Mine

There was a guy selling goods online, he advised me on how lucrative the business was and told me I will be ordering shoes from China and resell at a great price here. He told me a site and said he will be the one to do the process.

To cut it short, I gave him 30k for 8 shoes, this guy says them don lockdown and hin don send money before them lockdown. I dey wait small time before i go arrest am.

A man scammed me of a #100,000 the year 2014 while I was running a poultry farm in PH. Mehn! it was a great loss. I still cannot tell his whereabouts to date. Bros i went to eat in a booker along Eneka road, nai d bros walk in too seated in a table opposite mine. innocent me I just order my Okazi soup and Loi Loi nai d bros approach me that he is into fish pond construction that he traveled all the way to Cameroun to learn the trade and that his Pond is not the tarpaulin pond or rubber drum pond but casted one with a 3 inches block designed with a tinny rod that the pond is moveable and it can last for more than 20years. Oboy he brought out one small Samsung phone with one amateur video of Catfish in one kind funny looking pond to set me up and make me believe his story I said okay bros once we finish our food make we stroll reach my farm to know how many of the ponds you can construct for me. Gbam! as we entered my farm the guy confirm say nor be small project I get for my hand so' but he would have advised I go for the fish before my Chicks grows to maturity, that he would advise I build 4 ponds first for a start then as times goes on I can then add more...
Na so we exchanged numbers and he became my "Fish Pond Engineer" after exchange of calls like 4-5 occasions nai bros tell me to ready cash that he just placed orders for my pond construction materials ooo that in 3 days time the materials will arrive from LAG. I said okay if so lemme just wire him cash to make things easy for him, my people i nor know say na one chance I don enter. Na so i started calling my Pond Engineer to know how far if my pond has arrived PH oo day one pass, day two-story upon story. em, we one go buy cement mixer cos d one we carry along is faulty. em, I still dey Lagos road. As in after two weeks with all this plenty excuses eh! I have been SCAMMED. Though it's been a while now, the picture still plays on my Head was yesterday like it. I transfer 100k to him through EcoBank the name he gave me was Joshua Awhe from Delta state

Have been scammed so many times even in nairaland here, because of fixed match. But on a serious note, are there fixed match?

So una dey fall for that fixed match guy.

Lolllll.

Thas why the guys never stops opening accounts.

Back to that micheno scam

So groups formed among people who were scammed and one guy who claimed to be a lawyer or something started making case for the group.

Next thing na contribute 2k for movement to Ph where the fraud started. People started dropping cash. After that 1k then 5k for serious people.

I just tagged along didnt drop anything till they moved to a second telegram group saying they are spies who havent paid to report back to the micheno guy on what we were doing. That's how I got kicked out of the telegram group.

This guy had the guts to say he has taken the case to the national assembly to pass a bill to refund money or some crap like that.

I just dey laugh as desperate investors wanted thier money back and were paying the second fraudster.

I dont know how it ended but that was before election last year. He now said that new members have been made into the committee so start afresh.

Lol

I don free the bar since no looking back again though I would.loce to hear from anyone who continued with the group if it ended well.

Micheno I hail una

Some years back I was very in need of work, there's this guy that runs cyber cafe I used to do photocopy and stuff in his shop. One day as usual I went there to do photocopy and one talk led to another he asked where I worked I told him, he know the company and how poor the pay is and zero employment benefits, so he asked me if I would like to work in Julius Berger which he showed me his ID card that he's a staff there and he told me a lot of mind blowing things working in Julius Berger assures, I was wowed at hearing these goodies so my interest was instant like I wanted to start work that day. Then I just got into adulthood, the guy knew over happiness will make me do anything. So he asked me to bring my CV which I have lost, so he helped me prepare another one, his printer was bad he had to take me to another cyber cafe to finish the job, all that care has now made build trust and confidence in him. When we got back that evening the first taxing began, he said he was thirsty for beer I should buy him and I did, we went to a beer parlour close by he drank 2bottles that day, we exchanged contacts and he said he will call me and assured that I will most assuredly get the job as I was going through him. Some days later he called that the company has selected people and I was among that the selected persons will converge at the main bustop in my area that the staff bus will carry everyone to the head quarters in ijora for interview and health test that I should come out very early, it got to the date but I couldn't make it there early enough, when I got there I called him that I was there but I came a little late the bastard acted like he was disappointed and was saying things like "why didn't u come early naw, now I would have to do a lot of explaining to the man that is helping us" and then he said I should wait he's coming, and then he came some minutes later, he acted like he was confused and doesn't know what to do and then he asked if I had some cash on me and I certainly came prepared for any disappointments that may occur, he then asked me to buy ampiclox from a nearby pharmacy around that it will clear any bacteria In my body so I'll pass the test and I did as instructed, and then he asked if I had enough cash that we will go by commercial transport as we've missed the staff bus. We got to Julius Berger gate, he asked me to stay outside that the security guards can arrest me for trespassing, he went inside and then came out like half an our later and then called me in, we went in and ask me to sit down at one concrete and he went inside one office and later came out that the interview and test had been cancelled, I felt like killing him but he was my ticket home coz the cash with me will not carry me home, I told him so, we now had to wait for the evening bus conveying staffs to our location, it was hell for me that day as I fell sick as a result of the ampiclox I took that morning on empty stomach, I fell very ill that evening(did I mention he collected 2k from me before we went to ijora).
To cut story short this guy played me like PS3 till he collected up to 7k before my ancestors probably slap my brain and my senses connect again and I backed out, already the guy had collected my new London used blackberry curve 7 and gave me his bb voltron or wat did they call that bb dat looked like coco yam that he needed to be in contact with the person employing staffs. Kai if I'm remembering that whole story I'll just want to use pestle and factory reset my brain one more time so I don't fall such mugu again.

I don't know if to call it a scam or robbery. Two years ago in Alabama international market, I was there to buy speakers for my deck, I got to this particular shop, I saw these two lovely speakers, I priced it, the guy told me is 8k for both speakers, I begged him to allow me pay 5k, after much bargaining he agreed, he brought out his receipt, he filled his own part and gave it to me to sign, I too immediately signed it. He collected the 5k and gave me only one speaker, I became angry, I said I paid for two things you gave me only one, the guy told me that, that is what my money can afford. At this point, I took another look at the receipt only for me to see that the quantity the guy wrote on the receipt was one speaker not two and I have already signed it. I became ashamed of myself, I don't know anybody in the area, I can't go to police station to make complain because the signature had already knocked me down. The only thing I could do was begging the guy. After much argument, the argument got the attention of the people. Few people came to interfere. To cut the long story short. I had to add extral 1k before the guy released the second speaker. The leson i learnt from that experience is to always take a good look at any receipt before putting your signature.

Another scam I suffered in the same market. I bought a DVD disk that contains Jacky Chan movies. But when play the disk on my DVD player, only for me to see a white preaching from the beginning to the end of the disk

Similar thing happened to me years ago at Oshodi market when i was still young and naive. I bargained for a shoe and the seller collected money from me, only for him to give me just one shoe and when i asked for the other he said my money was not complete and i should go with the one shoe like that. I requested for my money back but he refused. I ended up paying much more than i would normally have paid just to collect the other shoe.
This can never happen to me now as i don old and we go die there together

If there would ever be a purge I would go and purge on my scammer and his family . It happened to me few years ago in the UK I saw a mercedes truck on gumtree I contacted the seller and book appointment to see the truck , I travelled like 300 miles then saw the truck just as it was advertised I was driven in the truck as a test drive I saw all the paper work then paid for it .I cant drive the truck cos I dont have license to drive it and alot of paper work must be on a vehicle before you can drive it . So I told them I will come with a driver in few days to pick up the vehicle . When I got there on the stated day I couldn't find the truck and the guy said to me one guy came to pick up the truck yesterday and he said I sent him and the guy presented all the paperwork of the vehicle they gave to me . The guy even turned it on me that am trying to scam him I got the police involved it happened almost 4 years ago up till now no vehicle and nothing from police . My money just disappeared . Have been buying vehicles from different dealers and always go back and pick it up never had this problem I learnt from that day that some Oyinbo are scammers .

This your story confuse me.

You are the seller of the diesel abi?

So why will he want you to transfer to his account whereas he is one who is supposed to transfer to your account assuming say he bought something from you?

What actually happened is that he called us to do the supply and on getting there we discovered that he was a middle man as he asked me not to issue our invoice and that the payment will be made through him,but the desperation in the way he was pressuring that the money be paid into his account aroused our suspicion that he was not real and our fear turned out to be true as he refused to show his face at the place.

I went to onitsha market (Emeka Ofor) to fix my laptop's screen, the guy I met said he wasn't having the screen at that moment and asked if I could wait.
I was on my way to Enugu and there was no way I could wait, so we agreed he should buy the laptop. We agreed on 30k, a laptop I bought for 104k that only had inks on the screen and all i intended was to buy a new screen for it.
Like the 30K price wasn't bad enough, I agreed only for him to tell me he was going to scan some internal faults of the system and he said he was going to charge 10 naira or so per unit (I can't remember the exact things he said because it's been like 2 years it happened). I didn't see the 10 naira as issue, after he was done scanning my PC, he told me the total charge for the scanning was 19k. I don't know how he did it, but he showed me everything on his screen. I couldn't argue with him because there were plenty scary looking guys around and that was my first time there. This guy sha paid me 11k for my brand new HP15 that only had little black inks on its screen.
My first time in the East taught me a great lesson.
(No tribal pun intended)

I feel you jare, bloody idiots, it's all part of life's experiences, if you're ever in that situation again, change am for the person...all those things he showed you was scam.

Someone from binomo investment company hacked my IG account.
At first, the person asked if I've heard of binomo investment and I said yes but I have no money to start so they said they will send me 40k but I will have to follow their instructions then I replied okay..

The person later asked for my Instagram login details and the code sent to my Gmail which I gave to them.

In my mind I thought they needed that information to confirm that their money wouldn't be stolen that was why I gave out those vital information so as to start the investment.

Few minutes later,I saw that my email, password and mobile number has been changed and now I can't access my Instagram account.

Below is the Instagram page of the hacker.
My original username is ossomjessieee
The person changed it to ossomjeieee

Please what can I do to retrieve my account??

Before now,I didn't link my Facebook with my Instagram

Hmmmm Bad experience whenever I remember March 6th and 9th 2012. I will never forget the Bad experience in my life. I just came out from Skye Bank in Adeniran Ogunsaya Surulere Lagos. When I reached Bode Thomas, the guy approached me that he is new in the area, that his Papa is sick, and wanted to sell something to one yemkem to take care of him, I told him I don't know the place, as we were discussing one guy just came around which I later find out they were together, that we should help the guy, didn't know what came over me that day, believe me I was took from Surulere down to Mushin area in Ìdí Árábà ọn The same Bike ó, when we got there I saw something like 15 hefty guys smoking, that is when I knw that My Egungun don reach express and Trailer don Jam am... They collected 51k from me, my two phones my wrist watch, my Atm cards, and asked for my Pin, they actually delayed me and went to bank to withdraw my money, but later came back that I gave them wrong Atm pin, they gave me 500 naira for Tfare to go withdraw the remaining money in my acc for them, I didnt get my self, not until the bike man I called to take me to bank told me that I should not go back to the place again, before my eye clear. No one is perfect though, because one of my friend I told the story then said it will never happened to him that I loose guard, believe me after some months our landlord sent the guy to send 80k to his son in Sch, but thank God for him, he entered their trapped after he had already deposited the money. They only collected his phone and 1k.
The worst part of my story is that after that on the 6th of March I still lost my job 3 days aftewhich is 9th of March 2012...I will never forget these two days in mai life 6th and 9th of March 2012.

PS: No one is perfect if they go scam you they go scam you, but we still need to they use our head though.

Funny scam when I was still a child.

Mine happened a long time ago. However, I still remember it crystal clear cuz it taught me some deep lessons.

I schooled in a religious school, back then in Sokoto, Mamman Barkeji Nursery and Primary School. In my Primary 3, I got first position for the first time and became the class prefect. Normally, girls started coming closer to me. I also reciprocated their kind gesture. There was this beautiful girl who came second that term. She was taller then most of us, had a pointed nose, and a very wonderful smile. I think her name was like Henuwell.

Naturally, I liked her. After school one day, a friend of mine, Musa, came to me and told me that she liked me and that she wanted to be my friend and would need some money. Mind you, I was about 7 years old then oh. Happily, I have him the little I has on me, about 10 kobo (not too sure about this since was around 6 or 7 then.).

The next day, during the morning assembly, he told me that she was very grateful and that she loved me for that. My head began to swell. He asked whether I had some more money for her that it would make her love me the more. Unfortunately, I didn't have any with me, but I promised him that I would get it for him the next day. My people, that was how I started stealing the small change from our children's purse that was kept in my parent's room. I stole the N 25 that was there and gave it to the boy. Everyday, I got one new love story or another from the girl about how she was thinking of me, how she loved me better than any other boy, etc through Musa. grin

On one Monday morning, nemesis decided to pursue and catch up with me. I went into the Children's purse and lo and behold, only N 500 note was left there. Without thinking twice, I took the money and kept it in my bag. When it was time for us to go, my dad told us to enter his vehicle so that he could pick up our neighbours and drop us all at school. I really don't know what happened, but when he came out of the room, he came out with an empty bag of Children's money and began to ask for the thief. All of us initially denied it. Then my mom joined him and began to beg us to open up. By that time, I was already shaking. That was how I confessed and got serious beatings from both my parents. I cried and cried and cried. It was really painful. After some time, my parents stopped and bundled me inside the car.

As soon as we got to school, they told the Headmaster and I went for the morning assembly. The first thing that Musa asked when he saw me was whether I came with the money. At that point, the pain I was feeling was more than my love for Henuwell and I told him to leave me alone. As soon as the assembly was dismissed, my class teacher called me to kneel down under the tree for stealing from my parents. I then told him that it was because of Musa and Henuwell.

When both of them came, Musa couldn't look at me. As the man was about to punish both of them, the girl shouted that she didn't know anything about it. That was when Musa confessed that he didn't even talk to the girl and that he was using the money I gave him for himself. You need extra beatings I received that morning. Musa was called a criminal, was terribly beaten and got seriously punished throughout the whole day. They even asked reported him to his parents.

To crown it all, about a week later, I learnt that Henuwell actually really loved me and wanted to be my good friend. embarassed

The next term, I left that school.

That was how I was scammed.
This stuff happened about 16 years ago, but funny enough, as I was typing this, I could still visualise Henuwell's face. wink

Edit: For those asking about the 10 kobo I gave Musa, like I said initially, I don't exactly remember the actual value, but I know it was the change I had on me which was a coin. grin

Also, N 500 note was in existence as at 2003/2004 cool

Whether true or false. Thanks for sharing. It made me smile and that's all that matters.

Besides such stories are plausible.
