brother I appreciate your tutorial on using Boomerang... I use your pattern today and I am getting reply message which says (your message was opened) some are showing 8times although no click.... is this normal?
thanks...

Yes, the message is normal. Boomerang send you that whenever the recipient open your mail.

About the open and clicks - this metric is not accurate. Since I've been using the app, I haven't recorded "a click" even when I sent a sample mail to my other account.

On one hand, CLICK is not accurate, while on the other hand, the OPEN times might be slightly accurate since you get notified when they open your mail.

So, focus on the responses you get, as well as actions on your marketplace account. May GOD bless us all with more sales.

Cheers.

pwetie:
Just going through SH. Some individuals have over 5000+ names. Some guys are so good with names like how do they do it.

I currently have 38 names in SH. If person make a sale for SH make person really thank God.

Because, I have noticed something with Western ventures like: Google, FB, YTube & d rest. Their philosophy doesn't encourage neutral playing ground for all. Their Algorithm most times favors early starters and big guys in the industry that are already well rooted.

Whilst, some Chinese ventures aren't like that.

For example: Google Search Engine ( American venture): as a new blogger...before Google indexes ur blog articles to First page....ehh. Bloggers got the drip. But, those old sites with multiple backlinks and authority you see them coming to First page, even if they copied your article.

List in Afternic, Sedo, Dan, Auction & Epik etc

And wait for God grace.
Good observation dear,

However don't let those large portfolio's intimidate you cos sometimes it's not about portfolio size. It's more about luck with your names (Right buyer coming for your name at the right time) plus Quality/Uniqueness of your names.

Brandable Names have gone beyond just submitting your name in a brandable marketplace and getting it accepted. Now aside from Ultra premium short names, popular dictionary words, Super premium 2-keyword names. Every other type of brandable name like invented, hybrid and some random 2-keyword names are like lottery tickets where there is just one chance of a sale out of many similar alternatives.
Take for example, you own a name "Freshera" and a beverage company is looking to incorporate the word "Fresh" to brand her product. And they search the brandable marketplace for fresh related names, now they'll be bound to make a choice from variety of fresh related names like "FreshCrunch", "FreshCost",
"Freshzie", "FreshVivo", "FreshVigor", "FreshThirst", "Freshix", "Freshera"(Probably your name by assumption), "Freshio", "YeahFresh", "Fresholo", "Freshra", "Freshivo", "Freshry"
and a host of other fresh related names in the marketplace. Now you'll notice that all the above names stand the same chance from a neutral buyers perspective(and buyer needs to fall in love with just one name to purchase it. But then if one name is chosen at the end of the day the rest will wait for a next time when another buyer with similar specs comes along. Another example is say you own random invented name like "Zapata". listed in the brandable market, you might see similar names like Zapato, Zapero, Zapego,Zapoto etc. Now there nothing really special about this type of names to a potential buyer's perspective who have to pick from a just one "Zap" related keyword, thus all the names are random and all stand the same chance of being picked(Similar to a lottery ticket) that's because these are handregs at best and considered as average names and can't be compared to say "Zap dot com" or "Zaps dot com" or even something like "GoZap dot com" or "UpZap dot com" (the later examples are more better premium options that can easily stand out when listed with the rest because of their uniqueness and quality.

Hence that is why it is important to diversify your portfolio, that is, try to have a name in most major niches like Health,Tech, Fashion, Business, Consulting, Entertainment, Fitness Beauty and Cosmetic brands etc. This way when a potential buyer comes for a name in any of those niches, you already stand a chance.

Between i think Squadhelp have been "Even/Fair" and miles better when you compare them to other brandable marketplaces in terms of seller sales ratio(every seller have a chance there but like i said its way more than getting your names accepted, a bit of luck and trying to own names that'll stand out above its competitors are important factors too)
While in Brandbucket back in the days, Making a sale was like a miracle for the common seller, the same can't be said for Squadhelp cos I've seen sellers with less than 10 SH names Make a sale while on the other hand someone with 100 names is still yet to record a sale, I've even seen less number of portfolio name with success.

Personally for me, I've been lucky so far with Squadhelp with a current portfolio of 175 names I've had 6 sales along the way, this month will make it. (1 year and 2 months) i joined the platform. I started with probably around 14 names at a time. And it's been a bit of luck, and God's grace.

But then, in my 3 years and a half years at Brandbucket I've had Zero sales till date. Even at a time when i had roughly 70 names there, at some point i just grew frustrated and was selling my BB names to other domainers at Namepros for little profit and my portfolio was always fluctuating during that time, due to lack of sales. But this year i started building a portfolio again at BB with 52 published names currently (mostly i bought some of these from fellow domainers) but still no sale at the moment. But what keeps me motivated is the sales report of new comers at their BB slack channel (So that's why it's still a bit of luck and your name being at the right place at the right time.

At Sedo for example, I hear people always making sales there every now and then, but all through last year i had all my portfolio there after going through a rigorous verification process for a whole year i recorded Zero sales at Sedo marketplace lol, But every now and then people sings their praises too.

So from my experience so far, I've noticed that some stroke of luck and patience is needed in this business, it is not about the amount of names its more about the right names, and while that is imperative, one thing might work for some, while it'll not work for others.
And like you said listing in different platforms might give your names a better chance of selling faster. Keep the hope alive.

Peace cool

That's how it works bro, Gtbank will contact you to send proof of transition soon.

Today, DAN sent me something like "Mutation of Payment" that contains a specific number code. They asked me to contact my bank to sort it.

So, I will contact GTB tomorrow. Thanks for your input. smiley

About brandables, my only brandable sale so far was on BB.

That was the only brandable name I had at the time. It was published in May, got sold in November.

So it's not necessarily about portfolio size.

I dont want to quote Beckplanet long post. Its a gold mine. Newbies should read it over & over again

I will point out some things from his post

1. Patience (this is self explanatory)

2. Your name geting sold is a case of chance & opportunity dependent on the end user who needs a name at that point and yours getting picked.

Just to add, you see how you might be at a disadvantage if you set your price too high, that might make the enduser not to choose your name because he has lots of cheaper similar names to choose from

I have also had cases where the buyer did not consider a name because the price was too low!

which advice you go con follow?

3.Find out what works for you! Beckplanet has been able to identify the paltform that has worked for him or favoured him most.

4.Domain is a game of numbers they say, how do you explain someone with 5names selling on BB with over 80k names. If the saying was completely true

If you are venturing into brandables, Read the post I am responding to over & over, till it sinks

i have a name that i handreg also and getting lots of traffic in dan, and now at sedo, it has attracted over 1200 this month. With this, i think its good for bodis. But the problem is that wont it be using bodis lander? i wanted to do it for some of my domains sometimes but i am asked to change the lander to bodis. I want it to be on popular market place except bodis. Any input? Let the name renew its self.

yes, you will have to change your DNS to bodis for you to be able to use it. During the process of setting your lander at bodis, you can choose the option that will allow you have this ("The domain ////.com may be for sale. Click here to inquire about this domain). at the top of your landing page. With this you will be able to earn few parking $ and also redirect endusers to dan lander whenever they click to inquire.

House please help me out here o.
A Geo domain dropped yesterday on ED and I regged it(with code so no privacy). Checked google for endusers and I saw a company that bears the exact name. Looked them up on yelp and they had reviews, clicked on their website and it led to my domain.
Now the problem is, the plural is still available. I don't if they are going to reg that one and leave this one. And again, my 9ja details are showing in whois. Will they want to do business with me after finding out?
And if I should get their email should I contact first or wait?

When you place a call with the app, you choose which number you want displayed on the end user's phone (the US number preferably). I think you go ahead and pick the number of your choice after payment, can't remember now. But Click on More, scroll down to Help & about us, click on Feedback or report an issue, scroll down to Free phone number and request for the free number in the dialogue box, then hit submit. You'll get a response from them with a few numbers to make a choice from.

abeg this dingtone app when calling does it show your local number? because that what min does.

Anyway around it? I bought 400credit and they said free number comes with it. But I don't understand.

You have had the same experience i do with the app @cornOak
One thing that makes me continue to use the app is Their beautiful user interface that makes life easier for me.

Regarding click, the click doesn't record, so no need to worry about that.

Regarding OPEN, one way to ensure it's accuracy is, when u want to send email make sure everything is correct, so that when u send u won't have to open the email. If u open d email b4 the receiver does, That's where the glitch happens, the app will record is it is the receiver that opens it. So u will have to wait and receive email from Boomerang that it has been opened, it's now u wil be certain that the receiver has opened it. U can now open it afterwards if u want.
