This is exactly why people are not being named by the government, because we will stigmatised them. Some people may even be lynched. Or their families killed .

Every single death in Nigeria?

25 people have been said to die from coronavirus in Nigeria.

You mean only 25 people have died in Nigeria in the last 2 months?

I’m amazed at the level of reasoning here.
We have a problem worse than Corona virus and that is ignorance. People don't exercise their brains well enough to know when they're about to say something ridiculous.

What multitude are you talking about?

The same seasonal flu that has been killing people is the same thing that is killing them now.

Don't be deceived by the CNN and co who are bent on scaring the living hell out of you with their reports of deaths everywhere.

Report now has it that every death now that has anything to do with respiratory system is now promoted to COVID19.

Now one other issue the media is not reporting is the fact that mostly old people are affected by this disease.

Most of these countries, most especially Italy in particular, have quite a high number of old people!

Does seasonal flu kill thousands daily overrunning the morgues?

You just sit in your house and cause disbelief in people, but you have no solid proof. Na wa o.

It's your choice to believe whatever you choose to believe.

Likewise me.

Seasonal flu does not over run the morgues but when you make every death to appear as COVID related, you are bound to see figures that will surely frighten you.

At the beginning of the pandemic in america, Dr. Fauci, the US top immunologist, using only-God-knows-what-mathematical-model predicted that there will be up to 2 million deaths...

But as time goes on, the reality on ground has shown that the real number of deaths is not even anywhere close to that figure they initially used to scare the masses into willingly giving up their freedom to accept the house arrest.

Now Fauci and co, are trying to ramp up the numbers just to cover up the fraud.

Now do know what most of doctors who are now beginning to speak up concerning this COVID hoax are now saying?

They are saying that since the COVID broke out and the number of people who are said to have died as a result of the COVID19 has continued to go up, the number of people dying of seasonal flu has dramatically gone down!!!

What does that tell you?!

Please, take your time and listen to informed people like Dr. Shiva. Search for him on youtube and listen to what he has to say concerning this coronavirus of a thing.

Don't be trapped to only one source of information.

Try and have a more balanced view of ongoing affairs.

That way, you may be able to understand the COVID scam that is going on...

That is why I just love this question the OP asked on this thread: how many people personally do you know have died of this virus?

And now I'm also asking you this: How come NIGERIAN morgues are yet to be over run?

Well personally I don't know anyone who has been infected or died of the novel covid-19 virus, with the hype and rate of increase as purported by our government and the secrecy sorrounding those they claim to have it, I have my doubts regarding the figures.

I have personally followed Ghana on worldometer.info and Ghana's covid cases has remained below 1300 and just 9 deaths over the past week(s). So what does Ghana know that we don't.

Also I read a report on yahoo news saying sunlight easily kills the virus and we all know that the sun in Nigeria can boil yam in the right circumstance.

Another thing I noticed is that as soon as the European union gave Nigeria a 27 billion grant, the cases started to rise uncontrollably. Anyway thats my observation.

So do you know anyone with the virus or has the NCDC Being to your area to pick any suspected case.

Let us know.

This is why Coronavirus will end up ruining a lot of people in Nigeria - ignorance, ignorance and ignorance! So because of grants and donations that are way below 100billion naira, Nigerian government will suddenly cook up COVID-19 figures? By shutting down the economy, Nigeria is losing over 200billion naira a week! If Nigerian top officials want to steal money, they don’t need COVID-19 to steal it. There are several other means of stealing money - that COVID-19 is even sabotaging. Do you even know that Nigeria has had to cut down its budget by trillions of naira because of this pandemic? Claiming that Nigeria is cooking up COVID-19 figures(that could bring recession to its economy) because of grants that are not up to 1% of what the country is losing to the pandemic - is the same as saying you will set your business of over 100billion naira on fire because you want to get a donation of 1million naira from people. Does that make sense? The number of cases are increasing drastically because Nigeria is just beginning to test more people. I predict that the cases may get close to 2,000 before the end of May. Because these cases are already within Nigeria all these while but we have not been able to discover them due to lack of proper testing. About the sun and heat. Is Nigeria hotter than countries in North Africa and the Middle East where there are over 10,000 cases there already?

And mind you, I know of many of my friends who returned from Europe that have tested positive for the virus. It’s real. Protect yourself!

It is crystal clear that Nigeria's major priority should be quality education with critical thinking at all level as a vital part of the curriculum.

Our level of development is not an accident & it's not about our leaders & politicians, it is a true reflection of the level of an average Nigerian. I initially assumed that it's just intellectual laziness where people tend to jump at the easy conclusions but I see that it's a mental capacity issue coming as a result of poor intellectual development which could be addressed by quality education.

I even feel the government is downplaying the situation. I work with a foreign company, its been 3days now that our company doctor has been calling NCDC that he has 2 suspected cases he kept on isolation and they are yet to come and take the patients.

My MD has been very angry and had to report to their embassy. His annoyance is that if NCDC is this slow to respond to cases, that means a lot of people must have been having this same treatment, so the numbers we are seeing are far below the actual people infected.

Stay safe!

Don't you feel like crying when you went through this thread? Exactly how I felt.

The level of ignorance and self-inflicted-illiteracy in the world, Africa and Nigeria in particular is alarming!

I keep on telling people around me that, some would never believe until someone in their household is affected. For this OP & co., like someone earlier suggested, let them visit an isolation centre unprotected, then go back home and continue as per normal.

You are a rare gem bro, just one question, is there any possibility of a recovered patient being reinfected more like after being discharged from the hospital and one gets home to be reinfected by the virus itself.
There is an ongoing research on how long the antibodies to the virus last in the body, that will give the duration the body is immune to the virus.
Also the load of exposure to the virus can play a major role(even if one is immune to it, if exposed too much to the virus might overwhelm the immune system, leading to an infection)

Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria

I have been listening to the radio and callers call in during programes claiming its fake blabla bla etc, I assume its illiteracy and maybe those callers live in the hinterlands or dont have access to internet , I just try to excuse their ignorance

What is surprising is when someone who has access to the internet can claim its fake, even if its only NL you visit, cant you see various threads on this same matter, explorers has different threads showing coffins, graves dug, pictures from hospitals etc etc. I still cant believe someone visits nairaland and claim its fake.

Na wa ooo, this attitude is most likely demonic.

I was feeling funny last week and been that i came in contact with 1 delivery personnel (that my mind was not clear with) i decieced to summit myself for voluntery testing.

Have not gone for the test o but if you see talk...from those around me.the stigma for just thinking it self don kill person not to say the person person that now test positive....in as much as am feeling better now i feel sorry for Nigerians cos the number declared is scary but it very low compare to the real thing cos many people are scared of stigamazation so they refuse to present themselve for testing.

With the way people have not been taking precautions here in Nigeria, it's a no brainer that it's going to spread widely. Whatever NCDC stands to gain financially does not stop people from infecting one another.

If it's real in Ghana, in South Africa, in Egypt, in Burkina Faso, why wouldn't it be real in Nigeria? Are all of these countries scammers too? Including their European counterparts?

The 27billion grant that you claimed WHO gave Nigeria, Nigeria has lost several multiples of that amount in revenue from unproductivity due to lockdown. So will you as a rational person shut down your personal business that gives you 10million a month, in order to receive a 500thousand Naira handout from good Samaritans? I'm struggling to understand the level of gross stupidity at play here.

looollll
an average Nigerian thinks he's super smart cause cause he can afford to buy a Gigabyte of data on his phone. Thinks its his right to dip his hand in his butts to feed equal fools whatever he comes out with.
how can you think a pandemic of this proportion is a scam only because you are yet to loose anyone close.
Sanity's clearly eluded some people.
