I am yet to see two Yoruba or Hausa guys comparing states,cities n towns. Putting up pictures to denigrate each other. What ever flaws they have they see them as "our" flaws n rarely bring them up in social domain.

Hmn, I understand your feelings but the hard truth is that no tribe has a monopoly over any name and this phenomenon is NOT limited to Igbo-Ikwerre relationship.

There are so many people bearing names like Turaki, Balarabe, Ishaku, Waziri etc that we Southerners wrongly assume to be Hausa but are not Hausa.

There are many people in Edo, Delta and Kogi States that bear Ayo, Femi, Ade, Akin etc but aren't Yorubas.

In Europe, names like Augustine, Frank, Angela, William, Francis, Jane, Alexander, Catherine,Henry etc can be English, French, German etc.

As for the Igbo name bearers who are evidently not Igbos, I personally don't care about them tbh. I wish them all the best in their pursuits of happiness.
