From the comments I read on this thread it shows some Nigerians actually love their country and wish to see it work. I wouldn't blame the mess we are in entirely on the leaders in fact 85% of the blame would be on we the masses. Come 2023 you would hear something like he is hausa/fulani man, he is a faithful Christian and other gibberish... Talk about merit? Talk about changing the constitution to allign with current global challenges? We would just argue on our keyboards and go back to sleep hoping to wake up to a Nigeria we didnt create!!!
That is why the so called leaders themselves are not aliens. They are everyday Nigerians that got voted into power. They are just a reflection of the larger society.

I'm not even defending the people managing the country, what I'm saying is Nigeria is a poor country, if Nigeria pays common 5k to like 40 million people, it will get broke and would be unable to pay workers salary.

Iran you're mentioning is also richer than Nigeria by far. Its one of the biggest producers of oil and natural gas. The Suez canal that almost half of world oil passes through is located in iran. So its a very rich country.
Oga you be mumu. Nigeria is the richest country on earth. Western countries are debt shitholes. Everything you see in America and Canada is a debt trap. The net worth of most Americans and Canadians are in the negative. The average Nigerian is richer than middle class Americans who will die and be buried with funeral loans

$2600 is not a lot of money if you live in Canada. How long will it take you to spend that .

If you will no longer return to Nigeria because of that amount, I sympathize with your situation.
It is not a one time payment

Doubting Nigerian Thomas, You don't need to be a citizen here in United States to Receive the $1200 stimulus package, all you need is to be legal resident that has an SSN and files in your annual tax returns and not all citizens and legal residents even qualified to get the stimulus package from the US government since there are some exemptions especially defaulters of child support payments while Canada even goes an extra mile to provide for even those that are not legal residents in their country.

You should have just said doubting Thomas. You sound derogatory.

Hope you are not in anyway thinking you are better off than anyone here (except of course those with inferiority complexes and low self-esteem), just because you are a second class citizen in the US?

Nobody asked our parents and grandparents to dey fcukk like dogs and over populating the country.

The problem of Nigeria is the population. We have money. A country with a budget annually of 26$B is not a moi-moi country but for a population of 200m plus and counting, it's a joke for such a country to thrive.

Educated couples should know better, 2 at most 3 kids or even one or none should be the planning. If we must save Nigeria, we must learn to keep our joysticks in our pants and not produce everytime we have sex.

Nigeria is rich but not rich enough to cater for 200m people.

Yes you are right, no country is 10/10 but Canada is 9/10 and your own zoo is 1/10 and that's why you are jealous of the guy. You wish it was you that got that 600k. Yes they had a mass shooting where just 15 people died but your own police force not a criminal has killed more than 15 people during the lockdown. In Canada some people don't lock the door of their house because it is that safe. Why can't you copy the Canadians by telling your girlfriend not to lock the door of her house at night in your zoo country and let's find out if she will not be raped 3 times before dawn.

It's good that there are no mosquitoes in your village so that has been taken care of. But what of your poverty stricken girls that sell their body for money to buy indomie? Try to convince your female compatriots that are prostitutes not to attempt to relocate to Canada so that they can live with you in your village where there are no mosquitoes.

You are a toothless bulldog like your compatriots.

Nairalanders! The op is a new and upcoming comedian, he definitely has talent. One of his best jokes here on nairaland is that the average Nigerian is richer than middle class Americans.

You are a dunce. What you posted even stated it clearly. Maximum of 16 weeks (4 periods).
English comprehension problems much.

Period dates could be staggered for those in-and-out of jobs but still to a maximum of 4 periods.

So typical, now you are playing the victim card and making up all manner of assumptions which is a reflection of your mindset and ideology.

Why would you doubt someone that shared his story?
Don't you know it is upsetting to make up thing's even when you don't have the full facts?

You made me call you doubting Thomas because that is exactly what you did with your response and I still can't see the relevance of your comments above to the subject in discuss which means you are simply projecting yourself on me because thats who you are if not then your response was completely off topic.
