Exactly

Not many smes willing to go thru this route and do things properly for reasons i mentioned earlier

Most have no dealings with big cooperates or govt business

If they are okay playing in the small league, all well and good.

It happens with self employed professionals eg Architects, lawyers, doctors etc. But those professionals can only deal with people and not corporate organizations and government agencies

There are things I do as a business man here in Nigeria that I can't dare try in a sane country. So someone like me is not even having "hope" or praying that Nigeria gets better.

We have seen one of the people that don't want a better Nigeria... cheesy

Well, the economy is a round table. Whatever money we make on our side of the table by leveraging the bad system, we will still spend it unjustly at another side of the table. We stand to gain more collectively if our system gets better.

No blames though. You are doing what you have to do

It is not a sinking ship to me, that's the point. And the devaluation is to my own benefits too. Let me explain.

I have a foreign bank account linked to my PayPal account. I use it for shipping and also buy dollars very cheap from freelancer. So orna exchange rate from Aboki, no concern me. I also have a team of programmers here in Nigeria that I source most jobs for abroad, I get paid in $ while I pay them in ₦.

I don't keep much Naira in Nigeria unless I want to buy tbills and use the interest for something or even pay salaries with.

These are some of the things I meant by plan accordingly.

This man, you get mind ooo...from Bitcoin to Paypal. I dabbled into Paypal things in 2017 and i lost nearly 300k. Freelancers refused to retract money to their Fiverr account and Paypal just permanently limited the account. Since then, i no do Paypal transactions again ooo...very uncertain terrain

Can any of you lovely people recommend a good e-commerce web developer? Thanks in advance

I just ran out of the shopify website. As a shopaholic, I never appreciated the work that goes into running the websites I click so carelessly with a nutella coated finger.

I use paypal to do all my importation. I have been using same USA paypal account for roughly 6 years now without issues.

Also, there is a trusted guy here on nairaland that can help you withdraw your money from your permanently limited PayPal account and he will pay you either in Naira or bitcoin. His name is iyemik.

Am not a guru but you deserve an answer. The gurus will attend to you when they wake. The present SUKUK bond at 11.2% is a better deal. That amount (about 18m) that fetches you about 700k now will be getting you over 2m every year. 11% is fair considering the rates now and future expectations.
Thank you Sire

You are new and u started by insulting people?

Everybody has his or her speed of understanding. No question is stupid as it can answer to many who are reading without asking.

Google cannot make u money, practice will. Money making is an act.

This thread started since 2012 and a lot of us have asked so called lazy questions but it has paid off on many
That poster made a valid point and you're attacking him. This money you wanna invest, you did not steal it (or at least let us assume that). Why come here asking questions like someone just dashed you the money? These are the kind of people that always fall for mmm schemes because they want fast money and would rather drop their money anywhere rather than take their time to study where they are putting their blood and sweat (money). Stop coming here to ask people to calculate 11% of your funds for you. Have some shame na.

I don't ship from China but some shipping companies can help you with that. You pay Naira and they help you send Rmb equivalent to your seller.

Some of the folks who move to Canada aren't moving because of lack of money. Indeed, some of the people who move had well paid jobs. There's just a sense of despair that a lot of people have in the future of Nigeria. You can have money and die due to medical negligence and no one gets punished. I'm not saying it doesn't happen outside Nigeria but there's a fair chance of restitution. A lot of people say they do it for their kids. Quality healthcare, education, security etc.

Very well said, sir. Relocating to Canada through PR is not even easy for the average Nigerian because you need to show POF of at least 3.5m within the last 6 months.

Most people who tow that route are quite well to do, so clearly, the financial rewards they "may" get in Canada is not the main attraction because they are already getting it in Nigeria.

The reason is: BETTER LIFE. Within the last 2 years, at least 4 senior staff on nearly 6m annual salary in my organization have relocated to Canada for the same reason.

Make God just pick person call...

That is true. Still one has to invest. As poor as rates are currently it's still better than keeping your money idle without investing it. It's a matter of time once you build the culture you are bound to find and know more investment widows and learn different winning strategies. Keep on reading and learning from the masters here.

Leaving it it blank will not affect your allotment.

Just ensure the cscs and clearing house number is there.

We always make the mistake of co-mingling our money and that of our business. This usually give a false sense of profitability of the business.

Whatever you put should be a loan which must be paid back at a given time

Even if you are using your property for a business, the business ought to pay rent to you, take care of other running costs, pay you a given stipend as salary, before you can determine the profitability of the business. Most especially if you have been running this business for 2 years and above

This is real accountability.

You are a very good customer. Customer daada ni.

The worst money market fund will still pay you 5%.

FBN Quest Asset Management a member of the same First Bank family will give you something a little more than 5%

This will give N12,500 to your N500,000 after 6 months, better than the less than N800 which you have settled for
