This thing happens all the time. I experienced the same thing last week. A client sent me money and sent me a screenshot of the alert. After 2 days, the payment was reversed into his account

My guy our banking system in this country is gab. I had a similar experience sometime in 2018, i went to my brother's in Abuja to spend my short leave. While i was there bros wife tax me and i oblige her. I transferred the money on Friday morning and was debited immediately, i showed her the debit alert and went my way, went clubbing with guys while there she kept saying she has not seen the money, i told her to calm that she will get it. By 8am on Monday morning i got a reversal.

Everything u do with ur account will immediately show on ur statement. it only confirms that you have sent it. It is the recipient bank statement that can confirm if it arrived.
