I waa very stubborn when I was little and there was a day she said she should have flushed my pregnancy out and that am a bastard. Well i packed my load and left home for 2 months but money finish and I had to go back home. She apologized and everything was cool.

Mum sent me for an errand during Popsy's burial and I wanted to give her an excuse. Then, she quickly responded before all the people present "You know you have never been useful to me since I gave birth to you". I was shocked beyond words cause no guy in my family looks after her like I do.
I pray that memory leaves my mind.

Well my mum loves us so much she hasn't really said anything hurtful to me except for my aunt whom I will never forget the bitter words she used on me most times.

I dont mind how painful her words may be... I'll always love her down to my last breath... she's a fighter and a true defination of love. No woman on this earth can be compared to her ... even after cursing and all that she asks God for forgiveness and blesses her children... she does everything for love and my only prayer for her is for Almighty God to strengthen and keep her alive to eat the fruit of her hard labour since dad passed away, cause she's my life.. Some people are finding their healing here by posting all that ...when others send them encouraging words, it heals them. They are alive and their well being matters, biko.
They are hurt but still find the heart to say”I forgive her...I know she loves me... etc” either because they really believe it or because they need to feel less guilty for “exposing” their mom. They need to affirm their love for her and justify her harshness towards them.
Either way, don’t trivialise what they feel, maybe because you don’t have their stories/feel the way they do?

My mum is fond of using abusive and painful words on me, it even got to the point that I don't tell her my problems , I rather keep it to my self, because she will use it against u on any slightest provocation , I've gotten used to her abusive words to the extent that ones she start shouting I will put on my ear phones and play loud music ...upon all this sha.
