I was about warning the guy before I saw this. You've said it all bro. I strongly advise the guy in question to use escrow (DAN or epik) or insist on the buyer paying the bitcoin into his own wallet and wait for at least 3 confirmations before sending domain.

1. I would say partially yes because my full details isn't showing on Whois. Only my state and country is visible.

I also noticed the Registrar showing Key-Systems GmbH instead of the usual Network Solutions.

2. Yes the promo is still on. It doesn't require any promo code but I observed it is easily accessible when you follow the promo link itself, the discount would be automatically applied.
