What is this Wan saying?
Felicity0001:
To me the best way To relax this lockdown is restrict movement from 6am to 7pm them people can be free to move at night, this will give rise to a 24hrs economic system Gov Fashola has always wanted to make happen. And after this whole pandemic is over you will see how major cities like Lagos, FCT, Oh and a few others become a centre of attraction to foreign investors.

With this idea Gov will do their best to make elextricity available, street light a must and security a major thing.

We need to start thinking outside the box and start appreciating the advantages and disadvantages that come along this pandemic.

Here u are in Nigeria proposing night way of life for a country with the poorest security & highest poverty level in the world? It is not even safe to move in the day, u are talking about night? I really don't know if u exhibit this level of senselessness for fun, but I tell u the truth today, a fowl is more sensible than u! Gosh!

Businesses like manufacturing industries, financial institutions, telecommunications sectors, oil companies both upstream and down stream, food and beverages, et el.

Companies have closing hrs simply because the system made it so, the universe made it so, nature made it so and so the human mind has been wired towards the natural science of life but that as well can be changed if night becomes day and day becomes night.

A quick question, do hospital, police stations and some manufacturing companies have closing hours? No! But the staffs have and run shifts, dont they? So what makes you think other organization can copy suit?

clubs... I will attend to this later... Make I take some bottle
financial institution working 24 hours??

i can understand manufacturing industries, telecommunications sectors, oil companies both upstream and down stream. food and beverages i will put it under manufacturing except you talking about malls, restaurants, fast food and grocery chains where demand is very low during the night leading to a high electricity bills and more expenses.

also, you need to know that companies produce or sell their services to meet demand that is real. the reality is that the cost will be higher if they have to run 24 hours especially when there is no demand.

also different industries and market has different requirements depending on the nature of their demand, some services and products are consumed during some seasons or portions of the day and less so during others, it will be baseless to open 24 hours.

A man has cancelled his marriage indefinitely, because his proposed wife visited him during the lockdown. He cried, that disobeying government's order shows she's stubborn.
He told her, "if government can't control you, where will I get the power to control you?".✈️✈️

I support this but to be frank, we are not ready for this. Security needs to get to a higher level before this would be possible. Policemen who are insane will start misbehaving calling everyone that works at night thieves.
Electricity might not permit this too.

We are not mature to get to that stage yet.

Maybe places like Eko Atlantic will start that first.

Most importantly, SECURITY!

The lockdown relaxation and imposition of curfews is relative to states based on the severity of the pandemic. It's not blanket fiat for the entire country.

The governors of each state are at liberty to effect these measures as they seem necessary on a state by state basis.

Lagos, Abuja and say Port Harcourt are different from most other states we have in the country and what can work in less commercially active states of say Ekiti,Ebonyi or Jigawa might not be exactly applicable here.

What's annoying though,is the abysmally low levels of testing across the country despite several weeks of lockdown and humongous amounts of monies claimed to have been spent in tackling this pandemic.

The government is failing us and it reeks incompetence on their part. The point blank truth is that this government are incapable of containing this disease.

No testing, no effective contact tracing, no proaction only reation,no concise plan on how to get the citizens and the economy back on their feet, absolutely nothing!!

All we are just doing is sitting on our arses and waiting for other countries to come up with a cure. This goverment are even more confused than u and i on how to tackle this pandemic, its so bloody obvious from their body language.

This is why i am totally against the lockdown here in Nigeria because apparently it's been a bloody waste of time and resources and unimaginably hard on the populace.

Would you continue to sit in a bus with an incopetent driver at the wheels? Won't you rather get out or possibly take over the wheels. My destiny is sure in my hands, don't know about you guys!!

[color=royalblue]This was Ogba after the NNPC fire incident.

They really observed social distancing and wore the necessary kits to protect themselves.

Even if the government is failing us, I'm happy the people are not ignorant, and are taking care of their lives too.

With Nigerians like these, I'm most confident we will manage the Covid-19 even after the lockdown

There was a huge fire in a fuel station with explosions and what do you expect, people should sit their arses at home in the name of lock down when disaster is lurking right in your backyard. This incident happened quite a few blocks from where I stay, though I wasn't home.

This is typical naija for you and it could happen anywhere. Real physical social distancing will be very difficult to achieve in Africa and even more so in one of the most densely populated city in the world.

This is still a pointer to the manifest failures of the goverment. The system has failed everyone and will continue to.What you see there is palpable fear in the people thinking the fire could raise down the whole neighborhood, though misplaced,I must confess.Abule Ado still readily comes to mind.

Goverment should make laws and enforce them,if laws are in place and appropriate sanctions applied to deviants, everyone would fall in line. But what do we have, lacuna everywhere due to iresponsibilty of government.

grin abeg o! Somebody made away with a red 2008 Range Rover sport from the car lot next to the fuel station while trying to evacuate the cars during the fire, abeg we dey find am.This is no joke!!
