I did mine in 2012. Up till now, I am yet to receive it. I registered for it while I was working at NIMC in Benin City, Edo state. I didn't expect that it can be delayed to this extent.

I did it reluctantly back then while I was 100l. I got a call from then last year and they sent it down to Lagos. That's 9yrs for common national ID

If you have lost the sim you used in registering for it, then forget about it.

guy that renewal is not free o, you l hae to cough out #3000 for you to process and get it, it funny how someone wasn't given a card and it expired in their hands and you have to pay #3000 to get, and getting it after renewal is another matter.

Card was ready by 2015 December, they sent me SMS for collection.

Lost my Slip hence delayed till 2017.

Finally retrieved my slip and collected the Card in 2017.
Card expired in 2019.

I registered in 2015 and got the original copy in 2017. I guess I was just being lucky. I know of people who registered before but are yet to receive the original copy.

Mine is even expiring this year.

I collected it in 2015 and they expect me to pay 3k to renew it.

The good thing about it is, instead of writing year 2020 as the expiry date, they put "OCT/20". So to me, I've made the expiry year whatever I want it to be. It can be year 2090 sef for all I care.

I also did mine in March, 2014. They are still processing my card. Maybe their system is slow and they are rebooting it
