Congratulations Mamabigboy, I am happy you got your 15 points from experience.

To answer your questions
1. You can go ahead as MLT, there is no disadvantage per say, only that MLT is not on MTSOL meaning you won't get 189 nomination with it. However, writing the exam is up to you. If you want to go for 189 you can prepare and write the exam, many of Medical Laboratory Scientists had taken and passed the exam so you can do it if you can devote time and prepare for the exam, it will only set you back some thousands of dollars.

2. Those are no issue. While filling your EOI, endeavour to use same details on your assessment report. Pls don't alter anything so as not to warrant unnecessary CO contacts.

Just creat your EOI and wait for July

Mamabigboy:
Good day everyone. I hope we are good and keeping safe.
I received a scanned assessment result letter from AIMS this morning, they had earlier sent the original copy which got stuck in God knows country due to COVID19 pandemics. The outcome of my assessment fetched me 10 years 2 months experience as a Lab technician.
Thanks to everyone who answered my questions on this platform, most especially @tunlex01 and @Bellong, God bless you, I appreciate it. I will need a lot of clarifications and guidance during the course of this journey, I hope you guys will be there to put me through.
My questions now are as follows:
1.To anyone who sat for AIMS exam, was it really worth it, or I should just maintain Lab technician?
2. I have an overlap in the start&end dates of employment at two places of work. I used my terminal leave at workplace A to resume at workplace B giving an overlap of days, how do I justify this during application?
Best regards

thanks for your reply sir....but am not sure i have that much time cause am already 30yrs and am awre of the age advantage
plus the online store i have i can only generate payment records cause i get paid weekly....i have konga and jumia...can that work?
tunlex01:

First you have to choose an occupation to nominate and any occupation you choose you must have documents to back it up.
Since you just registered you business, I'm not sure if that will work cos many years would be lost.
Now that you have registered your business, remember to pay your taxes and other regulatory fees. That may work for you in few years to come

Please explain,

I do not understand what is needful.

Like others, would marriage better my chances? Will a P.gd increase my chances? Should I rewrite IELTS? Which stream is best for me - 190 OR 491? Are there other occupations I can claim?

B.sc is NOT Unilag.

Please and please advise.

Find an occupation that is closely related to any of the below mentioned.
Also, these Occupations are Skill Level 1, your BSc have to be from a Tier 1 university or 5 years program. If not, unless you find an occupation under skill level 2, I'm afraid you'll have to look for other alternatives.

Which occupation do you plan to nominate? Having online records does not translate into registration or tax clearance.

Check the occupation list to see the occupation you can nominate.
Visit www.anzscosearch.com
On the top middle page click "Lists" (on a laptop/computer) or click the Hamburger sign (3 horizontal lines) to select "Lists" if you are using a mobile device
Go through the 3 lists MLTSSL, STSOL and ROL
Click any of the occupations that best relate to what you do.
When you click the occupation, scroll down to 'Anzsco code' and scroll to 'Tasks'
Check if the tasks relate to the occupation you have selected.
Revert here with occupation(s) you deem relate to what you do and we will take it up from there

In simple terms
Level 1 occupations
-- only 4 or 5 year degrees from OAU, UI, Unilag and Futa are allowed
-- only 5 year degrees from other Universities will fly.

Level 2 occupations and below - any degree or Diploma

P.S. there are few assessing bodies that does not follow this rule.

2. Marriage will better your chance if your spouse has skilled occupation that can be assessed positively and a good score in IELTS.
If not, get your points yourself and get your spouse to write English test only.

Single 10 points
Married with positive assessment + IELTS 6 or 50 in PTE - 10 points
Married with only IELTS 6 or 50 in PTE (no/negative assessment) - 5 points
Married with no assessment or English - 0 point

3. Pgd ---not at all

4. 190 is State Permanent resident visa
491 is not a PR visa, you will only be able to apply for PR after 3 years that you have landed. Read more online or on Immigration website.

5. Go thru the list on www.anzscosearch.com/search for all list of occupation

Apply to Vetassess as HPO while you and your spouse prepare for English test.

Age: 30
Experience: 0
Education: 15
English: 10 or 20 (depending on your score)
Spouse: 5
Total: 60 or 70

Additional points from 491 will give you 75/85 points while 190 will give you 65/75.

You stand a chance if you can act fast.
Your MSc is what you need for your assessment with Vetassess as HPO, although you still need to provide your bachelors which does not equate to public health degree.
However, veatasses will deduct one year from your experience counting from when you finished your msc.

Gather your documents, transcripts, master degree award certificate, reference letters from your NGO detailing your duties as a HPO and some evidence of payment like Tax, payslip and bank statement.

Go for tour English exam, preferably PTE and score 73 in all sections or better aim for 20 points.

What's your experience and which occupation are you nominating?
Most states are not sponsoring for 190 especially for offshore while the 189 is for high pointers. So 491 is your best option. You may still get 190 but don't rely only on it

For PRP, you will need to use your Msc and BSc while only experience after the date on your Msc certificate will be approved by Vetassess.
Same goes for IOP (nec)
see the description on Anzsco website.

Description

This unit group covers Information and Organisation Professionals not elsewhere classified. It includes Electorate Officers, Liaison Officers, Migration Agents (Aus) / Immigration Consultants (NZ) and Patents Examiners.

Dentist is on the ROL list and thus, not even available for 190 nomination.

Have you checked other occupations like Dental technician, Dental specialist or Dental Prosthetist?
