These lecturers are very corrupt. They have multiple accounts. Many of them teach in private universities too and draw salaries from there in breach of federal civil service laws. That's why they are resisting application of BVN and IPPIS .

I had always wondered what the big deal was in registering for the ipps; after all other civil servants are registered there and they get their salaries without issues.

If the FG has been giving them their full entitlement from day one, it won't result to this issue going on. These men have so much responsibilities and most of them had to look for another means of revenue

So much fraud to cover in the Universities payrolls.

Ghost lecturers, lecturers earning from 2 or more Universities etc. That's why they are resistant to a simple thing like providing their BVN.

With this ground standing of ASUU not providing BVN for payment of their salary it's obvious ASUU members have multiple jobs making it difficult for people without jobs to have job.

ASUU members needs to free up the space so that other unemployed Nigerians can be employed as lecturers instead of lecturing in multiple universities and drawing multiple salaries.

I had a lecturer that taught me during my post graduate days he was lecturing in my university in Port Harcourt and also lecturing in Benue state at the same time, one week in Port Harcourt two weeks in Benue.

These are the universities i know, i am pretty sure he has more universities he's lecturing.

Our government is wicked. Just hear what they saying. This is a lockdown time. The money was actually paid to cushion the effect of this lockdown, why can we be merciful to ourselves...
They resolved to use the weapon of hunger to finish the lecturers....
God will judge

OK.
But come to think of it o, this BVN thing is flawed. It is flawed in the sense that one man can still have multiple bvn attached to multiple accounts. Just do it across different banks and claim you were unbanked or without account hitherto. As long as the fingerprints aren't fed into a supercomputer that checks every account holder against all other existing account holder, it is highly flawed.

Not possible

CBN issues BVN and not deposit money banks. They'd have to send everything including fingerprint to CBN before a BVN is issued.

Na FG still go bend last.

From IPPIS to BVN not made available.
See as the FG has been shifting base.

Only the ASUU has the scrotum of the Federal government in its hand to squeeze anyhow it likes.

FG is just been nice to them as nobody is indispensable, they will soon regret the action. Put yourself in position of FG as an employer to employee and what should be your action after exhausting all options. Be sincere to yourself.

They should feel the heat.... These were the lecturers that called out the results and they were professors and they helped rigged election for the incumbent.....

If this was GEJ's regime.... By now, their strength and loud mouth would've been observed on the stupid strikes and threats....

Coronavirus and stayhome hunger have dealt with them... They're now bowing to the pressure.....

Buhari should delay their salary for another two months....

Not sure this is a big deal here.
Give them your BVN and get paid. Simple!

I think the BVN is a backdoor way to enroll them to IPPIS since the BVN system has the fingerprint and other details of the BVN holder.

Lecturers don't want to provide their BVN... its not Like they don't have.
I think BVN is an Integral Step in enrolling in the IPPIS Platform.
