First time I'm watching your video courtesy of AngryIgboman. Lol

The uber policy of drivers not seeing where riders are going before pickup is a worldwide thing. It's like that in America as well. A backward policy.

Every other thing you said makes a lot of sense, I totally agree with you. Lack of destination trips is annoying and brutally wicked. Last time I drove on Uber two months ago, did more than
50km empty from Magodo to Ajah. I was getting requests further out when I needed to go home. Would have waited for a destination trip if that shite was working.

This is why Uber has never made a single profit since it's inception. They shoot themselves in the foot with stupid policies that are counter productive thinking they are smart.
I disagree with this, in some other countries drivers see destination especially in Yankee you even see the estimated amount you can make. It started in I think LA not totally sure. I am subscribed to an American Uber driver and get uptades

I almost got cheated by a fuel attendant few minutes ago.

I stopped to buy fuel at PETROCAM, Marwa. I gave him 3000 and he programmed it into the pump. Immediately he started dispensing the fuel he went to the other of the pump and I was paying attention to the meter. When it got #19XX, I looked away to take a mint from the cup holder and quickly looked back to the meter.

Like magic 19XX turned 3000 in less than five seconds. I signaled to him that the machine has stopped. He was about closing the tank when I checked my gauge. From E to Quarter tank, I knew something was not right. I called his attention to it and told him that how come the meter jumped from 2100 to 3000 in split seconds, he said he doesn’t know that since he programmed 3k and the machine is showing 3k that there’s no cheating there.

At this point I changed from English to Yoruba. Told him if he doesn’t behave I will change it for him right there.

He didn’t say anything, he went to the pump, programmed 800 and dispensed into the car.

Petrocam? cry

Another trick to use could be

You: I wan buy fuel

Attendant: How much?

You: Fill up grin

At this point, he has no choice than to watch the meter with you. When it's close to your preferred amount,

You: Stop for #3k grin

Hmm Felicity0001 don come again. Bros Have u learn FX trading before? Yea its bullish sometimes and EOR ( End of Range), WRH/WRL week Range High/ Low ......come Let me brush your skills once again so you could be an FX Expert. Don't forget Forex does not have Covid 19 ,only surviving business sector since this era of Coro. In the mean Uberbolt is on ML ( monthly low) so driving at this time is shit
Felicity0001:
AC is the main killer in this job.

And the only thing I achieved yesterday was paying some good fraction of my bolt debt.

Since yesterday was Friday I decided to drive base on some indicators which point to a bullish out at the end of the day.

Most people would want to go out and get money for the weekend.
Most people working on the island would want to come back home after their usual 1week around their offices.
Demands for humanitarian workers "olosho" is usually every Fridays.
Last opening day for market in the week.
et el.

Put on bolt apps which is uber and taxify. Mind you I didnt go out on Thursdays at all apart from driving to refuel at the filling station. I bought N1k fuel.

Now see how your AC is the main reason drivers are not netting reasonable income.

With approximately N1500 in my tank I didn't want to leave the house unless a request comes in, so, 1st request came in after about 1hr on taxify.

At first I was reluctant but drove to PU believing I could convince rider to go on offtrip since I was owning bolt N12,212. But unfortunately rider disagreed, its was a 3rd party ride. I didnt wanna start my day with paying debt knowing fully well I'm having just about N1500 pms in my tank with no other cash on me. So I drove off. That trip would have ended N2+. But no worries! I was positive to have a good day and I truly did.

The 2nd request came in on uber that would have been my 13th trip on uber for the week. Trip started without AC but as the traffic was building up with so much dust and heat and i notice rider(he) was contious with his phone and was sweating vigorously I then decided to put on the AC. Trip was from Scheme 1, Oko Oba,Agege to inside berger. Trip ended N1900

The next trip came in while I was get to end the 1st. At this time I didnt use AC but was a short trip still within inside Berger. The lady paid N500 still cash.

Drove from inside berger around the FRSC to ADDAS SuperMat Agidingbin, parked in their car lot for about 40min then the 3rd came in, babe was going to Adeniji Jones and trip ended N700 cash.
Still no AC.

I then on the AC a little due to traffic and drove, waited for some minutes with no show, driving to ikeja along a delivery trip to Osborne offshore estate, Ikoyi. No AC still and trip ended N2500.

Atbthis point my fuel indicator was then showing. Drove from there to NNPC b4 falomo. Bought N1500. Drove down to falomo close to the bridge then a trip came in on taxify, destination- Ajah.

Now; lets do the math.
All trips where cash uber trips.
1st trip = 1900
2nd trip = 500
3rd trip = 700
4th trip = 2500

Total = 4600.
Estimated fuel in Naira (N)= 1500.
