Kelechi owes him nothing we all have those childhood friends who became rich before us and abandoned us.

I have many of them, they went into business while I went to higher institution, some joined Yahoo Yahoo and are cashing out big.

We used to visit each others and play together back then but I never try to approach any of them now.

We all are on Facebook looking at our posts without any engagement or interaction.

I know my worth, idea and where I am heading to so it is just a matter of time I will level up or be richer than them.

I know they don't owe me anything that is why I jeje respect myself as I am not a millionaire yet I still have my pride and respect to protect.
Because you are an egocentric and jealous. U praying for them to fall so you will rise, my bro you will never be richer than them but you go get money

MY CHILDHOOD FRIEND HAS ROSE TO STARDOM AND HAS FORGOTTEN THAT I EXIST.

Kelechi Iheanacho was my childhood friend, we grew up together in the same neighborhood Nekede Old Road Owerri IMO state. We played the street balls together under the rain and scorching sun. We attended the same primary school; Unique Nursery and primary school Umualum Nekede No 4 b/stop as at then but has relocated to a new site now. We did almost everything together but today grace has found you and you've rose and clapped your way into the corridors of fame and stardom, you're now a celebrity not just in Nigeria but all over the world.

I remember how we conquered the environments of Ama - ato. Azuatalam, Chigozirim known as Podosky and you and I. If we are not there the games won't be fun but you've forgotten so fast and now mingles with those that you met after being famous.

We played an academy club "Danish" together for years before you moved to Taye academy how can you just forget those days so fast?

I remember how happy i was when i watched you play for Nigeria under 17 in UAE 2013.. I was not surprised when you conquered the world in that stage because i knew how good you were prior to then. Your senior brother Uchenna couldn't give me your contact because we are no more on the same pedestrian, you've moved higher.

Hear this,

I'm writing this not because hunger has finished my life but because a picture with you now will serve as a story i will tell to my children. Don't forget that the bodyguards and security personnel guarding you from people coming close to you, were not there when we use to go to the bush in Uzo ubi those days in search of riped fruits. It pains my heart that you've forgotten most of us who suffered with you and grew up together with you in the hood.

It's hard for me to get reach to you again as i've followed you in all social media platforms, Instagram, twitter, e.t.c. But it's easy if you want to get to me, if really you want to.

Please whoever that can reach out to Kelechi Iheanacho should help me and show him this letter and tell him it was written by Bala as i was nicknamed those days.

Rising to stardom doesn't mean you should forget those who grew up with you. I still remember paying for some matches we watched together at the viewing centres even game centres for PS2 (PlayStation). The things we did together are so enormous that i can't put all in writing.

Friends, i know Kelechi Iheanacho may not see this but you that is reading it now, don't forget the people with you now when luck shines on you.

Don't call them lazy, poor or feel irritated when you see them coming to you. We all started from somewhere and grace found you.

Godswill Uche (A.K.A Bàlà)

God's will,
Why do you have to come to social media to let the world know that Kelechi is your friend, this is envy and jealousy. This is evil stop it now. Kelechi owes you nothing, I hope you will put up this thread for all your childhood friends.

I shake my head, well life is a choice we all make. Personally I always keep in touch with my real homies, once in a while I drop small bar for them. I can't just stand and watch my real homies I drank garri together suffer when I HV means of helping them, Jah forbid.
Some of u commenting that Kelechi does not own him anything, u people will still be same begging one uncle or the other or some even come on Twitter to post their account number.
So what do we call it?

Please think more about how you can add value to his life and him to your own. I have a friend who lamented how a honourable member abandoned all his guys because he has made it to the national assembly and how he 'doesn't help'.

Then it was close to reelection campaign time, I advised him to use his own money to go to their constituency and mobilise Youth Leaders from the villages for a meeting, sell your old friend to them, tell them that he sent you and tell them what they want to hear from politicians, take pictures and send to your friend.
He did as I instructed and before you know it he was given huge money and made youth mobilizer, eating and dining again with his old friend, made new friends during the campaign and learnt Nigeria politics, he is being supported by his friend now to get party nomination to become a counsellor in his area.

Think of the value you can add to his life whenever you meet him and not how much he can give you just because you are an old friend

Very funny. So because you grew up in same hood, he should be responsible for you? I'm sure he is not the only childhood friend you are not currently in contact with, so why not create a thread for others as well? Why only kelechi?

There is nothing wrong or right with the thread, in fact, it is more right than wrong.

While we hustling some will go up and others will go down that is the field of life.

Kelechi Iheanacho has his right to choice but many people will still go bala way.

do you pass through that stage of life as a child when you hold no grudges against anyone even if they offend you?,the things you do with your childhood friends, the innocence of the children and all that, then you'll know that that is when you have through friends and will always cherished those memories.

So stop being naive undecided
Absolutely! i think of my childhood and friends always. some i have managed to get in contact with some i keep imagining what happened to them or how they ended up. some of them have become very wealthy business men richer than i am some of them i am richer than, one of them i managed to track down recently i felt really sad for him, he is still struggling. but still he wasn't after handouts from me, he said he just wanted to see me. some were embarrassed to see me because they haven't done well, so they felt. but i didn't mock them we still got together for drinks and chats.

The best thing to solve this kind of problems is to dust yourself up and hustle hard and stop looking for sympathy from your friends, kelechi may not even remember you like that but you'll be thinking he has forgotten you,.
Life deals with us differently but that doesn't mean you can not give your life a meaning and be someone to reckon with in the society. Hustle bro good luck.

Very sad, all I have to say is please let’s always remember how we started this life from nobody to somebody . Let us always remember our childhood friends. Gods blessings can’t come from heaven but through someone else. I could remember one governor in naija that paid I surprised visit to his old customer who sales snails to him den b4 he became a governor. Only God knows the amount of money the governor gave his snail customer. Pls let us always be generous to support our friends in a which way. No amount is small, thank

Mr. Man the fact he was your childhood friend doesn't mean you're entitled to him, your write up seems bias.
What if he was roaming street with you at this moment, will you write this rubbish and blah about how you suffered with him?
Entitlement mentality is killing youths this days.

there is nothing wrong in you trying to reach out to an old friend, he is not asking for money or any entitlement, if kelechi sees this and decides that he doesn't want to be friends with him anymore then he has to move on.a lot of Nigerians think you trying to reachout to a wealthy friend/family is just for personal benefits, which is not always true

This is a waste of thread.

Growing up, I had a lot of very close friends. We shared a lot and as soon as we change school, the friendship dies. It happened till I got to Jss 2 and met a guy who stuck with me even when university separated us. It’s over ten years now and we are still riding. That’s true friendship.

Playing at the academy with someone makes you his colleague and not his best friend. You don’t force it. It just happens.

So, don’t call a pity party , do you know how many people that played ball with me or the ones I paid for at viewing centers? Or PS 2?
These are irrelevant men. If u wanna beg him for money, Beg well and don’t talk like he owes you.
Ojiho gi shishi!!!

The most important thing I deduce from this open letter to Iheanacho, is that the writer have consoled himself.

He is already moving on with his life.

Moreso, from the tone of this letter, the writer is not an urchin, neither is he begging Kelechi for money to feed.

It's just too painful to have a former pal with whom you share the past, keeping you afar for no known reason other than class distinction.
Nontheless, I want to assume that the writer may have taken this as his last resort to get to his former friend.

But, 'Bala' if Kelechi could not take you as a friend any more, take it in good faith. Change happens to every aspect of our lives and your friendship to Kelechi Iheanacho is not an exception.

He will play football till he retires. He may retire to his right senses you know

The joy of making it in life either in wealth or otherwise is remembering your childhood friends, some of them are not after handouts, believe it or not, some are after handouts even then so what? i give what i can, everytimes we get together for drinks we chat freely about our child hood days.

I am grateful i am not sure to who but i have done well for myself, most of my life dreams have come through, one problem though is there are no much time left to chase the remaining dreams one is getting old fast.
