Bro, a legal guardian is a person who has obtained authority from the court to take care of you and be responsible for you.

I understand that back home our siblings raise us as their own children however, in the eye of the law, that is not legal guardianship.

Thank you for this, I'm learning more.

Yes. You can print it before hand. But don’t let the printout to be older than 30 days.
For example: if you print it on May 1 (after the money has sat in the account for at least 28 days).
You can comfortably use that print out between May 1 and May 29th.

If your interview is however on May 31st or June, you may wish to print a fresh statement for use. Kindly note however that as at the time you clicked ‘submit’ on the application portal, that money must have been there for that 28 days minimum.

As to how they track, that’s a good question.

They either call the bank or write the bank an email. They have a mechanism of doing it.

If you still have any questions, or you are a bit confused, don’t be shy to ask here. We are all here to help.

Thank you so much, I got an unconditional offer last month and I was told that I can only request for CAS before 3 months from the course start date (by calculation, that would be JUNE) and I was told to make a deposit before August 13 (by my calculation, I know I have to make a deposit before JUNE) so that I will be allowed to request for CAS and then proceed to Tier 4 (General) student visa (and I know that the earliest I can apply for a visa is 3 months before my course start date). The reason why I have not paid is because of this pandemic and I don't know how long it will last else I will write to the school and shift it to January.

So with your explanation up there, if the money is in my account NOW that means there is no issue since it is stated that at least 28 days and I will just print my statement whenever I am ready. Hope I am right?

If the money is there right now, that’s fine. Very fine and ok.
But know that it will need to be there from now, til the visa is out and it’s available for you to use in the UK.
That’s what Rule says.

Don’t worry Yusuf.
We are talking about PBS Tier-4 visa here.
You will not be questioned. Let the money be transferred once. Wait for At LEAST 28 days. You are good to go.

Some person(s) have somehow mixed up the rules.
Bros I some cases they do ask the source of the money and what is the occupation of the person that give u the money. when you go through this thread from 2018 to 2019 u will notice that some people that got their visa was asked such question. I will advise every new applicants here to go through this very thread from 2018 till date you will learn a lot.you will also get to know the type of questions to expect for the interview. Tier 4 UK student visa is very straight forward and clear.

A brother travelled last year to the UK and is married. The wife who is widely travelled but presently resides in Nigerian wishes to join him in the UK until the duration of his program. He is currently studying an undergraduate program in Nursing. I'll like to know what route he can take to have his wife visit him. Your opinions and suggestion regarding this would be highly appreciated.

Warm regards to you all.

Be ready to defend the source of your income. I was asked same question during my interview, I just mentioned my Parents transferred it to my account after paying my tuition fees and next question was what do they do for living and how much they earn per year? I gave the naira and pounds equivalent. Next question was how many siblings do I have and how many are depending on them. I mentioned 4 siblings and that all are married and living with their respective spouses so they don't depend on my parents again. Next one was how much do I currently earn ? just an interlink of questions to be sure you know what you are doing.

until I got the money deposited to my account, Thanks to the bosses here for their advice then undecided.

UK law is quite simple and easy to follow.

All you need to do is be sure if what to say.
In as much as the money is in your name, you can mention that it is your money. Or it was given to you by your parents. Make sure you make it clear that it is Your money, and it is available for your use in the UK.

. What I planned to do in my own case is that I will make sure the required amount of money go through my dad account, so that his name will appear on my bank statement and I will good get a letter from my dad which will States that he transfer the money in my account, so that it will be very easy for me to use for the purpose of my education.Meanwhile, I will tell the interviewer that the money come from my dad, whom is a business man.Pls Gurus in the house, what can u say about my idea?

Yes. The best practice is just to have the money in your account or let the person who is wanting to sponsor you transfer the money into your account
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics: 1:24pm On Apr 27, 2020
Just make sure that you don't lie and that the money is in your account for 28 days prior to your online application submission date. Depending on how convincing your answers, the interviewer might decide to explore your answers with other questions not asked regularly in interviews. If you're caught in a lie, you reduce your chances of passing the credibility test.

My dad will be sponsoring my study, I have asked him to get a sponsorship affidavit at the court. My question is should he transfer the tuition fee balance plus maintenance fees to my account so I can use my statement of account or it should remain in his account and I submit his own statement of account?

Which is advisable please?

Madttt Ohhh

‘Sponsorship affidavit’? That is the strangest contraption I have seen after many years on this thread.

Submit your dad’s statement? Yes. You will then need your birth certificate, which shows relationship. He may wish to write a letter to say you are his son/daughter. And the money is available to you.

Dad transfers entire money to your account? Equally good.

The bolded above is why I asked him to get the sponsorship affidavit in court so it back up his claims legally, also to make my application air tight.

Also do I need a police certificate/report?

I just don't want any loopholes in my application
