Don't do it, except you are really going to marry him. In some countries, a promise is binding and to think that you both have an affidavit to prove promise. Besides, I don't understand what was meant by relationship not recognized cos I have invited a few [legitimate] friends as friends, and there was no issue.

submit fresh application don't appeal .make sure you submit genuine docs
Thanks, but he already sent the documents through DHL to the embassy in abuja. What do you suggest i do after this whole pandemic please? My passport is with me and I would love to reapply.
Can I reapply even after submitting documents for appeal?

I understand everyone talking about Visit visa and all. I have a different question:

Anyone have an idea on routes to go for PR in SA? Especially if one has been here with a work permit and then spousal visa+work permit (but divorced from PR partner) for more than 5 years? Thank you.
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Shembe4life: 11:08am On Apr 30, 2020
Is your permit still valid or it has expired?? If its still valid you look for another spouce to add to your work permit when you're submitting for the renew and when its out then you can submit for your Pr.

Please dont come to South Africa with visitor visa because you wouldn't be able to change your status. ....... "how do I get a permanent Work permit? You can not get temporary work permit, now you are imagining permanent work permit. Yeme7 if you desire South Africa then you have 2 options STUDY PERMIT OR CRITICAL SKILLS WORK PERMIT.

Hi Edward let me tell you better truth about South Africa. Please don't come to SA with visitor visa ooooooooo. Try to get study permit or critical skills work visa. With visitors visa you would not be able to change your visa.

Hi alkaline, I don't understand your question. Did you married and divorced SA? If your marriage is 5 years before you divorced i believe you can apply for your permanent residence permit but if not you can not apply. But if you have valid work permit and you have work in SA for 5 years you can apply also. Then if you are on Critical skill work permit you can apply for permanent residence permit when you get job offer or contract.

It better to go through that process and get your PR than other that will make you regret. I gone through Critical skill work permit when I got to SA in 2O15 I applied for my PR and it came out Dec 2016 with God on my side.

Critical skill work permit is for graduates under Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).You can apply for undergraduate study in SA if you have money to pay. But postgraduate study in some universities in SA are free ( Masters and PhD by research are free tuition fee)

No, I wasn't married for 5 years. I was trying to say: I had general work permit first, got married and got on Spousal visa with work notorization. I do understand that since I am now divorced without being married for 5 years, I cannot get my PR yet. Thankfully, my skill is listed as a Critical skill in SA so going that route. smiley

So how do I get the study visa because I'm a graduate here done with service, is there anything I could do? As a graduate from the university here, why should I apply for study visa, and how do I go about it? While the critical visa is all about what?

Can I have your WhatsApp number so I can add let's talk please
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Shembe4life: 9:36am On May 05, 2020
Hi Edward. Yeme7 is right about something but not all.... Its really hard to get critical skill work permit from Nigeria and even study permit so schools would want some part of your school fees..... I will advice you to do a visitors permit and you can change it when you're in South Africa cause the new rules now allow you to submit permit with your visitors permit and i'm sure about it and you need to have money to submit your permit with you when you're traveling to South Africa cause your duration of stay will be 14days or 30days

Unless Shembe can provide a link about his above statement, please follow this. I also learnt it is difficult to change Visitors visa within SA...

My advice would be coming via Study permit...choose a school, pay the tuition fees, and organically get into the system by upgrading your permit slowly till PR. Good luck!

Una well done!!

My two cents on the discussions

1. The ONLY time you can change from a visitors visa within SA to from visitor to Spousal Visa ( married to a PR holder or SA Citizen) visa. Anything else na bobo

2. Any one coming to SA to hustle with visitors visa, please don't. Their people here are out of jobs and this covid ish has made the situation worse
