn't, she'll just continue her journey..., earlier she was of the opinion of going to the palace to tell the queen her son is safe but she fears eyes are watching her..., she had manage to escape a man that was following her..., she had to silently convinced a woman to act like she was meeting her telling her someone was following her.., a man who was wooing her but she wasn't giving him ears.., she was happy the woman understood quickly and urshered her in.., she stayed in the woman's house for what looked like an eternity but was just a few minutes... Kess frown at her clipped words and was about to retort her words when Dario's voice slain his words rendering him speechless... "Chief Dario..."Dario corrected approaching them... Kess nib and turn to face Dario with a look that was hot enough to burn through metal... "And who might you be..?"Dario added stopping to propelled his hands behind him A ball of excitement engulfed Miranda as her eyes flickered from the picture to the man standing before her..... "I've journey from far to see you..."She said, heart aching with joy.. Dario widened his eyes.. "I'm Miranda..."She said walking past Kess to get closer to Dario...."My mother gave me this picture of you a long time ago..." Dario took the picture from her hands and looked at it.."This is an old picture..., can't quite remember the people I gave it to.." Miranda gasp at the beginning of disappointment....."She told me you would help me if I come to you.." When Dario raise his brow like the words were music to his ears.., Miranda realise her coming here was a total waste of time... "Agnes.."She said..., her voice coming out harsh rather than the softness it once possessed..."That was my mother's name..., does it ring a bell...?" Dario shrugged...."I knew many Agnes in the past...." Miranda bit her lips so tight that she felt the pain making waves in her body..."Then it's been a waste of time coming here..."She said bitterly and wasted no time in turning around to walk away.. "Wait..."Dario mutter stopping her.... Miranda grunts and turn around to face him... "What help do you need from me..?"He asked Miranda struggle with complicating thoughts, a part of her was seriously screaming at her to walk away why another part of her wants her to stay.., to trudge on until she gets him to do what she wants.... "I'm looking for someone..."She said.., her hatred for the man that made her life a Shit hole sliding into her voice "Who..?"Dario asked "The Godfather..." Shock, Kess glance at Dario before his eyes flickered to her..., curiosity on how she knew the Godfather beating on him... "How did you know about the Godfather..?"Kess asked curiously She flick her angry eyes to him but Kess wasn't moved..... "I want to find him.."She said ignoring Kess question "And you think I can help you with this...?"Dario asked "I have a clue..."She said..."But I don't know what it means yet..." "What clue..?"Dario asked Her eyes moved from him to Kess then to him again..., she wasn't sure if to tell him or just leave..but she is here, she came for this...."Two days ago.., someone tried to kill me...." Kess huffs and his eyes caught the bruise at the corners of her mouth and eyes.., he hasn't even noticed she had a wound until she spoke about someone trying to kill her... "He told me the one with the trojan horse is the Godfather..." "That could be anything...."Dario said "I know..."She replied sharply..."But I believe this is a clue.., if you don't know who the Godfather is, this might help us in finding him..." "Maybe he said it to taunt you.."Kess cut in... When she reverts her gaze to him, Kess nearly flinched.... "He was about killing me.."She retorted...."So I don't think he said it to taunt me..." "Trojan horse was a nickname to the man who first rode a horse in this land.."Dario said... "Could he be the Godfather..?"She asked anxiously "That was fifty years ago..., both the man and the horse are dead.." Miranda curl her lips at the dead end..."What about the man's house.., I also think the trojan horse could be a place..." Dario sigh then he turn around and walk inside the house.., Kess and Miranda followed suit... Miranda ignored the strange stench of the house and rather fused her eyes on him... "The man's house was demolished after his death since no one came to claim it after a long time.., the king took the house as his.., so he brought it down with heavy machines and built a market..." "So that place is now a market...?"Kess ask Dario sigh again...."If someone told you the one with the trojan horse is the Godfather, he wasn't necessarily telling you the Godfather owns a horse..., trojan horse in the 20th century was used to defeat troy..., so if someone is using it ...., then he must be protecting something valuable..." "So it's a place..."Miranda said "No it's a coded message, one it's true meaning was encrypted " "Can we decrypt it...?"Miranda asked sharpily "If we have the key it was encrypted with, yes we can decrypt it..." "The what are we waiting for.."Miranda said agitated ******************** Kess heart raced with shock when Dario opened a room and switch on the light.., Kess Stare at the exposed wooden beams in the walls, tool benches down both sides, microscopes, arc welder, circuit boards, microchips, wires, bare lightbulb dangles from wire, homemade computer with two monitors balanced on two wooden planks between two metal drums, jumble of computer parts in a box, assortment of metal items reclaimed from electronic junk...., he quickly turn to face Dario all the while wondering who he really is.. "It's been a while since I've been here..."Dario said before pulling down a changeover and everything in the cmroom whirled to life..... "You know computers...?"He asked Miranda... Miranda nodded and without questions, she grab a wooden chair and sat in front of one of the computers... "Enable the javascript language and open the monolithic version.." Heart pulsating, Miranda did as she was told...."What next.."She asked curiously staring at the page... "Paste the enciphered message into the cipher text box...." It took her a moment to find it.., when she did, she quickly type in 'trojan horse'.." "It won't work.."Kess cut in...."The words are camouflage, what if it's numerical...." Dario looked his way.., before he glance back to face Miranda, she had already pressed the decode option... "It said password..."Miranda said looking back at them Dario sigh...."Try Godfather..." "Incorrect...."Miranda blare out looking at them again.. "Well there is no way we'll get the password..."Kess boom out.. Miranda flick her gaze from him to Dario.... "What makes a person to use a particular word as a password..?"Dario asked "Some people used their names.."Kess said.. "Some nicknames.."Miranda added Dario heaved a deep sigh...."Or some use what they possessed and what they're trying to possess" "It doesn't make sense.."Kess said "It does..."Dario replied...."What is the Godfather after....?" "Death.."Kess said awkwardly Heart beating in her ears.., Miranda turn to face the computer and type throne into the box..., she nearly dropped on the floor when it came out Incorrect "Try 7 15 4- 6 1 20- 8 5 18 ..."Dario said Miranda hesitated before she type it in.., to their greatest surprise, it showed successful.... "How did you know that....?"Kess asked immediately.. "They're the letter numbers of Godfather..." "Guys..."Miranda called out looking at the only displayed words in the computer...."The result is Fries place..., what the hell is that..?" Kess and Dario exchange glances... "Do you know there..?"She asked "Fries place is a restaurant not too far from here...."Kess said. "You think that's where the Godfather is hiding..?" Dario gulp a dry lump in his throat...."Why would the Godfather be hiding in a restaurant...?" ******************* He clutched furiously at his chest, hoping that by a scratch or simple graze, his heart would stop racing, and his body just might entirely shut down causing his clarity....and just then he opened his eyes.... "Son..."Chief Borgias blare out rushing to his side He try to open his mouth to talk.., Chief Borgias quickly pulled the oxygen from his mouth.. "Son.."He mutter again...
