You made it in the oven? Wow! Didn't know it was possible. smiley

You'll be amazed the kind of meals you can make in an oven. I hardly ever fry anything anymore. Plus, i think your foods come out better.

Looks yummy sis. A little thing to note: After dishing your food and before taking shots for upload, clean off those tiny food or oil that dropped on/around the dish/plate (you can do that using a clean finger or better still, serviette), it makes the presentation of the food appear neater and better. BTW, I've been following this thread quietly, finding it difficult to upload. How do I upload stuff here?
Thanks for the observation i do appreciate smiley

If your picture file is bigger than 4mb you will find it difficult to upload, next time use an app to edit nd save or just screenshot the picture you wanted to upload.

Try it. It's easy. One batch of dough can last 2 months. Just store it in the freezer and de freeze anytime you need to make more. Every Saturday night for me is Fadeyi Oloro/pizza and beer night.

Will do. Will get Alfredo sauce when next I go shopping.

Very delicious something

I love Turkish cuisine. I think Turkish cuisine is my favorite. smiley
Sultac is eaten in many places but I guess the recipes differ from place to place. I love to eat it warm when it is cold.

Great! U should start thinking of taking ur creativity to the next level if that's ur passion. Check online courses on Udemy, Coursera, etc and you can make some money from what u love doing. Stay inspired and don't let anyone crush ur passion. Stay strong!

Thanks. I'll work on this.

How was the granola you made? Did you love it?

I mixed many things in it. I couldn't get rolled oat. The one I saw was damn too expensive..about 4,000 I guess. So I opted for quick oat. Things used were

Quick oat
Groundnut
Sesame seeds
Cumin seeds (this was a big mistake I regret so much). It spoiled the taste
Vanilla extract
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
Honey
Raisins
Sesame oil
Date and coconut.

You inspired me to make this. It was nice but the cumin seeds spoilt the taste.
I will like to try again with rolled oat to see the difference though

I have different methods
It depends on the spirit working with me that minute

Method 1
perboil my rice
In another pot I have all the ingredients I wanna add to the fried rice
I fry with either butter or veg oil
Then I add the almost done rice
Stir and cover for a few mins to steam

Method 2
I add water and curry, maggi, salt and oil in a pot boiling
I wash my rice thoroughly
Then add to the water and cover with foil or nylon
While I fry my orisirisi
When the rice is done
I add the fried orisirisi
There you have the fried iresi

Added raisins, cinnamon and macadamia nuts. I should make this more often

People have different ways of making fried rice.
My preferred ingredients for fried rice are:

Chicken
Vegetable oil
Onion
Garlic
Carrots
Green peppers
Green beans or peas
Spring onions
Sweet corn
Curry powder
Thyme
Bay leaves
Knorr seasoning...

My method of making fried rice is quite different from the usual because of the quantity of rice. It also absorbs more flavour this way.

First I parboil my rice, then I fry my onions, garlic, thyme, bay leaves, curry powder, seasoning cubes, then I add in my parboiled rice and stir until it absorbs the colour and the flavour.
Next I pour in my chicken stock and hot water to the rice. (The liquid should be a little above the rice)

While my rice is cooking, in a separate pan/pot, I fry all my chopped vegetables in a little oil.
When my rice is done, I add in the stir fried vegetables to it, stir, balance for seasoning and salt, then stir finally.

My fried rice is ready! smiley

Yum. Yum. Thanks for the quick response.

Some questions:

1. Do you follow steps in adding in the veggies for frying. Like maybe a veggie comes first or last. Or do you just fry them all at once?

2. Then how long for frying the veggies?

3. About how much oil should be used for frying?

4. Am I to season the stir-fry veggies?

Questions:

1. Why the use of foil/nylon and does it make a difference?

2. From method 1, is it that you don't season your perboiled rice?

1. Because I don't use much water, the foil/nylon will help soften faster.

2. Nope, just the white rice (I am not a salt person too)
