My Aunt, she left this world (dec. 2016) without having a child, her husband ran away when we found out he was the one with fertility problem after decades of suffering and torture, making people believe she was the problem, and the funny and annoying thing was, she believed, hoped and prayed her husband will come back to her and they will have kids, but it never happened, she simply slept and didn't wake up,

Rest on Aunt Kemi, we all still miss you terribly cry
sorry ma. Nawao

I can never forget my younger sister Kate. She was just five years when my parents died and we were left to the mercy of this cold world to fend for ourselves. I was only nine years then in the village.

What hurt most is that, the elders gave the custody of my little sister who was very healthy to an old woman who is a relation of my father. After just two weeks my sister fell ill and the woman returned my sister back to the family house.

After two days, I went to the farm in the evening to help someone work so he can give me little money for upkeep. On my return in the evening, they told me that my little sister is gone and buried. What hurt most I that I couldn't see her for the last time. It's been 24yrs now but it still hurts. embarassed
this is painful

Have u ever lost someone so dear to u that causes tears to roll down ur eyes each time u remember him or her?

Mine was David.
David was my classmate in JS 1. The most handsome, and one of those brilliant students in my class. David was loved by everyone in the class because of his childish nd joyous attitude. Though initially those attitude created enmity among the two of us our frndship started the day he saved me from being flogged by our nasty maths teacher who gave me a maths problem that I couldn't solve. Since that day we became great frnds nd we were always seen sitting next to each other in class nd working together during compound work. Our frndship was so serious that some teachers thought we were siblings. David was brilliant, selfless, handsome nd childish nd I loved him like a brother. In summary, David died the same week our exams was about starting. He was hit by a reckless lorry driver on his way to his dad's provisions shop. He died on the spot nd rumour has it that b4 he gave up the ghost he muttered the following words, "my dream of becoming a doctor has ended". And since then av always wanted to become a doctor 4 David but the Nigerian factor destroyed that dream. Till today I still remember my brilliant nd selfless frnd whose bright future was cut short by a drunk driver.

Pls I'm sorry 4 the long post nd some of the errors you'll notice. David died exactly on the 25th of April, that's why I brought up this topic. Pls share ur own.
In this context use childlike not childish

The worse of it was that i saw when life was slipping away from my mom that very day, she was crying, she asked me to touch her legs to know if she can still feel it..... Finally, slipped away from her...

It's been 18 months now and i have refused to move on. Every 19th of each month, i completely shut off from the world so i can mourn her, i still want to have a moment with her to tell her everything that has happened since she left cry cry cry

I thought my mum's death was the worse in 2010.She was knocked down by a car.I bought a coffin. My dad died in 2017,prostrate cancer.I bought a coffin.I thought death had no sting on me again.July 18th 2019 my wife went on official assignment they had a fatal car crash. She alone died on the spot.It was too much to bear..some else should buy the coffin.I refused to choose or buy a coffin....it's a horror am yet to wake up from.

I really feel your pain. God will console you.

Yes, my grand mother. She was the one who helped shaped my believe, ideologies and 70% of all the virtues values I carry. Died nearly two years ago. But I am still missing her like it happened yesterday.

My two brothers died within the space of one year. The first one which is our first born died of heart related issues, was with him in the hospital for one month, he was discharged and three months after, he gave up the ghost.

Then our last born, had a dream about him that we were mourning him, I prayed about it, got family members involved in the prayers but three months after, he was having lunch/break time at work, and he choked on the meat in his mouth, rushed to the hospital but was too late.

I've always cried each time I remember the memories of the two of them. cant take them off my mind. Continue to rest in peace my lovely brothers.
nawao.. Take heart ma.

Hmmm, February 28, 2020 will be a day I'll never forget. We got a call that he's dead (family friend turned brother), rushed to the hospital and met his lifeless body in the car; never cried for anyone after my dad died but I cried like a baby. I questioned God, He was not sick at all but he just slumped and that was all. He bought some native wears the previous day and he gave his tailor to sew but his dead body wore it, so many unanswered questions of what happened that final moments. Continue to rest in peace Daddy Toni as I always call you.

My Dad though he was 79 at that time but I was only 22 so I knew him for only 22 years. He was our fighter, he stood the gap for us, he never miss the 3am divine mercy. He was the man that taught me selflessness, a man of peace. I was hospitalized four days before his death, he came to visit me and was pained. He cried to God and said, father I will not bury any of my children again, it is my life for hers and four days later he died in his sleep peacefully. He stood in for me. Ten years later it is still painful and tears rolling down my cheeks. Rest on Sir Ben. Your daughter is a grown woman doing well for herself. Till we meet at Jesus' feet

My mother in-law, Electric oku oyibo as I always called you. My friend and my gossip partner. She was a paragon of beauty both in and out. She died same year as my Dad, 9 months later. Electric ASA nwanyi, I miss you so much. Things would have been different if you were here. I am sorry I ended things with your son, you guys were of different kind, he is the opposite of you and you knew it, that's why you stood by me. I miss you everyday oku oyibo though you came back as my second son, I still miss that elegant wonderful and caring mother in-law. I would have stayed because of you but you left leaving me vulnerable and to my fate. You are one in a million.
sorry ma.. Wow

I lost seven up to date and all had a positive impact in my formative years.

First was my bossom friend who died of a terminal illness in 2000.

Second was my mentor and teacher in 2001 while on transfer to Abuja. He started life and sadly for fear of hernia surgery, he died of it's complications.

Third was a neighbor whose family I respect so much. He died of cancer complications.

Fourth was my dad in 2005. Stepping into the shoes as the head did not come sudden as he had prepared me for the task since childhood.

Fifth was another bossom friend I lost in that infamous Bellview plane crash October 2005. He boarded the plane for the fact he witnessed a fatal accident on the way to Lagos.

Sixth is another bossom friend, a Lieutenant Colonel who died in the hands of Boko Haram on his last mission on the battlefield. His promotion to Colonel came four days later and the Mystery around it is his father died at the same age while we were young.

Seventh was of recent. Barrister Soalabo West, the Rivers State attorney and former gubernatorial candidate who are was kidnapped and killed by his captors.

May God forgive their shortcomings.

Rest in peace friends.

Sometimes when I remembered the suffering and the death of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary, I cried.

Also my grandma, when I remember her death, though she died very old, I weep.
