i wonder where their result is o. But from their few press releases, the cfo made mention of their claim expenses reducing by almost 50%. and their Qtr3 result showed a similar amount in gross premium with 2018 (est~ 10bn year 2019). But lets not forget they completed their right offer, hereby diluting EPS. im comfortable reloading at the current price of 20kobo, and sitting for the very very long run based on a personal strategy. their are better deals in the market for now, so only the leftover funds from other trades can i use for STI.

Oga mi forget FIDSON and other pharmaceutical Companies in Nigeria, They dont do R&grin, and even If they end up producing any drug for COVID 19 it will be after Patents have run out
Fidson and gsk will be saying there is lifting up when other stocks will say there is casting down.

Technicals will push these pharmaceutical companies to a very high price in the near future.

Just keep your eyes on the health sector especially these two. They are not feeling any heat of this lockdown instead they are making more sales than before.

I am not a long termer but my attention is drawn to this sector for short term jijo.

I feel the profitability potential of the healthcare stocks are overrated as far as the Covid19 lockdown is concerned. I also dont see any special gain they might have made from the lockdown . The number of patients being treated for Coronavirus are too minimal to command any major profit for them. Many people were even more healthy during the lockdown because they were not exposed to environmental hazards and parasites like mosquitoes. Hope we also know that every Nigerian has turned to producers of sanitizers and face masks? grin

Furthermore, i dont think any Nigerian firm even has the gut at the moment to research a vacinne or cure for Coronavirus like Gilead Sciences in the USA is doing, that would have been the money spinner. A favorable government policy towards importation of drugs can also wipe out any potential profit that accrue to that sector. If you think that is not possible think again as we have a clueless government in place for now. All they need is IMF threatening them, they will open the border.

That said, investors should plan their trade and trade their plan nobody knows it all in this market. Just a different perspective.

Dividend - 0k/share
Bonus - 1 for 5
Chai! Where is that person that was projecting 20 to 25k dividend? AIICO has done what they are good at and that's pay no dividend.

Is a 1 for 5 bonus not better?

At a second look, this AIICO management is very stingy. They are on e of the few companies who have comfortably;ly met NAICOM'S recapitalization deadline....YET NO DIVIDEND. Bonus or no Bonus, There should be dividend.

In this phase of endless shares engineering by the management. The dividend is a very good bird in hand.

At today's price, the bonus is worth about 18k/share.
