If you claim it's a speculation, then i suppose that counts as another opinion i should consider. You are obviously a South African, so i suppose you know better. My point was perhaps that was what the white guy meant. You probably know that the higher the number of people privy to an opinion the more removed it is from its original form. So perhaps the first recipient may have misunderstood what the white guy meant. The opinion probably lost further value when the 2nd recipient tried to make sense of it. It's nice you made it clear, that opinion as it was presented may not be correct. But again that may not have been what the first guy meant. The privilege granted by whites to other whites, given their access to important resources must count as something right. And you should know that i am talking about transactions with respect to properties worth millions. . The whites must be out of their minds if they are still competing with black South Africans for jobs in the banks. XhosaNostra: |

XhosaNostra: i have a different opinion, i think white necessarily do not have a head-start than blacks, my opinion is whites build businesses from scratch then grow it big, even if you stop giving them jobs, they will still create jobs for themselves, start small and grow it to a large company even Indians do similar things that is why they employ themselves i do watch Vusi Thembekwayo and he gave an example of 2 entrepreneurs in the same business, one started by a white and the other black, the black guy didn't expand, didn't count stock, didn't innovate, the white guy innovated, took stock and became a big brand in SA |

benji93: Then you don't know how South Africa works, going by the bolded. Transactions worth millions & the point is? The Reserve Bank will still be involved whether it's a cash sale or mortgage because there're property taxes to be paid. |

Forget about trying to support Nigeria or being patriotic, that guy fukked up big time! Why should you tell a lady that you wasted data and bla bla? Telling her that is also a further waste of data instead of quietly walking away. Are you on the Internet and social media space just to hunt for poosea? |

True i don't know. I have never been there. The point is there are levels to privilege. If i am a white man, and i own a coveted property but would never sell it to a black South African even if he offered me twice its market value, what would you call that? To the Black south African it's discrimination. However the white South African would rather consider a positive angle to that scenario. A privilege. Unless of course, the government is able to intervene and force me to sell my property. If that's the case, then i suppose there's no reason to carry on with my argument. Besides my point is entirely based on the hypothetical- that's, the white guy may be thinking along this line. If he isn't then my argument is null. Besides if the whites had a headstart- i believe they did, intentionally for some, maybe unintentionally for others- then must access to a lot of capital, they must have a lot of awareness with respect to innovation and entrepreneurship, as someone suggested earlier. Some of us do have big ideas you know, it's the lack of capital or lack of knowledge on how to get it that's the major stumbling block. If the whites have a lot of access to capital or practical knowledge on how to obtain it with some push by fellow white South Africans of course, is that not some privilege? XhosaNostra: 1 Like |

sexylassie2: 1st of all, most white-owned businesses in South Africa are old money, not what you'd call nouveau riche. So ofcourse they had a headstart in that sense because they have the generational wealth at their disposal to start up whatever enterprise tickles their fancy. Blacks weren't even allowed to venture into certain sectors & fields of study, so obviously the advantage is not going to be the same. One will lead, while the other has to catch up to fill a gap created years ago. Huh? I'm not sure what you mean by that because every business has a 50/50 chance or there wouldn't be so many companies going to liquidation. 1 Like |

benji93: @bolded, I'd call it stupidity. South Africa has a willing buyer, willing seller policy & currently, it's a buyer's market, so this thing you're talking about doesn't exist because usually when people are selling, they want the property off their hands as soon as possible, to avoid incurring property taxes. 1 Like |

Re: South African Lady Calls Nigerian Girls 'prostitutes' And Calls Out Nigerian Men by benji93: 10:21pm On Apr 24, 2020 |
. You think so, and you are entitled to that opinion. But you may want to consider the fact that for some people, in some matters, race takes precedence over money. I mean I would rather let my property rot than sell it to a black South African. You may call it stupidity, but it is what it is. Some people may come across as rational on all other matters but when it comes to race, they surprise you. What you stated up there is what any rational thinking person would do. But again we are not always driven by reason. It's what it is. XhosaNostra: 1 Like |

uboma: how can the man even know that she is from SA? why shouldnt a man be surprised when chatting with local babe and finding out this one is from SA? how many times have you been on a 1st date traveling by plane? how many times have you asked a man to pay for your flight ticket to meet for a 1st date? What was wrong asking if he could afford the flight fare? the problem is not whether the man can afford it or not... the main issue is a stranger expecting a man they never met (and/or dont know) to pay for a plane ticket to meet her on a 1st date. what other madness will she expect? |

PHOTSEE: It seems you care a whole lot because you keep quoting even after claiming not to care. When I'm unbothered by someone or something, I don't acknowledge them because when I say I don't care, I REALLY don't care.
