Hunger is bad. SA government should assist them.

SA government has done a lot for her people. The problem is that there's only so much that government can do. Private groups are also helping but it's not enough. Most people don't understand that adjustment is needed in periods like this. They still want to live life the way they've been living before the lockdown. Looting of big supermarkets already started including shops of foreigners in the township. This isn't xenophobic... it's hunger plus criminality just like the 'one million boys' of Lagos. The earlier the lockdown is lifted the better the sanity of the masses... Nigeria's case will be worst as the day go by.

Hungry Mofo's

They will start looting foreigners homes and stores anytime soon.

They are already doing that my brother. I live here in Johannesburg, they are breaking into foreign shops and bottle stores stealing alcohol.

I don't understand how this people reason. I guess it's because the government doesn't punish them for all this nonsense.

I know in Naija, if you break into somebody's shop and you were caught. Then prepare to meet your maker. Na shoot aside offense be that. Here in South Africa, their human right activists will justify the whole thing and back them up

I never see this kain nonsense reasoning for my life

Take heart Africans.

It is only a matter of time.

Together, we will overcome this pandemic.

The pandemic is not even the main issue... It's the very least of our issues.

It has merely exposed us all for the poor or lack of leadership we have been suffering for years in silence!!!

That's why total lockdown without provision for the poor is insensitive and stupid.

I'll tell you sincerely that criminality is more of the problem in SA than the hunger. The government pays them grant monthly. Among those going for the looting are those who can afford to buy those things they're looting. The homeless including street kids(equivalent of agberos and almajiris) were taken off the streets to a secured area by the government. They're sheltered, fed and clothed with security around them. They've done more than Nigeria can ever do for her people.

Should you deserve my response:

No intelligent persons or people ever worn a war with acidic emotions. They'll always be defeated even by weaker entities.
Pick up a relevant history book.

Bottomline, misdirected emotional acid will perpetually position you at the bottom of the foodchain.
