To be candid, its gonna be quite difficult but then there are options. Factors to determine will be: Your profession or your spouse profession (This might be able to get you a tier-2), How much savings have you got up till now that might be used for studentship? @ bolded, there will always be hassle but you've got to overcome it. So much assistance here also. deegov: |

deegov: Tier-2 criteria: Apply to, and Get a job as a permanent staff in an establishment in any tier-2 eligible environment. When the company issues you a certificate of sponsorship, you then migrate. |

RalphJean: Please as a beginer as i just stumbled on this thread, how do i apply and get job in any tier 2 eligible environment. Sorry for disturbing you, your guidance is needed. |
Re: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by dustydee: 12:25pm On Jun 17, 2020 |
deegov:Look at eligible employers (someone posted the link yesterday or so) then apply for jobs in those companies. If successful, they will issue you a certificate of sponsorship which you will use to apply for your visa. You can also apply to startups, depending on your skillset and if they really need you, they can decide to go through the process of sponsorship. Depending on your skillset, you can apply through the Tier 1 exceptional talent route. Google it for therequirements. 2 Likes |

Hello house, I've come to discus car insurance. I did my first comprehensive Car Insurance last September with Admiral (Black Box). I paid a total of £1085 (over 10 months). I assumed annual mileage of 10000 miles, but so far I've driven just over 5000 miles. £500 voluntary excess. I used the blackbox until December when they asked me to send it back, which I did. Whle using the blackbox, Admiral sent me weekly emails grading my driving. I stated out very good but the last 2 months, I got poor ratings (mostly due to regularly driving just above the speed limit ). I didn't make any claims. I had one small minor accident with another car in december, but the driver and I agreed to handle it without involving insurance. This Admiral insurance expires in a few weeks. I was looking forward to paying between £400 - $600 as renewal. However, Admiral is now offering me £979 to renew. This is basically the same amount as last year, and I'm not going to pay this much to renew. I've tried getting quotes from comparison websites (USwitch, GoCOmpare, CompareTheMarket) and the lowest quote I'm getting is £800 from Marshmallow and £816 from RAC (using another Blackbox). I checked aviva's website, and they offered £980. I'm confused. Am I doing something wrong to be getting these high renewal quotes? Can someone recommend a cheaper car insurance that is not available on these comparison sites? |

spacyzuma:always try to get your quote through phone calls. It way cheaper than using the website tool. I make use of Adrian flux brokers. They give best quotes. Try give them a call! Let me know the quote they will give you afterwards. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Tobexin: So many companies have notices on their websites saying covid has reduced their customer service team so we shouldn't call unless very necessary. But I'll call henceforth. Thanks. |

@bolded Check confused.com Call same admiral and tell them you want your NCB that you are leaving as you got a better offer with another company. They will most likely ask you how much offer you got. Tell them you got £550 of £600 and ask them if they can match it. Your post code, model of car, your age (over 25s are seen as lower risk than u25s, additional driver (try to add an experience driver without any claims in the last 5 years), NCB and your profession are determinants of car insurance quote. Tweaking your job title can also help. spacyzuma: |

E be like sey home office done do me 419 I called the home office covid-19 immigration support team to ask if I have to pay the IHS because I’m a front line NHS staff. They said I shld pay but apply for a refund. They gave me email address to contact to get a refund after payment. I made the payment and sent this email with all my details and application number about 2 weeks ago. I got a reply today saying: Thank you for contacting the UKVI NHS Team. On 21 May, it was announced that the Home Secretary and the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care were to work together to exempt NHS and health and care staff from the Immigration Health Surcharge. Officials in the Home Office and the Department of Health and Social Care are working through how to implement this change and full details will be announced in due course. In respect of employees that work in this sector, the Immigration Health Surcharge will continue to apply until such time as an exemption is in place. Please continue to check the GOV.UK webpages, as this is where updated advice will be published. The latest information and advice can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-advice-for-uk-visa-applicants-and-temporary-uk-residents Kind Regards, UKVI NHS Team |
