Got a buyer already. Will take a 30-35% initial purchase price hit (this can be factored as depreciation anyway). Hopefully he does not chicken out when the time is right. He'll be coming from an 08 Grand Cherokee with the 3.7L V6 - What could possibly go wrong?
Honestly bro, I am tired - you can't blend in, it's always odd when packed along other cars. And I just think I wanted it, not that I really had need for all that deafening exhaust note. Will keep you posted and maybe I'll try a Cadillac CTS next. Only disadvantage is American cars interiors are so bland and uninspiring. I mean just look at the image below, only thing remotely nice is the Sirius touchscreen radio with handsfree connectivity and HDD

No mind them, they should have let the Corolla gain on them, then flex their muscle. I guess they were scared that a puny Corolla running at 160-170km on a freeway will likely roar @6000 RPMs and still use less fuel and the true position is they may end up playing catch-up.
My only gripe with the Americans. The boring corolla interior is even better IMO. I feel you on not blending in. I was overwhelmed the day I opened the door or the charger, almost twice the size and height of an average sedan.

But then, nothing beats an American V8. Worth it for the engine alone.

The Charger and Challenger are behemoths. No idea why Americans like massive things. The Ford F-150 na just one massive thing like that.

To throw their weight around of course. Why else would they give you 707hp in a sedan equipped with child seats? They are the definition of go big or go home.

At least it's a corolla and costs far less than an average Base Charger.

Even with all that "padding" its crash tests are not phenomenal. grin grin

You just had to defend the Coro. Were the repairs well done?

707 HP and it costs $70k! I don't think people appreciate the Hellcat enough. That's 70 HP more than a $275k Lamborghini Huracan Performante. Americans are absolutely mad.

No repairs why? Only cars I love better than a Corolla are the Mercedes A class and the Honda Civic. And Benz mechanics don't like snooping around a w169.

W211. You're becoming very frugal.... Are you expecting another baby? No space to work on it... you get bleeding knuckles from trying

W211 .

Have you seen Extraction on Netflix?
Chris Hemsworth really put the SBC to the test during a high speed maneuver. Great car when it actually drives and a money pit when something small breaks.

It's not a natural It's NOT a Mercedes Benz. W210 is far better than it in all realms. IMO. AC, interiors, Transmission, etc etc

I know you to be objective. Interior wise forget the W211 is nothing to the W210. AC wise the W211 is still nonsense.
Wiring and electrical issues na W211 trademark.
The only issue with the W210 is rust. It's possible you're lucky to have a rust free one...
BTW how's the Coro treating you?

That analogy doesn't hold water, an 80s Audi 80 or Datsun Laurel will be fun to work on compared to that 90s 210.

Corolla is in Abuja, lockdown!

I use the 2000's 210. I don't see any comparison with Audi 80 or the other names you cooked up. Ok.

I drove that car for 3 years...it's a very rugged car and it doesn't consume fuel... especially the 180...it comes with 1.8L engine and it's 4 plugs

A good car...the parts are not all that Pricey, the full engine isn't even upto 110k, the shocks aren't expensive and the parts are easiest to get amongst all Benz ...you don't even need to go to Ladipo if you Stay in Lagos

It's a good car... But look out for Air Flow meter ....

Thanks I thought c180 don't have air flow meter?

Since we are comparing apples to oranges (a w210 and w211 - two completely different vehicles apart from M112.xx (for V6) and 722.6xx.). I am referring to those gremlins present in a w210 that won't be on the Audi 80. After all most Audi 80 taxis I have seen are basically plug and play. The w210 isn't!

Ditto for the W211 which is worse than the W210. Post facelift 210 which I push is plug and play cheesy

I feel you. It is a good choice economically to pad a thirsty muscle with a corolla or civic. Besides, there's no sense or fun in lugging an American muscle about then you just have to run to the store. grin grin

My brother, if you put 5,800-5,900 fuel in that Corolla forget it. You can roam around town for nothing less than 460 - 470 kms with the occasional idling with AC on.

On the Charger 8,500-8,700 fuel will give you 340-350km city driving tops. And negligible idling, I no dey idle at all. Immediately I stop, I don off ignition.
